Arrow Roofing and Siding

If I could give them 0 I would. I would not recommend these guys to anyone. They were great to start off but once they got a down payment they ghosted us for two weeks so we couldn’t even get a refund if we wanted to. I had to call and leave the owner Josh a voicemail talking about how they advertise for being part of the better business bureau on their site but they actually are not affiliated at all.

A few things about them is that they do 0 work themselves besides estimates. Everyone is subcontractors that shows up so you are trying to fight your way through someone to get ahold of Arrow to fix anything that goes wrong.

A few things that happened with our repair that was started almost 3 months ago, after the osb was taken off the roof, someone stepped on our indoor ceiling drywall. Which meant another subcontractor had to come out and fix that. Also the gutter subcontractor that came out apparently fell off our roof and broke a few fence pickets. Nothing was said to us so when I sent arrow and image of the broken fence they seemed oblivious, called the gutter company, the owner of the gutter company said they knew it happened and they would fix it. They didn’t let anyone know it happened though and were going to just let it stay that way. They never did and I guess an estimator from Arrow came out and did it.

Overall I am glad the roof is done, it looks great but their communication is abysmal and I’m glad we can move on.

Arrow came out to give me an estimate to have insulation blown into our attic space. Said estimate should only take a couple days to get back with us. It has now been over 2 months. Have called multiple times to get a different excuse each time. Finally called a different company and we had completed next day. Horrible experience.

Would give them zero stars if I could. Caught them making short cuts on the framing for our house, they ordered the wrong color for our siding, left us without gutters for 3 weeks, office was extremely rude and defensive on big mistakes, and even installed a vent incorrectly when they did the roof causing a leak into the house. Had to have them come out several times after the work was complete trying to get it done correctly, it was very painful.

Kicked out of the Better Business Bureau! Look them up on the BBB website. This company does not know what the words quality or integrity means. Stay far, far away from them. They used to be good before getting under new ownership, and their reputation has been horrible ever since.

Do not hire these people!

I employed Arrow to do a flat roof repair over a back porch and later, to install new gutters and vented soffit front and rear at a small rental property. They installed the roof OK but put a new drip edge directly over the old, resulting in more water coming down my facia then into the gutters. They also had to install the gutters twice because they didn’t use a level the first time, resulting in water running the wrong way.

On the front of the property, they were supposed to remove remnants of a flat roof that was torn off and install a course of new shingles and drip edge. They didn’t and the subs installed the gutter right over the old rubber.

On the soffit instal, they ran out of material half way through and didn’t come back to compete the job for 5 weeks! When they did finally do the work they used panels with a different texture, making a bizarre appearance from the street.

When I asked them to make all this right, they proceeded to “gas light” me about when it would happen. Always " We're waiting for material." or “Your on the schedule.” but never actually showing up.

This project started in May and now we're into November. 6 months! Most places could build an entire house quicker then that.

Last, this company has had it’s accreditation with the Better Business Bureau revoked. Their BBB rating is F (For some reason they have a 4.1 star average on Google though, which is one of the reasons I hired them. Lesson learned.)

Referred my neighbor to Arrow for new gutters. They have had her deposit going on 2 months and work has yet to be done. She has requested her money back and left messages, with no return call. Arrow had their BBB accreditation suspended in July. Review the complaints on the BBB site before contracting with this company.

I would give them 0 stars if I could. I received a quote that wasn't too much higher than some random guy quoted, and I went with Arrow because they're supposedly a reputable company with a warranty. I paid half of the estimate to get on the schedule, and was scheduled to have them come out 9/25. I was told they would call the day before to give me a window of time, but that didn't happen, so I called to ask and was told they don't have a way to contact the crew, so they don't know what time they're coming. I wait all day and nothing. I call and leave a message for someone to call me back and let me know why they never showed up and why no one called about it. The woman answering the phones said she wasn't sure what happened and the woman in charge of the crews (Crystal) had been unable to get in touch with them, so they were confused and didn't know what was going on. So I leave another message when nothing happened Thursday. I call again Friday because no one thinks they need to return my phone calls, only to be told they still didn't know what was going on, and Crystal wasn't in the office so the woman answering the phones couldn't do anything. I leave a message for Crystal to call me, since apparently there is no one else in charge of anything, and instead of calling me, Crystal sends me a text message like a 13 year old who's afraid to talk to somebody. She said they were backed up and she put me on the schedule for next Wednesday - without asking me if I would even be available. There was no effort made by Arrow to get this work taken care of, and the communication was ridiculous! Crystal offered nothing to make the situation right, and said she would be refunding the amount I paid. So now I have to wait for that request Crystal put in for a refund, and who knows how long that will take, and then I'm going to have to get that money back from my credit card because it doesn't have a balance on it, all while getting other companies out here to give me a quote. A truly garbage company with a bunch of incompetent people!

