Blue Ridge Design Build recently completed a deck remodel for us, transforming our old deck into a beautiful three-season room. The new space features tile flooring, skylights, a spiral staircase, and a covered outdoor deck. We couldn't be more thrilled with both the finished result and the entire experience working with their team. Landon was our on-site lead, consistently punctual, and worked tirelessly—even in the summer heat. Tim and Logan did an outstanding job during the design phase, keeping us informed about costs and details. The overall process was comprehensive and thorough We would highly recommend them.

Blue Ridge Design Build finished our basement for us and we couldn't be any happier! They might be a bit on the pricier side, but they are absolutely worth every penny! They give you extensive, individualized attention during the design phase to understand exactly how you want your space to look. For the actual construction, they pull all the necessary permits and make sure everything is up to (usually exceeding) the necessary code; their quality is absolutely unmatched. They were working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week until they were done, and we had frequent meetings with them to go over what they had done and what they were still working on. We had a couple minor concerns throughout the project and as soon as we voiced them, they were resolved within a day or two! Our basement will truly be a special space for decades to come and it wouldn't have been possible without Blue Ridge Design Build. I wish I could give you more than 5 stars; we can't thank you enough!!!

Blue Ridge Design Build just completed our project – removing an old jacuzzi tub and installing a soaking tub, along with new plumbing, additional electrical outlets, and replacing doors and trim. The renovation also included a new tile floor, sheetrock work, and new paint and stain throughout the room.

Everyone involved was highly professional and addressed our questions and concerns quickly. Tim and Logan demonstrated a thorough understanding of our needs and kept us informed throughout the progress. Jordan was meticulous and detail-oriented in his daily work in our home. Blue Ridge Design Build was absolutely the cleanest contractor with whom we have ever worked. The project brought this room from 1999 into the 21st century.

Blue Ridge Design Build did a wonderful job for us. Our home needed new siding and windows. We also wanted to change our three car garage into a two car garage and convert the space with a side entrance into a mudroom, a bump out for a laundry area and also huge pantry. The project is now complete and it all looks just as I hoped it would! Beautiful! Our team was Tim and Logan as contractors, Evan as project manager (such a good carpenter) and Landon who built the most amazing cherry bench for the mudroom! Stephanie, Susan and Joyce helped with design choices as well. They were all very professional, and the job site was clean at the end of each day. We have more we need to do to our house such as a screened in porch, the kitchen and bathrooms and we will 100% use them again for the next projects. Very happy with the work!

Our bath remodeling project was very well managed from initial quote to final wrap up. There were upsets with the tiler along the way but Blue Ridge Home Improvement responded to the issues professionally and was always in full support of the customer. Their project management of change orders was very well controlled. In the end we knew exactly what we were paying for in explicit detail. They were high quality from beginning to end and we are very pleased with the final outcome.

They worked with us patiently through the entire process and gave time and attention to every detail. They were great at communication, friendly, hard working and talented! From the design phase, through choosing cabinets, countertop, flooring, lighting, etc., our experience with Blue Rigde was extremely positive. Their designers listened to our needs and found the materials exactly as we requested. Once the demolition and construction started, their carpenter was there every day, working all day, cleaning up each evening. He was personable, efficient, obviously very skilled and answered all of our questions when asked. Our new kitchen is just what we wanted. Quality, Excellent Communication, Professionalism.I just completed two projects with Blue Ridge Home Improvement: an enclosed sunroom and a screen patio. I HIGHLY recommend BRHI. I had a WOW experience. The project manager assigned on site with the project had excellent quality workmanship, was courteous and consciousness about the work environment, neighboring houses potential disruption, left the workplace neat and tidy every evening, excellent communication all the way through the project and a far better experience than anticipated. Hands down, the BEST contractor I have every worked with. Excellent communication and no surprises.

BRHI removed our aging deck and built a completely new, updated, and beautiful deck for our home this summer. Two assets of BRHI that stand out are #1 their attention to detail in both the project planning phase (no surprises) and also in the quality of their workmanship(they definitely take pride in this) and #2 their thorough, open, and respectful communication throughout the project with the client, especially by Logan, our project manager. These two company qualities reduced our stress and gave us confidence on a daily basis that our new deck would turn out to be a great asset for our home. We also appreciated details such as punctuality of the workers, cleanliness of the worksite, and great work done by subcontractors. We had an excellent experience with BRHI and are very happy with both the process and outcome of our deck project, and highly recommend them!

We hired BRHI after they met us at the house we had just purchased to discuss our goals for the project. We hired them for a major renovation (turning two small bedrooms into a master bedroom and en suite bathroom) as well as to enclose our porch. From the start they were forthright with us about our ideas and their recommendations. I think what we found most reassuring (and different from other contractors we've worked with) is that they listened to us. They listened to our needs and wants and understood this project was about us. They made suggestions and recommendations, but never tried to force their ideas on us, and always respected our contribution (we nearly always went with their ideas and suggestions - they are the pros after all, but I always knew the decisions were up to us). The work they did was excellent and Logan always made sure that we were satisfied with the results. When there were delays (things out of their control) they were honest and up front about how that would impact the projects, and I was impressed with how they were able to be flexible and adjust the original timeline to ensure the projects were always moving forward. I would feel comfortable recommending them to a friend or loved one for a remodel project, and wouldn't hesitate to reach out to them if we need anything else done in the future.

Blue Ridge Home Improvement rebuilt our front porch last year and we couldn’t be happier - they are a family-owned business and we found them to be incredibly professional, personable, courteous, knowledgeable, and hard working. Very positive experience with Blue Ridge with a large project where we added a bedroom and bath to the back of the house. These builders deliver high quality workmanship in a timely manner. The workers from this family owned operation show up regularly, work rain snow or sleet, and work long and hard. They are tidy, considerate, and trustworthy. We recommend them highly.

It's been almost a year since Blue Ridge Home Improvement finished renovated my kitchen and I'm just as happy today as the day they finished. They also did my breakfast area and powder room. Susan, our kitchen designer, was wonderful to work with. She listened to me when I had strong ideas, helped guide me in areas where I found the choices a little overwhelming, and came up with a design that I loved. Richard, our carpenter, transformed those ideas into reality. His workmanship is superior. He was at our house almost every day, kept the job site very clean, and our communication was excellent. Although surprises are inevitable when doing a major home renovation (our subfloor was in pretty rough shape), I was very pleased at how close Richard was able to keep to the schedule. I can't recommend Blue Ridge Home Improvement enough and would definitely use them again.

They charged me a $130 consultation fee just to come look at the house to get a quote. The quote came back and cost almost twice as much as what I ended up paying someone else to do.

I can't say the level of work they will perform but they told me "You get what you pay for" but you will be able to find others that are cheaper and do good work.
