We recently hired Artistic Touch to paint all the outside trim on our 2 story home. Ken Murray (owner) and his team member Bruce were very professional, competent, trustworthy, flexible, and patiently willing to answer the many questions we had. Communication with Ken was easy via email and/or text. Although we waited almost a year before we could get onto their busy schedule, it was well worth the wait. We're definitely happy with the results...highly recommend.

Ken and his crew did an amazing job repairing, staining and painting our house. No detail was overlooked! There were unexpected repairs to the roof, beams and steps. They took care of all of it. There was even an electrical issue while replacing our exterior light fixtures and Ken was able to fix it! I highly recommend them. We are so happy with how it turned out.

Artistic Touch painted the exterior of our home. Ken runs a very professional outfit. He has been in the business for 22 years and his experience shows! After power washing our home, Ken brought his carpenter Steve to meet with me. Steve used common sense to address various repairs to fascia, cedar siding, etc.. He did no more than was needed and his work was of superior quality. Then Ken's painters arrived. They were 3 of the nicest people you could meet. They assured my wife that they would complete their work without harming a single plant in her extensive garden and they were right. The painters were skilled, methodical and hard working. They clearly knew what they were doing. They knew all the tricks of the trade. Each day they cleaned and stored their equipment neatly before leaving for the evening. They were respectful of our privacy and worked efficiently. Ken was an excellent communicator throughout the process. There were no surprises and he was nimble when we made some special requests. As he said, "We are here to give you the house that you envision". The quality of their work is the proof in the pudding. We could not be happier with the end result. Our house is beautiful

Highly recommend this team! They were efficient, thorough, quality-focused, discerning and super supportive with advice and resources. My poor house needed a massive re-do on my interior stairs, and also exterior trim work, including repairing some rotting wood-work. I love the results - the team were friendly, super respectful and easy to have around, and the results are exactly what I hoped for.

We have used Artistic Touch on two major projects: exterior staining of our home/barn/garage and interior painting. Both projects had their complications. Especially the house interior, which is a timber frame home with lots of intricate woodwork, required a high level of skill and attention to detail. Ken's teams delivered on both projects and for a fair price. His painters were professional and did great work. As importantly to us, they were conscientious, respectful, friendly but not intrusive -- generally good people to have around during the project.

We are entirely satisfied with both projects. Highly recommended.

This is the second time I have hired Artistic Touch Painting. They are professional, easy to work with and attend to the details. They painted the entire basement of an old home, as well as replaced some damaged trim. They coordinated well with other professionals on site (we replaced the floor as well) which was very helpful. Artistic Touch did a fantastic job on both the interior and exterior painting for my south Whidbey home. Ken and his team are responsive and thorough. I had a hard time picking out an exterior color that I liked. Ken was very patient and returned three times with different samples to make sure we picked the color we would be happy with.

In the process of painting the exterior, we decided to replace a deck which had rotted boards. The new deck looks fantastic and was very fairly priced.

Most of all, Ken is very responsive whenever I contact him for questions or to bid additional projects.

I will definitely continue to use Artistic Touch for any future painting or construction work.

Last year I purchased a home on Whidbey Island that desperately needed exterior painting. The bid from Artistic Touch was some 20% lower than another contractor, but don't let that fool you--the quality was absolutely first rate, from power washing to prep to primer to the actual painting itself. The crew was professional, meticulous, and thorough. I was so pleased that when Ken offered a bid to replace a rotting wooden walkway into my backyard I jumped on it and let them build a set of stone steps that are not only more attractive, but safer and more permanent. They took the time to do these jobs right, my house now looks fantastic, and will for many years to come. I am definitely keeping them in mind for future projects. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Ken and his crew did an excellent job prepping and painting our house on Whidbey Island. His bid was thorough and competitive. When we met with Ken to select paint colors and review the scope of work he was careful to point out areas where additional repairs were recommended. He made arrangements for a carpenter to complete those repairs. His attention to the detail even included replacing a failed deck joist bracket, repainting the house numbers and carport can lights. The quality of the paint job was top notch! I would highly recommend Ken and Artistic Touch Painting!