Be very cautious using them. While the work they did was fine (in the end) there were a lot of things that did not go well along the way. First we were told the job would be done in 3-4 weeks from the time we signed the contract. It took almost 14 weeks. There were multiple days they claimed they would be starting but something always came up and they couldn't start the job (not to mention they would wait to the morning of to let us know it wasn't happening and only after i reached out to confirm). Of the frustration could have been avoided if they were upfront and honest. Their communication is sub par at best. They don't update their clients and I was left to hound them for updates on when the job would start, when material would be delivered, when things would be finished. I would have to text/call multiple times and days in a row to get a response. All I asked for along the way was to be updated in a timely manner so we could plan. That just didn't happen and there was always an excuse why...but never was it their fault and no apologies were ever given. When the job actually did start they ordered incorrectly not once but twice. This was after I specifically asked if it was enough material the first time it was delivered. They assured me it was even after sending photos. Nope. So more material was ordered. Was not enough again. Then the material was on backorder which delayed the project even more. Again no apology. I get things happen but when asked how it happened twice, they just had no idea. The first crew after finished left things half completed (siding nails sticking through the garage, joint pieces sticking out) and trim that was two different colors. They damaged part of our deck and our dish which had to be replaced. In my opinion this is things they should have noticed and fixed. If we didn't say anything no one would have fixed it. After asking about when the trim would be fixed so it could all be one color, i received no response from the two head people and then randomly just a crew (well one man and his very young son) showed up early on a Saturday morning with no forewarning from the company. Would have been nice to know so we could arrange and had a heads up. siding had to be taken down and put back up. I gave them two stars instead of one because in the end after multiple trips the siding looks fine and they discounted our quote for delays, but i would not recommend them. If i had to do another siding job i would use someone who is more reliable, Keeps their word, and has much better communication!!!

This is my second time working with Marc Schmauch and Arrow Roofing. Fast, detailed, and looks GREAT! I need fast service with no issues because of my work schedule and Marc accommodated.

this is the second time I've worked with Marc and Arrow on my house. very timely and professional both times. I would recommend them and will use them in the future as well.

Please avoid using this company. The sales rep that came to my house to evaluate the repair had no clue. He actually priced up the incorrect repair and I (the owner) found the actual roof leak after water was pouring into my house during a storm. I would have paid $1500 for a repair that was not needed. After finding the actual hole in my roof, he quoted some astronomical price of $3500 and said it would take 2 full days to complete. He also said the price included priority scheduling and that they would be out within 2 weeks. I ended up approving because roofing companies are busy with storm damage in Dayton (tornadoes). 4 weeks later I was on excuse number 12 as to why they weren't there. The dispatcher gave me the owner's "number" which was incorrect. Then the sales rep quit and as he quit gave me a different "owner's number". I called multiple times with no response. The dispatcher kept putting me off until finally scheduling me. Then it took them only 6 hours to repair, not 2 full days. Doing simple math (12 labor hours at $50/hr= $600 dollars). No more than $200 in shingles and two pieces of basic metal flashing. They had no more than $800.00 in the project that I had to pay in full $3500. I asked for a discount and the incompetent dispatcher said you agreed to the price, no discount. I said the price came with a timeline that I agreed to but you didn't meet. She apologized and said there was nothing she could do. I called the owner twice again with no response. Stay away from this company, they have no clue what they are doing and are taking advantage of people. There are too many good roofing companies out there to put up with this.

