Kimo was very professional and did everything he said he would do. We got a bid for a new roof and he gave us all the details and documentation to inform us what we were getting. Within a week we had a new roof. All done while out of state. Our realtor says it looks great! I highly recommend Ampro Builders LLC if you are looking for a new roof.

I contracted with Ampro Builders back in 2020 to build a sunroom. 4 years later it is one of the best purchase/investment I have done. I am now selling my in Federal Way and will be doing another sunroom this year in my next home in Port Orchard. The process of doing a sunroom can be slow do to how custom they are, but well worth it. Make no mistake these are not cheap. The product that go into this type of build are of very good quality. Can't wait for my next one. The Ampro guys did a great job.

Overall Ampro built us a beautiful patio cover structure in our backyard and at a fair price. The process took much longer than expected and some of the delays probably could have been avoided. As part of our project we paid additional money to have Ampro handle the permitting process with our county and it took several months for them to first confirm the permit was truly required and then additional weeks to prepare the documentation required for the permit and submit all of the necessary documents. We were all 99.9% sure the permit would be required so I'm unsure why they didn't start preparing the documentation needed for the permit application while they worked to get a firm answer from the county, especially since we paid extra for this service. It was approximately 3 months from the time we gave our deposit until the permit was applied for and then another 2 months to receive the permit as some of the documents needed weren't submitted with the initial application packet. At that point we had to push repeatedly to get back on their construction schedule and get our project built. Start to finish it was 7 months from the time we paid our deposit until our project was completed.

During this process it was also never discussed with us that they would be required to open interior walls of our home in order to add additional studs/infrastructure for our project until the day that construction began. This information would have been much easier to process had it been brought up in the design phase.

Ampro will build you a solid and good product at a good price however communication could be improved as I had to personally follow up on too many occasions in order to keep my project progressing. I would still consider working with them on future projects and recommend them to others.

Best window contractor in the area! Amazing all around! These guys are pros, from consultation to the installation/clean up. Very reliable, it took less than 3 weeks for my windows to arrive and the install took one day for three big windows. Kimo, one of the reps, kept me updated of the delivery. He had me informed of the days and times they were going to show up. He even checks up with you after the installation to ensure satisfaction. Kimo is the man! They also partner up with reliable contractors with excellent craftsmanship. I am so excited about my new windows. I can clearly tell the difference, I’m going to save so much money on heat and sound proof all around, I don’t hear the train anymore. I am so happy and very impressed with Ampro Builders. I highly recommend them 100%

AMPRO Builders LLC. has a total disregard for the customer and very shoddy work. I had hired them initially for roofing and it took the owner a full year to address and fix the fact that his employees put my skylights on backwards when they reroofed my home. I had to write a POOR review for the owner Robert Chatham to even pay attention to my calls to his rep. which went unanswered for the entire time . I had the siding of the home also replaced during this period by the same AmPro and they job was performed while I was at work (They put hardy plank on without it even being sealed). I came home and found that when the siding was replaced, it was replaced so that there is a gap that needs to be fixed as this will allow the elements and mold to start on the inside of the siding. When They skylights were fixed I was told that AmPro would take care of the siding replacement failure . The failure was found by the painter when he saw the large gap at the bottom of wall where it should snug up to the cedar lap, but the builder put the siding on top of the first plank leaving a large gap opening on lower side at front end of my home. Robert Chatham showed up at my home and actually saw the shoddy work on the south side and front corner of my home and said he was the boss and would have it fixed. Then I heard nothing. I called Robert Chatham (Owner) and asked when the siding would be corrected as the winter (last year) was coming and he said he would do it when the weather wasbetter and dry. This was last year (2023) the roof was put on a year before that and when they finally fixed the botched skylights and put them in correctly they had to scrape them as they had moss growing on them. WELL It's been DRY for a long time this summer and The Guy has answered one call and sent me to Voice mail after that without a return call or time frame to fix AmPro's botched siding repair. Super satisfied with the window install done by Ampro Builders. There wasn’t a long wait time like other companies quoted me. Kimo was transparent and easy to reach when I had questions. When I was comparing prices, he was always professional and kept his prices really competitive. One window was ordered incorrectly, but Kimo rectified that pretty quickly. Best of all, he even helped me battle evil! 10/10 would recommend!