Ken and his crew did an exceptional job painting the considerable trim on our home. We've had other painters over the years and find Ken's operation to be superior. They were very mindful of my concerns: there was no damage to the landscaping and no gates left open for rabbits/deer, They do an awesome job of taking care of the property and cleaning as they go.

We also had Ken install an interior door on an open closet. It required wood trim to match other door frames. We are very pleased with the results!

Ken and his team spent several weeks at my home this July and August, transforming the exterior from a bit of a broken mess to a really beautifully finished home. They carefully and thoroughly pressure washed and sanded the exterior before painting my entire home beautifully. Not only that, but the team also flashed and trimmed out every window, replaced rotting/broken siding, trimming rotting fascia boards uniformly, installed a new door and repaired my deck! Ken's team was exceptional. They believed from the start in the transformation of my home and they were very positive and encouraging throughout the process. I hired Ken and his team for two reasons: one, I know Ken as an honest and trustworthy human. I knew I could have complete confidence in his pricing and in his work, and both proved to be very true. Two, I hired Ken because I knew his crew would be kind and comfortable to have at my home. Again, they did not disappoint. They worked hard every day, were very friendly and respectful, and kept the job site tidy. My home looks wonderful and I'm so grateful to Ken and his team for that!

We were very happy with Ken Murray and his crew at Artistic Touch painting.
Ken cleaned, restained and topcoated our log home, our cedar horizontal lap sided garage, cedar fences and gates.
He also did some paint touchup on doors and windows.
Ken was easy to work with and was amenable to using a product I prefer for the logs. He recommended a different product for the lap siding. Both turned out very well.
We felt the price was reasonable, the work was excellent and the crew members were respectful and nice to have at our home.
We plan to use Ken repeatedly for our painting projects in the future.

Ken and his team were fantastic. From an early and very acceptable bid, and then date and color changes on my part, Ken was understanding and very patient and able to schedule the job to a most suitable week for us. The colors came out perfect for our "Norwegian" theme, and his attention to detail was excellent. Cleanup was perfect too and I can only give Artistic Touch Painting my highest recommendation.

We have used Artistic Touch Painting for 3 different projects. We've been incredibly satisfied every time, so we keep hiring them for more work.

They've built a new deck for us, which was a complicated project because it includes a 5,000-lb hot tub being suspended 10 feet above the ground. The project required engineering work and permitting with Island County (which was complicated because we are waterfront). We're very happy with the end result.

Another project included remodeling 3 interior rooms, that included removing a second kitchen in the house (previously a mother-in-law apartment within the house).

Finally, they've also painted the full interior and exterior of our house.

Every time, the price was fair, and the work was perfect quality. We're already discussing a 4th project with them for later in the year.

Thorough. Thoughtful. Professional. Reasonable. When we remodeled our house, Ken's painting helped take it from "meh" and dated to cute and classic. He is adept at blending the customer's ideas and inspiration with his expertise on what works and what doesn't to arrive at a successful design solution.

Staying on top of a major remodeling project from afar is challenging at best, but Ken made it easy for us! He and his crew undertook significant improvements and remodeling at our home, during most of which we were absent. He kept us up to date on progress and issues, and sent us frequent pictures of the work in progress so we could deal with any issues or problems. Their work was top-notch and we would gladly deal with them again but for the fact that we kind of hope that we're all done with our construction projects!

Ken was beyond excellent. We had him replicate woodwork and it was beyond beautiful. He was so professional. Always showed up when he said, notified us when colors were off (he was right), did a beautiful, and timely job. Replaced all doors -interior and exterior, put in ceiling recessed lights, fixed a roof leak, etc. I wish I could attach pictures. I am so glad he did our work.

Ken is a total pro. Over the last five years, he and his crew have painted the exterior of one of our homes and the interiors of two.