I love how this company only responds to good reviews. I guess they can't take criticism. There are some pretty bad reviews and word of mouth travels fast. This is how small companies go under.

Arrow Roofing was next door writing an estimate when I requested he inspect my roof. I had been told by other contractors, my 4 year old roof had serious issues potentially leading to leaks. Their project manager Sean Watson performed a courtesy inspection dispelling what all of the other contractors said. He assured me I was good for far greater than 10+ years of trouble free service on my roof. When I do have to replace my roof Arrow has earned my respect and confidence for my next roof. They work with all insurance companies making it fast and easy to ensure me I'm in good hands until my new roof has been properly installed by professionals!! After calling several companies for roofing estimates I settled on Arrow and Marc Schmauch. He was very organized, professional and patient in answering my questions. He worked with my insurance and the job went smoothly. The crew was only three but organized, efficient and tidy in their work and clean up. I highly recommend calling Marc. Working with Marc Shumach to replace our roof made an unexpected situation less stressful. Arrow roofing was professional, expediant,a reasonably priced. I would recommend using Marc and Arrow roofing to my friends and family.

Arrow and Marc Schmauch have been unbelievably helpful and detailed in their assistance. I was deployed and my siding got ripped off by a storm. They worked with me and got the majority of the ground work completed before I even returned home.

Marc is a veteran as well, and understands what it means to give back with unprecedented selfless service.

I referred my parents to them, and they’re having nothing less than a great experience as well. 10/10 would recommend.

Aaron from arrow came out to give me a free estimate on a gutter cleaning and some siding repair, he was awesome. He pointed out some places I wasn't too sure about and explained in depth what he was seeing and why it needed repaired. Aaron represented his company wonderfully and did an amazing job making me feel like he cared about doing what's right for my house and budget. I would recommend them to anyone!

On May 31 we had siding installed. We hired and paid Arrow. Arrow subbed the work out to other contractors. The company they used was MRV. The guys from MRV which I did not hire spoke little to no English and could have been undocumented for all I know. The siding work they did looks great overall. The problem I have is how they installed the mounting boxes for outdoor lighting. On all 3 of my mounting boxes they cut holes bigger than the junction boxes. Then they hung the lights up. You can see a gap between the light and the mounting box. One of my lights was a flood light. They broke the sensor on the light. I had to buy a new light with a bigger mount which cost me an additional $75.00. When I went to replace it they did not have the light fastened to the junction box. A strong wind would have knocked it off. Then they did not put a wire nut on one of the wires and left it bare. Now I still have to get 2 more lights with bigger bases. Who knows what I find when I do that. The worst part of them doing the job came while my family and I were eating dinner. One of them men came in the backyard to urinate. We have a patio door by our table. I know I did not want to see that. I really did not want my wife to see that. I definitely did not want my 3 daughters having to witness that. Moral of the story if you hire Arrow you might not be hiring Arrow. Also may cost you more out of pocket to fix their mistakes.

Would I ever recommend this company? That's a hard pass. I started out ordering new replacement windows, gutters, and a metal roof for my porch at the beginning of Oct '18. It is now June of 2019 and I'm still trying to get them to finish the metal roof job after one month of them "finishing" the job. Gutters came in around Jan, and windows in Feb-ish. There was ZERO communication from anyone at Arrow, the only time I would hear from someone is if I called them. Constant excuses about why things were being installed, being told multiple times materials were ordered only to find out they were not, wasted vacation days waiting for their installation crews to show up only to be a no-show (this - actually getting someone to commit to a time and actually show up is a major problem), and an over all lack of concern of about quality and customer service. Gutters were installed only to have water leaking behind them and down spouts emptying on the patio. Windows measure wrong and installed with gaps large enough to fit your hand through. Mind you, this is the middle of winter and they were going to leave them like that until they returned. I talked them into going to the hardware store for tape to temporarily seal them up. Nails, screws, broken glass left in the yard, flower bed, and driveway. Demolished sections of retaining walls left collapsed. Trash and urine in bottles left in my yard by install crews. Metal flashing on new roof dented and beaten up but is apparently considered "ok" by them (which I'm still waiting for them to correct a month later). All in all, just a complete lack of respect of my time and money. I do not recommend this company for any job at this rate. I had to find another company to do install new siding and more gutters since I could not in good conscience repeat this miserable experience.Trust me, I'm sure I'm omitting more problems but after 8+ months of dealing with them, I'm just tired of even thinking about it.

