I was very impressed with Erick and his team from start to finish. I wanted to remove my chimney and keep the piping so we can still use our fireplace without increasing our chances of leaks by the chimney. He was great to run with my ideas and he didn't charge me extra to replace my broken skylights (from the hail storm) that I had purchased. They even painted all my piping so it melds with my house better. I loved that they finished my roof and two sheds in one day. It was also great to have the gutters on the same bid. Very happy!

I asked in a community page what company people had the best roofing experience with, hands down Erick and Big West were the most highly recommended and they weren’t wrong. Excellent choice in replacing my roof with them. Thorough, consistent communication, straight forward, great clean up and my roof looks fantastic.

Great experience. Several homes around ours need their roofs replaced, due to a huge hailstorm that came through. Eric and his crew were faster and appeared to be cleaner and more thorough than any of the several others I observed. They showed up on time, finished on time, and even steam cleaned any marks left on the driveway by tires, tar, shingles, etc. Possibly the most important thing of all was that they did it correctly. I noticed some other installers cutting corners on things that might not be visible on the surface, once the job is done, but matter a LOT under the surface. I have already recommended Big West Roofing to a number of people.

Big West Roofing is a commerical and residential roofing company owned by Erick Funn. Erick is a true professional with years of experience. I've had my home reroofed several times over the years and Big West is the best company I've delt with. Erick gave me a good bid and I excepted. A few days later he came back with an even lower price with a with a different material with a similar guarantee. I was completely surprised. After the job was completed I called him 2 different times with a problem and he came out both times without charge and made it right. Erick backs up his guarantee. Big West Roofing saved the day! I was introduced to Erick by my neighbor after they had received an estimate on their roof after a hailstorm that hit our part of town. Erick gave me an estimate that was much more affordable than I expected. He walked me through the claims process, was there when the adjustor came, and after additional damage was found once the work started, he submitted supplemental claims for the added repairs. He made an intimidating situation very easy and worry free! I am extremely fortunate that Big West Roofing was our roof contractor! From the initial roof inspection, through dealing with insurance for us, meeting with the field adjuster, and getting us paid quickly by our insurance company, it was an incredible and easy experience. Professional and willing to work with insurance companies without issue. They take time to understand the issue and any concerns. He came the same time as the adjuster from insurance and double checked their work as we all know they need it. They do all the thinking and leg work. A huge hail storm hit our neighborhood and affected hundreds of homes. Erick from Big West Roofing came out to inspect our damage. He took tons of photos and explained everything. He gave us our options, including doing nothing at all, and how each would affect our home in the long run. No one had ever explained our options so comprehensively. He didn’t try and sell us on something we didn’t need and he went through our insurance options as well. In the end, we opted for replacing our roof going through our insurance. Our insurance company sent out an adjuster who didn’t mark half of the damage and wouldn’t go on the high peak of our roof where we were missing tiles and where the majority of the damage was. Needless to say, our insurance company came back with only a repair of our roof. Erick went to our insurance company and fought for us. When they sent out the same adjuster the second time, he demanded someone else. They sent out a new adjuster who was extremely comprehensive. Our roof ended up getting a full replacement. Erick gave us all of our options allowing us to choose a roof that would withstand future damage better and is more beautiful than we could ever imagine. Big West Roofing went above and beyond for us and for those that had referred us to them. I would highly recommend a consultation any time you are worried about your roof.
