Mike did a pre-purchase inspection for me on a very old home. I've owned many rental properties and feel I know what I'm looking at in a home but Mike's knowledge and keen eye impressed me more than other inspectors I've dealt with.

I am in the middle of purchasing a home, I think. I am new to the area and selected Aztec Home Inspections based on the number of high ratings on Google reviews and am glad I did so. Mike is clearly well experienced, has up-to-date technology and is educated on providing a thorough inspection and follow up information. With the report I knew the areas of concern of the home, as well as what works well in the home. I have called Mike multiple times to ask questions about the report, if he is not available immediately, he calls back shortly and give clear answers to my questions. Perhaps the home purchase will go through, perhaps it won't, it depends on the seller working with me to tackle some of the issues with this home. I can say that Aztecs Inspection alerted me to issues that I need to be concerned about so I can effectively communicate those issues to the owner to hopefully come to a mutually agreeable conclusion.

We are new home buyers. This inspection was very helpful and Mike has provided us with really good information about the possible issues with new construction homes and how to address them on time. Due to some reasons, our house was not ready with all the installations by the time of our initial appointment for pre-dry wall inspection. However, Mike was generous enough to fit in his schedule to come back again and complete the inspection.

We used Mike at Aztec after a furnace steam humidifier in our crawl space malfunctioned and filled our crawl space with moisture unbeknownst to us for several weeks. We only realized we had a problem after our hardwood floors started to warp. He came promptly and addressed our situation which included mold assessment and remediation. We were pleased when he was able to also install new hardwood flooring thus eliminating the need for a different contractor. After taking care of the mold and installing the floors, we opted to have him encapsulate our crawl space. Throughout this whole process, Mike was very informative and responded quickly to our emails and texts. All of his work was reasonably priced and of the highest quality. While Mike and his helpers were professional in their interactions, they were also very personable. We will definitely use Mike and Aztec for any future needs we may have.

Mike was fantastic for our home inspection. He was incredibly thorough and found/documented both major and minor flaws in the house. Walking around with him was also an amazing educational experience. Even if we hadn't done the inspection, I would have loved to just learn about the house with him. Michael was very thorough with the inspection and went above and beyond my expectations. If you are purchasing a home, it is one of the greatest financial investments you will make. I highly recommend Michael to be able to give you a piece of mind to know what you are purchasing. It is then up to you on what you decide to do with the report. With today's market, I think it is foolish to purchase a home without having an inspection. Sometimes you just want the house and will do anything to get it, even bypassing the home inspection. Not a good idea. The house we had inspected had a leak in the garage that could not be seen with the naked eye and there were some other major items that the home inspection called out. Had it not been for the inspection, or having someone else not as detailed as Michael, we could have been setting ourselves up for a money pit with repairs and upgrades. It was disappointing that we did not get the house that we wanted, but much more relieved that we did it the right way and found these things out before purchasing the home. I highly recommend Michael and will be using him again when we get to the point of putting in an offer for our next home.

In addition to being very rude when I called with questions, "mike" inspected the home I was purchasing and passed the AC unit which I had to put $250 into after I moved in and it still doesn't work. When I called him with questions he started yelling at me and told me I broke it. Additionally the toilets barely flush. Would never use this service again!!

Mike with Aztec Home Inspections did an awesome job inspecting our new construction home. When we did our walkthrough with the builder, the builder's project manager indicated he was grateful for the review and noted that some of the things Mike found were things that he would never have seen (e.g., the sewer pipe in the attic that didn't connect up to the pipe going through the roof). He also provided good guidance on radon mitigation as we're moving here from an area where radon isn't really a thing and we had no clue about it. Though this is an additional cost when buying a home, it is well-worth the investment.