I just had my roof replaced by Arrow, and I can't say enough good about this company. Sean Watson provided in-depth knowledge of product, and did not propose unnecessary work. Following the project completion, I noticed two areas on my siding and eaves which were not reassembled correctly; within 30 minutes of sending the pictures to Sean, his production team lead was here, and the repairs were made. No joke.

Speaking of siding, I'll likely be getting that done, next year. Sean will be getting the call...

The whole process from start to finish went according to the plan laid out by the salesman Marc. We were given estimates for repairing the areas we had leaking around the chimney, but opted to go with a whole new roof. The existing one was about 20 years old and been through lots of country winds, hail, etc. The crew arrived on the scheduled day and worked almost non stop all day into the evening to get the job done. My wife and I are thrilled with the work done by Arrow Roofing.

Marc was fantastic and very quick to respond to our questions. They were there right away when we needed help. Marc came out promptly and used his expertise to take care of the problem and help us to know what to do next. Once insurance was taken care of Marc helped to get everything lined up to get a new roof on the house. They worked quickly and efficiently. They also cleaned up really well and didn't leave anything behind. We would highly recommend Marc and the team and we would definitely call them again if needed.

I am very fortunate to have found this company through the use of an online home advising site. If I could give a higher rating I would. Trenton is an amazing individual, hardworking, caring, compassionate, and patient. This company cares about their customers. My situation is quite unique in that I was coordinating the replacement of a roof, siding and patching/painting an interior space in my mother's house from 2K miles away. Trenton understood the logistics of my personal situation and he kept in communication as new issues arose. He went above and beyond, when many people would not. He coordinated the multifaceted job within his team and worked with the insurance agency to provide all the necessary documents throughout the process. Called on a Friday rep showed up for an estimate on Monday. Quick response and they always kept me informed of what was going on. Had a simple roof flashing that needed to be rebuilt and replaced. Crews was quick and efficient, and foreman was cool. Had a slight extra cost from the estimate, but it was expected.

Billing was fair and accurate. Paid 1/2 up front and then was billed the next day for the remaining 1/2 + slight extra cost.

I would recommend them for your roof repair and/or replacement.

Excellent pricing, fast service, and good communication. Marc was quick to quote and to respond to emails. Abner and crew did excellent work, were professional and did a good job cleaning up after. I had 7 different bids and Arrow was the third cheapest option. The cheapest 2 actually wanted to perform repairs or partial replacements but Arrow was the cheapest full replacement. I'm very happy with my decision.

This company offered a free roof inspection and cleaned my roof of leaves in the process! The November, 2018 ice storm broke a large branch off which landed on the roof. Arrow's rep, Brad, removed it and blew leaves off the roof as well. This level of customer care is not typical
anymore and I was quite surprised. If you are looking for estimates for ;any roofing project, I would certainly recommend putting Arrow on your list of prospects. They showed me they really care about their customers.

I was so impressed with the service I received from Arrow - specifically Hunter. We had a new roof put on our house, by another company, about 5 years ago and we had a leak. My husband called to see if someone from Arrow could take a look. Hunter came and told us that we really should contact the company that did our roof because we could still be under warranty with that company. He did go ahead and get on the roof to take a look. He took several pictures of issues he found. He was kind enough to share a few of the pictures with me to show the people who did our roof. That was a HUGE help. I just wish we had used Arrow to replace our roof five years ago.
We will be using Arrow in the future to replace a skylight!

Arrow just replaced our roof and I was SO HAPPY with their customer service and our new roof! We had a serious problem that honestly wasn't their fault during the installation but they immediately stepped up and took care of it. I have dealt with some direputable and/or huge national roofing companies before but Arrow Roofing earned my trust. Our project manager was Hunter Shields - highly recommend.

If I could give less than one star, I would. It took months for them to come out and do the job in the first place, and once they did, the job wasn't done correctly. I have made repeated calls to them about coming out and fixing it. They told me someone would be out over a month ago and now aren't returning my calls at all. I'm actually going to have to pay someone else to come out and fix their shoddy work.