Don't let Rob or Leo deceive you! I had my roof done last year in February, and it is guaranteed for 50 years. Leo came in with charm, and swindled a deal out of me to do my roof and detached garage. Key word here: Swindles. Tells me, we will be here any time you need us. I spoke to the owner, Rob as well and he invited me out to dinner? Never met the man, he was just schmoozing to get my $$$'s. Said he would show up at my home to see the job. Never did. Hander the lead and his crew did a great job; however once the work is done, try to get them back, not so much! They painted my stacks without asking first, the paint peeled off. I ran into a neighbor at Costco and she wanted to know who did my roof, I told her and gave her their number. I called Leo Redford, and said, "I will hand you a job, if you buy me a gift certificate to Olive Garden for $30 bucks." He said, "how about $50?" I said, "No $30 is fine." He said he would get it to me. Well, he had the opportunity to do so, when my neighbor hired them to do her roof. Nope. Every now and again, I would text him...he said, "I haven't forgotten!" Over and over I text him. Now I want the spray paint for my stacks they painted with a substandard product. Leo, said "I will get it there when my schedule permits." I called B.S. on that. Waited, no paint. So I called the office, and left a message for the owner, Rob. Rob text me back from Yakima, for well over an hour, and said your paint is in your mailbox and sent a picture of one of my neighbors IN THEIR OWN YARD, and accused him of looking in my mailbox after he was driving away. Then they tried to say, that he put a $50 dollar gift certificate in my box, and it was stolen, probably by the same guy! Number one, why would you take a picture of someone in their own yard? Number two, if you don't have proof that their was theft, why would you accuse them? The paint was still in my box! The last tex I received was from Rob/Owner, saying he would take care of me and send me the Gift Certificate. That was last Sat/Sun. and I have informed mail, so they haven't mailed a damned thing. I would hate to know, if I had a huge problem what would happen. Do yourselves a favor, go to another company. Read Yelp Reviews. These guys make big bucks, but took forever to get me a can of stove paint spray, and still have not coughed up the gift certificate promised. What does that tell you. Two thumbs down!

It appears that I cannot reply to Rob Chatham's response to their lack of follow through. I see another fella asked for a quote, and he has been waiting. Hmmmmm. Rob, those stacks were 6 months old. Don't make up stories that you know nothing about. The wind and rain took out my sandstone chimney earlier in the year, so I had a company replace them with metal stacks! You and Leo make up stuff as you go. Add conspirators to the list. Yeesh. And yes, as I stated before: Hander and his crew were the best! It is not the craftsmanship I am peeved about, it is your follow through. You should know that you have to spend a nickel to make a dime. Do it timely and you wouldn't receive a review like this, or the others on Yelp! I will be waiting for that certificate, that will never arrive. BTW my neighbor's brother (who owns the house that you, LEO, accused his brother of stealing and looking in my mailbox) is really angry that you blamed him. Quit making up stories and be done with it. BTW, if Leo or some other lackey comes to give me a certificate...bring it to my door. It is a federal crime to open up a mailbox that isn't yours! My husband and I just had a new roof and a large front window installed by Ampro and we are very glad we did!

Leo is wonderful and easy to work with, even if you are not an easy customer! He was beyond gracious with all of our questions and concerns. He will get you what you need and won't sell you what you don't. Leo is involved through the whole process, and he is excellent through it all.

Roger and his team did the roof, and they were phenomenal. I wonder at how they can do what they do every day. They worked so fast, and yet they paid attention to so many little details that make the finished roof beautiful.

They also took care of our property. Roger checked to make sure we moved things away from our house, and when the crew left, the yard looked better than when they arrived. They made getting a new roof the best experience it could be!

