BJ Contracting of WV

BJ Contracting of WV did an awesome job for me. From Justin who came out to see what was needed to be done before the closing of my house, to Robert and Dave who did the work needed. Great guys, great work. I am very pleased from beginning to end! I would recommend BJ Contracting of WV, Definity!! Thank you all for a job well done!

The work they did inside was great. And they made an adjustment that allowed pipes to be hidden and even corrected something they found. The electrical work was also done in on an expedited schedule. Did they best they could to get it done in the time frame given.

They installed a new front door and windows In my daughter’s attic. It was fast, efficient and no hidden costs, right on budget.
Definitely would recommend!

I had a wonderful experience with BJ Contracting of WV. They installed new flooring and drywall, reinstalled cabinets, and completed several other smaller jobs. The work looks great and was finished with great professionalism. It was also very close to the original cost and time estimate. Unforeseen circumstances made it go a little above the estimate but that was not their fault. I would highly recommend BJ Contracting of WV to anyone who needs work done on their home.

BJ were very good at communication and being proactive in scheduling. The contractors where on time and work diligently to complete my repair.

The work the crew did for us was great. However, communication was definitely lacking. After paying the final invoice, I also got an additional invoice for over 10% of the total cost. Several months after receiving the invoice, I’m still unable to get in touch with a manager to discuss the charges. One of the only answers I got back from somebody on the work crew was that this additional charge was just overlooked. Accidents happen, but it sure would be nice to be able to discuss this charge, one that I didn’t sign a change order for! Will not be back for further business.

Edit: I appreciate the response. For what it’s worth, I called over 10 times over the course of a few weeks, being sure to leave a message with the secretary most of those times. I’m not too sure how I could have tried harder! It’s honestly far too much of a burden to keep up on this, so I’ve decided to “forgive and forget.” I’ve sent the payment; no need to discuss further.

We just had them do work on a rental. Storm damage blew an exhaust pipe from a water heater partially away from the house, and the wind had also pulled up some shingles and that area was repaired and shingles taken care of. They did the work on the first non- stormy day. Reasonable charges for a job well done

They wasted so much of my time and money. Hired them to install lp smart siding on my new house. They they rushed it, didn't finish, and charged me more to come back and do it incorrectly. They left a huge pile of trash, which I had to call multiple times to get them to pick up. I've spent 3+ days finishing the caulking they had me pay extra for. DO NOT Recommend!

You guys did such a terrible job. I seriously can't put in to words the pain you guys have caused me. I wish you nothing but failure. You do not deserve to run a company. I'm still fixing your mistakes. When I have time, I will make an effort to give you a bad review on every platform.

We were looking to have a house demolished. After several estimates with multiple companies we decided to go with BJ Contracting. We received a detailed estimate, quick responses to all our questions and a reasonable start date. Much to our surprise, we were contacted with a revised start date and the project was completed 3 weeks ahead of schedule. The crew promptly showed up, and immediately began working. As the day went on other crew members arrived to streamline the demolition.
Everyone was very efficient and professional and answered any questions we had. The job was completed in 2 days. This included the demolition, clean up and removal, a long with grading and reseeding the lot. We couldn't be more pleased with a job well done. We will definitely use them again for future projects.

I met the BJ Contracting business at Bridgeport Light Up Night 2022. They were passing out free good-sized bags of popcorn to thousands of excited Christmas lovers.

I also bought my first home in February 2022. During the purchase I kept in the back of my mind that I would need a new roof. Well the nasty wind storm we had right before the new year decided for me, it was time. I could hear drip, drip on the attic floor and knew it wasn’t a normal sound. The following week it dawned on me, why not call BJ Contracting to take a look. They are close by and I remembered their booth at Light Up Night. I made the phone call around 9 a.m. to the company and within minutes we were meeting at the house to check things out. A quote was discussed, first half paid down, and the roofing team would be out the same week. After the run down of what would happen, I didn’t want a second opinion. BJ Contracting was taking care of me. I also have no knowledge of roofing whatsoever, but we talked like it was just a friendly neighbor coming over.

My roof was completed in one day and in the same week of the purchase. Tears of joy!

I've used these guys for a lot of projects over the last few years. I've always been able to depend on them for excellent service at a good price. I'd recommend them to anyone.