I could not be happier with my experience with Arrow Roofing and Marc Schmauch. Not only did they deliver as promised, but went above and beyond to make sure everything was right. Marc was very responsive from the very beginning and was available for questions throughout the entire process. Hope I never need another roof, but if I do, I'm calling Marc at Arrow Roofing.

Arrow is fantastic! I am a Realtor in the area and they are my go-to roofing company in Columbus. They are honest, fair, and very responsive. They provide excellent customer service and the quality of workmanship and materials can not be beat!!

Sean Watson is the best salesman I've worked with. He made sure my house was fixed right and done quick. I've worked with other companies in the past and never experienced a more seamless process from beginning to end. Sean went above and beyond my expectations. Josh was great to deal with. He tried to give me the lowest rate he could. His crew crushed my old weak Gutter by accident with their ladder and he ordered an entire new 37 foot gutter to be installed free. An added plus for us. The work quality was great.

Tillman Adkins and I contacted 3 different roofing companies for estimates, the one that stood out the most after meeting with all three was Arrow, mainly due to Marc Schmauch, he came out, (even calling before he arrived) took the time to go up on the roof, took a look around and hand wrote an estimate that we could actually understand and ask questions about. Out of the other two estimates only one took the time to get on the roof, the other just walked around the yard (never getting on the roof), the other estimates were more like buying a car, they gave a quote, one gave three (good, better, best) but nothing you could actually ask questions about. They both offered and asked to be contacted to see if they could beat which ever companies price came in best. Replacing a roof can be an overwhelming experience, but not when you have someone like Marc leading the way, he was there from start to finish, the work appears to be superb they even replaced our gutters. We can not thank Arrow Roofing enough, mostly Marc Schmauch and the guys who put on the roof, plus the second guys who installed our gutters. Feel like we got our house back. We had our roof done by Arrow 2 weeks ago. The crew we had were done in 10 hours and it looks great. We had our gutters replaced. They came out when they said they would and they were very professional. They took out the old gutters that were not draining and replaced them with new gutters that look great and work like they are supposed to. I recommend this company to anyone looking to have some work done on your roof, gutters, or siding.

Josh and Brad (who happens to be my neighbor) were kind enough to take a look at our roof, which has developed a slow leak that worked its way into a closet. They found a small cut in a shingle which had allowed debris and water to accumulate and eventually enter the house. They sealed the leak and I'm hopeful that will have fixed the problem. Regardless, they did the roof examination and repair free of charge. Too boot, they blew accumulated debris out of both valleys. Great service and if I need roof repair in the future, Arrow gets my business.

Terrible customer service!
We called them for some roof repairs. The estimator came out, did a comprehensive inspection, took pictures,etc. They said we'd have an estimate in a few days. Two weeks later I called and they gave me an excuse why they hadn't called me back,but said they'd have a quote in a few days. Two more weeks passed and I called again. This time they said they'd get to it today. Another week has passed with no word, so I'm writing this review.

I requested a free quote for someone to clean the second story gutters on my house. Hunter Sheilds c and out, cleaned the gutter in question, and at my request evaluated to rest of the roof. Hunter was friendly, helpful, and offered reasonable suggestions for upkeep I could do to care for my existing roof, and offered to come out and work with an insurance adjuster for additional work. I will definitely be calling Hunter back for some additional work.

Brian from Arrow Roofing went out of his way to answer questions, bring shingle samples to our home for review, and ensured all the details were taken care of. His crew did a phenomenal job at completing our roofing project in 1 day. They were professional, courteous and cleaned up with no trace they had been there. Would definitely hire Brian and his team again.

We just had our roof replaced by Arrow Roofing in May 2018. We are very pleased with our new roof. My father-in-law used a different company and they were in and out of his house all day using the restroom. We had no problems with the crew that worked on our house. They were very professional. Thanks Arrow!!!!