The next step was the front window and Nestor and his team did a fantastic job. I was once again surprised at how much the pros can do in so little time. And wow! I knew our old window was old, leaky, and unattractive, but it was those first two I was worried about. Now that the new one is installed though, I can't believe what a difference it makes. It looks so good!

This is a business where the owner, Rob, is much a part of it, too. I spoke with him on the phone and he kindly answered questions for me. I was surprised he was the one who answered my call, but he made it one more good experience with Ampro.

It was thanks to an online recommendation that we did, and so I wanted to write this review as not only a thank you for their work, but a way to hopefully help the next person with house worries. Had my entire house re-sided a few years back, but the remnants of poor work are a constant reminder, so I thought I'd finally warn others. Stay away at all costs.

They subbed the job out to someone who clearly didn't know what he was doing. I was told the job would take 2-3 weeks but it took over 2 months. The siding was left in the mud in the winter and was never washed off. More irritating is that there's very visible caulk patches all over the place. Leo said he'd have their sub come wash it off but never did, just disappeared like many other reviewers are mentioning. I also found out after the job that they'd broken one of my third-floor windows and duct taped over it, but I hadn't noticed immediately since it was behind some clothes in a mostly-unused closet. Didn't even bother to reach out to them about it since they handled everything else poorly and it was a single-pane window needing replacement anyway.

Bottom line is that they hired a subcontractor that let them down, then wanted to get through the rough job and forget it rather than taking care of things the right way.

Ampro did an excellent job, they were on time, completed the work quickly and efficiently. Leo was informative and stayed in communication through the entire process. I am very happy I went with this roofing company and I highly recommend them.

I was very impressed by the professionalism, timeliness in answering questions and getting the job done. From the first meeting with Leo Redford to the final inspection and every interaction in between, my husband and I felt completely taken care of. Leo and his roofing crew were professional, polite and left a very clean work site every day. Leo was very professional and personable from the moment we met thru the estimating process, the work, and closing out the project with an inspection. He was involved from the beginning to the end of the project. I was very comfortable with the process and everyone involved! All of that and the cost of the roof replacement was reasonable considering the range of estimates we received. I did not feel like any corners were cut, all material and methods used were high end for a reasonable cost.

Met with Leo and he put me at ease with everything on a new roof. Got a couple other quotes and AmPro was right there with superior product, service and warranty. If you need a new roof, make sure you give them a call!

They did a thorough and high-quality job on our house and shop roofs, finishing in one day. The crew members were skilled and worked well together. Cleanup was thorough and the roofs look great!

The roof install seemed typical, except that they used large staples to hold plastic sheeting to our house which left small holes everywhere in our painted cedar siding and also left staples on our driveway. Our biggest complaint is that they wrote up a job Scope and Specifications which included our house and detached 1 car garage. The scope services included "***Install 5K style gutters and downspouts for promotion color:white***W/garage". However when they installed the gutters they did not install gutters on the garage, when I called the salesman the same day, he said the quote did not include the garage (it clearly did on the written scope). I tried to follow up and he would not return my calls. They are the type of company that is incredibly responsive and helpful UNTIL they get their check, then you will never hear from them again. Makes me nervous as far as warranty and their overall integrity as a company. I am a homeowner that gets a roof once every 20 years, they do 20 roofing jobs per month, why is there any question as to whether they are installing the gutters on the garage also when their job description included roof and gutters on main house and roof and gutters on the garage. I can not recommend any company that does not follow through or follow up and makes excuses instead of making things right.

There are not words to express how pleased we are with AMPRO Builders of Tacoma. From our initial meeting with Leo to the finished roof. Everything was done professionally, on time and to our satisfaction. The crew arrived at 8:20 am and began their work. No lag time. Every worker had his job and went about it efficiently. Polite and courteous as well. We chose a more expensive shingle but Leo's basic bid was comparable to 4 other companies we contacted. We even received a military discount. The new roof on our 2000 sf house with a two car attached job, replacing 4 skylights and installing gutter covers were completed in 10 hours. And looks beautiful. It was a great experience in every way but especially seeing these young men so diligent in completing their jobs. If we need any further work done we will not hesitate to contact Ampro Builders in Tacoma.

