Mehmet and his crew met every expectation and went above and beyond when replacing our roof. The price was excellent, the work bar none, and the best part was how clean our yard looked afterwards. I already scheduled another project for my backyard and Mehmet and A and Z are my go to guys for any job. Can't say enough good things!

Wish I could zero stars for this contractor but hoping this review will help others. As a first time home owner, I wasn't informed enough and learnt a terrible lesson, but, now I know better.

- First spoke with Matt Bolca from A&Z Construction on 8/25/21.
- On 8/26/21, met with Matt and his dad to discuss work to be done. He did not have a start date but promised to let me know.
- On 8/30/21 I inquired into the estimate which he was to provide within 2 days but did not.
- On 9/9/21 I inquired with Matt on an estimate and possible start date. He was delayed with his kids and other truck repairs.
- Contract signed on 9/14/21 & no prices; 1st payment of $6000 made.
- Work was to start week beginning 9/20/21 as per discussion. In hindsight, I should have researched the requirements that should be on a contract, but a verbal agreement is just as binding.
- Matt was to start work on 10/22/21 but said his kids were ill, he was doing other people's work, his truck has issues etc.
- On 10/26/21 I sent him a stern text telling him to start my work by Friday or return my down payment.
- After that it was a constant cycle of delays and lies.
- Matt asked for an additional $6000 on 12/6/21 saying he was going to buy materials for my house which I questioned the need for since there wasn't any work that required another down payment. He said it was to make sure he got things as supply chains were not good. Based on Covid challenges it made sense, so I gave it to him, but no materials ever showed up; said he had it.
- On 1/19/22 I fired Matt for incomplete work on multiple small closets. He kept using cheap materials and doing SLOPPY work. Nothing he has done has been up to par for a man who brags he has been in this business for 22 years.
- It took him 4 months to complete work that should have been done in a month or less, pretty much stole $6000 from me, had many delays with incomplete work even though I have been accommodating.
- They are dishonest, unscrupulous, and unethical.

Worked with Al to get an estimate and schedule. I was able to email him pictures of what needed to be done to save everyone's time. We had put in two new windows and removed AC units and needed cedar shakes to be patched around the existing ones.

Matt(his son) came to do the work. He was very professional and did an excellent job. Could not recommend more! Thanks so much!