I am really disappointed in the company which is very unfortunate. I hear them on the radio daily and that's why my parents chose them to do their siding. The job was supposed to be completed in October of 2017 but is still unfinished. They did not wrap one of the doors and both doors won't close properly. They damaged one of the window screens and it has not been replaced--it is now the end of May 2018. I have found places that are not caulked and am still finding screws and nails in the yard. I would not use Arrow again and my parents (having called multiple times) are still waiting. Just not worth recommending.

I wish I could give no stars! I have a small one and half story home with some stone. I contracted with Arrow for roofing gutters and siding. I was told it would take 3-4 days. We are on week 5, yes week 5, and they still are not done. They have run out of siding TWICE; they have installed siding with out the backer board that is included in the quote; workers don't show up until 10am if they show up at all; the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing- the workers are not given instructions that are on the contract; no one calls to say they are or are not working; they have left half inch gaps in the window wrap of which several are very crooked - extremely poor workman ship; my yard and my neighbors yards are full of scraps, Styrofoam and nails; they have trampled plants to death just for convenience (they are not in the path of travel or next to the house); they have left all of the old siding in my yard for weeks blocking access to my garage and covering entire landscape beds (they finally cleaned some up from 7:30pm to 10:00pm in the dark after days of begging the first time they ran out of siding); they left facia boards off of the house twice (once a squirrel got in and chewed its way out once they finally blocked it at 9:pm at night waking the neighbors kids from pounding nails ); they removed the electric and HVAC power from the house and then tell me they can't reattach it I have to get an electrician to do it; they lost my weather sensor. DO NOT hire this company unless you can manage the project yourself, be prepared to call them daily, lose access to your yard for the entire project, pick up nails and trash that they let blow around the neighborhood and can deal with the frustration of a week long project taking over 5 weeks and they still are not done!

Easy to work with, responsive, polite and professional. They worked hard to get us what we wanted in the timeframe we wanted. We got several quotes and felt that Arrow offered the best value, hands down. The roof looks great and there were no hidden costs or surprises. We would definitely go with arrow again and have zero reservations recommending them to others. Thanks Arrow!

Our house started showing some water spots on the ceiling so we contacted several roofers to come and inspect the roof to see what needed to be done. Josh came out to our house but there was some ice on the roof that day so he was unable to get on it to see what the issues were. We had already had some people who looked at our roof who told us that it just needed some repairs, not a new roof. When Josh found out that this was the situation, I could tell that he was less interested in the job. He rescheduled to come out early in the morning on another day to actually get on the roof to inspect it. He was supposed to be at our house this morning, I woke up earlier by far than normal to meet him and he never showed up or bothered to call. I think that many roofers want to only do new roofs and smaller repair jobs just don't interest them. Poor customer service though to just not show up!

Quick and easy! Gave them a call, they showed up a couple minutes early to the scheduled appointment to check things out, emailed a quote, I signed and returned the quote (fax or email), fixed my roof per the quote, took payment over the phone. Total time out of my schedule - 15 minutes.

I have regretted my experience with Arrow Roofing from day one. I was lied to by the rep when I questioned who would be installing the new roof. He assured me it would not be subcontractors, but employees of Arrow Roofing. Just one of the many untruths I was told before signing and paying. The morning of my roof install subcontractors showed up and only one of the three barely comprehended or spoke English. Arrow Roofing did not assure the job was completed appropriately and of course I now have an issue. They sent a guy out (two weeks after reporting what I believed to be a leak mind you) who confirmed the issue by showing me pics he took of the bathroom vent hoses which were not installed correctly and were lying flat on the attic floor. This caused condensation to build up in both of them and therefore water to come down through the ceiling. There was also a piece that prevents insulation from covering the ventilation which was not placed back correctly and caused additional moisture issues. I now appear to have mold growing in the corner of a bathroom. I was then told a guy named Apollo would be here this morning to correct the issue. He didn't show so I called and was reassured he would be here this afternoon. I informed the useless employee that does the scheduling that I have a 4:00pm appointment. She assured me he would be here before then. He did not show. When I called her back I was informed that he wasn't going to make it, was a subcontractor and she could not "hold his hand to make him show". I took PTO from work today and sat here all day waiting for him to show up and fix this issue caused by the subpar work from their subcontractors and lack of oversight by Arrow. I would not recommend them nor will I ever use them in the future.