I went with Ampro to replace our roof, which is big (over 55 squares) and challenging. Ampro removed the old roof, replaced the sheathing in several spots and installed the new roof in 2 days. I was very impressed with the installation and how hard and efficient the crew worked to complete the roof. Their professionalism and friendly demeanor was very refreshing. They finished the roof with no surprises in costs and cleaned the entire area around the house. I am so happy I chose Ampro because Leo and his crew were great to work with. The team that did the work was good. My problem is with Leo and the owner. You made a bid and put it on paper. I never heard you say anything about a discount and it's not on the paper work. Your ad on the web says nothing about paying full price to get a free TV. you made good money from us. Plus you said it would be a 6 person team out here and there was only 5. We asked about you putting on a gutter over the back door and you said you would take care of it. You did not!!!. I feel like we got ripped off!!!! NOT HAPPY!!!!! If I could stop payment on check I would. You probably took it to the bank already. Ted is not my brother he's my husband. I was part of it . Ted did remove the wood over the door. The only thing your workers took off was are dish satelite that I asked them to do. Who you hire is your business doesn't change who they are inside.

I compared many products and companies to replace the roof. I chose to use Ampro builders to replace my roof. They had the best looking product for the best price. They maintained a clean job site and we’re very quick, but safe did an excellent job!. The sales and financing team were very friendly and helpful. We took our time and got many estimates for our Queen Anne Victorian home, garage and cottage. Not your ordinary style of roofing project. This experience was amazing. Came to the house for assessment. Kept Covid-19 in mind by wearing masks and keeping a safe distance apart. Considering the current state, they proposed to do an online presentation utilizing zoom, rather than the normal sit down face-to-face. The presentation was very professional and informative. The financing options were also very easy to understand. I chose to accept their bid within 24 hours, regardless of price. About a week and a half later as promised, the supplies were dropped off. The next day, the team showed up on-time. Throughout the day, I couldn't believe how fast they were working. The entire 7 person crew were very experienced indeed. They finished my entire roof in 8 hours. Cleanliness was also very important to them. They left my house just as clean as it was when they arrived. This has to be one of the top 3 customer service experiences I have had in 30 years. Leo and his team did everything they said they would, on-time and with tremendous quality! Our roof was in really bad shape and leaking water in areas of our home. I contacted two other roofing companies for estimates and then I contacted Ampro Builders Roofing for an estimate. A man named Leo came out and after Leo checked out our entire roof, he let my father and I know what needed to be done. My father and I noticed that Leo was highly educated/knowledgeable on what needed to be done to perfection. Leo was very pleasant and a really friendly man so we hired him to get our roof replaced. Leo's crew of roofers came out and got to work on it "ON TIME" as stated by Leo when they would be here and every day after until the job was done.

They had a lot of work to get done because of how bad off our roof was. They were very hard workers and did an excellent job. My father and I were super pleased with their workmanship on top of how well they cleaned up after they were done with the job. The roofing crew never once short cut anything at all when doing the job. I know because I would go outside and check out what they were doing throughout the entire process while they were working on replacing every inch of the roof.

They did a great job on our new roof to perfection. These guys are good at what they do. They are very experienced roofers. To be honest, words alone won't say how pleased and happy my father and I were from start to finish. We are more than please with everything. I have never heard of nor seen a 20 star rating and I am going to create one now and give them all at Ampro Builders Roofing my own 20 star rating. Ampro is the best company I've dealt with in recent years. They are very responsive, owner put my request thru to his roofing manager immediately. Leo scheduled my work within 3 days and one of those days was Thanksgiving. He pretty much knew my skylights issue before he arrived, his experience is a plus. He discussed options and thoroughly answered my questions. The materials were delivered on Thanksgiving Day and Roger arrived Friday morning ready to install. He was very efficient and respectful, took great care with the inside work. Don't hesitate, hire now. You won't be disappointed!

Purchased new roof and windows and just finished. Makes a huge difference. I love the new look. Ampro handled all paperwork and permits needed in Lakewood. I highly recommend them. I love my roof and triple pane windows.

Saw the roof Ampro Builders put on a friends home and asked for their number. (My husband and I used to do some roofing in our younger days, so we know quality when we see it). Called Ampro, and a half a dozen other companies. Three showed up...only Leo from Ampro showed up when he said he would. Leo listened and gave a us an estimate...we chose Ampro based on Leo's quote and on Leo's courtesy. We could not have made a better choice because a couple of days later I was having regrets...not certain I would be happy with the color we had chosen for the roof. We left Leo a message and Leo was absolutely amazing! He immediately brought us 5 roofing samples and left them for us. I then messaged him asking for some help choosing the color and to request pictures of other homes roofed in the colors we were considering, Leo was so accommodating it was just amazing. It took us about a week to settle on the color. Ampro came out and swooped in on our roof and WOW! What a team...quick, efficient, polite and leave your place spotless! Plan to use them again! Cannot even imagine some of the comments in the prior ratings as these guys are stellar!

This team went above and beyond to support us with our much needed roof replacement needs. Not only did they completely redo our roofing, they also capped our weathered fascia and fortified our roof that was not built correctly when the home was originally constructed. Leo, Project Manager, was onsite periodically before, during, and after the project. A thorough quality assurance check was conducted before payment was even asked for. They even provide a 50 year warranty on their work. I have not met another company that stands by their work and customer like this. Outstanding service provider! I will be leaning on them to help with other home projects I have in the near future. I highly recommend this company.

We had an excellent experience with Ampro. We hired them to re-paint and replace the roof on our 1910 craftsman. We decided to go with Ampro after receiving three bids on the roofing project (all three bids came in at roughly the same price) because Ampro could complete both projects consecutively and because we were impressed with the professionalism of Leo Redford. Leo oversaw the entire project from beginning to end and was at our house checking in several times a day. If we texted a question or concern he got back to us immediately, even on a Sunday. Both crews were efficient, hardworking, and took real pride in their work. They showed up when they said they would and did a great job. Our house looks amazing and we couldn't be happier. They did not keep promises made. I will be contacting manufacturer about bubbles on my flat roof . I will be posting pictures soon.

After the tech came to look at my flat roof with the bubbles he should have called me with the results.
Leo and I shook hands on the deal. He should have told me when we spoke about doing the work. I called him every 2-3 weeks. He said it would happen many times. I was promised it would happen before the rain came. He kept telling me he would work me into the schedule. If he would have told me right away that you can't do it. I would not have waited.

Great job building my patio cover. They took care of all the details from the original design, county permits and final construction.

Very prompt and clearly understood my needs of remodeling. I got their first estimate very well detailed. We will likely go with them after comparison shopping.

I had 8 roofing companies come give me bids on my roof. The last one was AMPRO BUILDERS. Leo the sales rep took his time explaining everything in detail. The others did not even offer what Leo offered. Leo explained about the roof with the air circulation opening on top of the roof, not only does it look good it made sense having that done.
Even though the other roofers charged less I went with AMPRO builders due to the fact he spent his time going over my options. The others acted more like here’s your bid and left some took several days to email it, one had to call me back that had no clue. When the job was over they cleaned up around the house better then it was from the start. They placed a dumster in my drive way and placed the old roofing inside. It only took two days to complete the job, a couple of the other companies said it could take three to four days. One wasn’t really sure at all. Other companies had pick up trucks or a larger truck to haul it way with. Leo is a awesome person to talk to. I would highly recommend them for your roofing job. I am totally satisfied.

I recommend Ampro Builders without any reservation. Leo, our point contact, was nothing short of exceptional when it came to service and communication. My family had to replace our entire roof Q4 of 2018 - we chose Ampro for the job. For those who are currently vetting roof contractors - we have very little time of day yet there are so many contractors to choose from; many, if not most, contractors have similar qualities and perhaps little variation in pricing. With the limited knowledge we have in roofing, customers are left to select a contractor based on trusted and reliable sources (i.e., friends, family, online reviews, etc...). In short, we like to instinctively trust a "brand". Customers make purchase decisions based on the reputation of a brand. Ampro Builders is a quality brand in this line of work for the following reasons:

1/ Service - We had lots of questions because we are a novice in the field of roofing. Leo was not only kind enough to thoroughly answers all of our questions, but also helped us understand the intent behind Ampro's policies. From the bidding process to follow ups after the job was completed, Leo was consistently providing top of the line service - he kept his word.

2/ Communication - Being able to communicate with Leo was key. He was available via text, phone, and email. He was transparent in his correspondance with my family and constantly made sure the job was getting done. I have no doubt that he will be available in the future as well.

3/ Problem Solving - Unforeseen circumstances are inevitable. How they are dealt with reflects the true color of a company and Ampro is a brand that customers can trust. Leo showed vested interest in our problems and provided solutions.

I hope that this review can assist future customers in selecting his or her contractor.

The rep came out and tried to sell me on what they (the company) wanted to do. No interest of my needs and priorities. Very typical of most of these roofing places. Even so, as I'm already used to this treatment, I still asked for a quote just to compare and see if it makes sense to continue the conversation. No quote ever provided. Glad I didn't continue.

Update - the response below is a perfect example of a culture of not listening. I complain about never receiving a quote after Leo's visit, and you're talking about your principles.

Quality company from start to finish! They did everything they promised. I even got to meet the owner! Their attention to detail and communication makes these guys my go to company for my home improvement projects. I would definitely recommend them to all my friends and family. Thanks ampro!

Never showed up for our first appointment. He had bad communication and never called us to tell us he wasn’t coming. We made another appointment for Monday and I went to take out my recycling as he said he would call before he showed up and he never called so five minutes past our appointment I was back inside and saw his truck drive off. I called him back to explain that I though he was going to call and he said “no we only come for the appointment time” so I asked him to just come back since he had JUST driven away but he explained he had already called his next appointment and said he was coming. Why did I not get a call??! Unprofessional, unreliable and would not recommend this company. They definitely do not act like they need the business.

This is a class A company. The owner is as smart as they come and the entire team is friendly and dedicated to customer satisfaction.

Don't hire some BS contractor who will tell you everything you want to hear and then fail to deliver. Construction is difficult and expensive. I'd rather have someone be realistic with me about the costs and timeline than lie to me just to get the deal.

Don't waste your time and money elsewhere. You will get a fair price and GREAT work here.

We just completed a complete roofing replacement with Ampro and we are very satisfied with the result. The roof looks great and we are confident that it was installed correctly. We included three solar tubes in the installation which are a great addition to our house. The workers were very professional and friendly. They cleaned the job site perfectly. I contracted Ampro builders to repair some damage from a woodpecker. They did an excellent repair job and both repaired and repainted the damaged siding. Without prior knowledge of where the damage was located, you would never know that section of siding had been replaced. I would definitely contract with them on future projects.

First, Leo at Ampro was an amazingly responsive company rep. He returned calls (and texts) promptly and went out of his way to accommodate my schedule for the bid, and the actual job. He didn't over or undersell the system components, but instead helped me select the right system for my house, my neighborhood, and my budget. The crew were very hard working, technically proficient and fast. The one question I had about merhods was quickly resolved by a text to Leo, his prompt call to me then to the crew lead to ensure mutual understanding and customer satisfaction. My new roof looka great. Also, this was a no b.s. bid, considerably lower than the initial bids from 2 other contractors. Overall an excellent experience.

Project: Install or Replace an Asphalt Shingle Roof

The project was seamless and pain free. Sales rep/project mngr explained all the steps of the installation and was always available if I had questions. Work done is high quality and the clean up superb. It was like nothing had happened in my yard. I highly recommend for those needing a new roof.
