I am a licensed architect with over 40 years of professional experience. I'm extremely particular when hiring a roofing contractor to do work at my house. My home is circa 1928, quickly approaching 100 years old. It was designed with built-in Yankee gutters and it has a clay tile Ludowicki roofing system. The recent roofing project required a specialized roofing contractor. I did my research and located American Son's Professional roofing contractors, who understood the project and they had the required skills to perform the work on my Dutch Colonial historic home. Sammy, the owner of American Son's Professional is a rare roofing contractor/owner, who is a person of his word. I got Sammy's contact information from a friend when I needed a Chimney liner put in, and eventually used him for replacing my entire roof. He's a very professional craftsman who takes pride in his work and is not obsessed with getting the job as quickly as humanly possible regardless of quality so he can move onto the next customer. Wow! Sammy and his crew not only met my expectations, but exceeded them with both their craftsmanship and their positive attitudes. I found Sammy through searching for siding replacement contractors on google. Not an easy task.

The estimate and quote process was easy, except Sammy is adamant that everything is done in person at the comfort of your home so that he can help clarify design and style questions. He told me it would take 12 days to do the siding alone. Well, not only did it take less time but he was able to refinish the upstairs hardwood floors and replace the roof within the same week. A homeowners dream.

They make a mess, a massive mess during demolition. However, they clean it immediately and ensure nails are picked up around the house and surrounding. Lastly, any problems during or after the process, they will show up and make sure everything is properly touched up.

Not to mention pricing. I was able to turn my home’s aged curb appearance to a modern curb appeal making even my neighbors happy.

First off, Sammy was very quick in his response to my initial inquiry. He came to my house immediately to check out the issue; leak coming into my roof via the chimney.

He looked at the situation and told me what he thought the solution was while educating me on why. I received a quote on the spot, and it was very competitive based on the type of solution and price.

After I agreed he was able to start the job within 2 business days, and gave me good deals fixing several other loose ends on my roof, such as addressing the unpitched gutters and relaying new shingles on a portion of my roof that was in dire need of help. Lastly, my chimney crowns were non standard and he went out of his way to get a custom multi flue chimney cap made to make sure the crowns were covered, which they were not previously.

The result? A happy chimney with no more leaks. Ultimately I was very happy with the service. Sammy did quality work and was honest with me all along the way. Would definitely recommend.

I have an older home and have had water leaking through the attic for years, and a fireplace that produces too much smoke, even after using 3 contractors and installing a new roof and flashing, so it was refreshing to find American Sons, who gave me a very honest assessment of what was needed to make my fireplace work and stop the chimney leaks. The owner was on the job until it was finished. I also thought the price was fair. Sammy rebuilt the chimney, raised the height, and cleaned my chimney, patched the interior cracks, replaced a portion of the flue, and assured me that I didn't need a liner, something another contractor said I needed. American Sons Professionals are exactly as the name says: professionals in every way from start to finish. When I met with the owner of the company initially he not only gave me a very competitive price, but explained exactly what he was going to do. When there were changes- extreme weather, improper framing, etc he called me, sent pictures and clearly explained what needed to be done. I am so glad that I chose American Sons Professional to do my project - demolishing an unrepairable leaking chimney, installing a section of new siding, repairing leaking part of roof and inspecting the other chimney. I used American Sons Professionals Roofing & Chimney for a roof and gutter repair. They were professional every step of the way including updates, responsiveness to inquiries, quality and standards of there product and service and more. What I particularly liked was that I was given an update daily so I knew where the project stood and what to expect in the coming days. ASP has done extensive work for me over the course of 3 consecutive summers. They have done excellent work on multiple repair/installation projects. Skilled professionals who are thoroughly reliable and responsive; and easy to work with. Brief summary of work performed includes: 1) remove existing, leaking roof (pressboard sub-surface) and replace with plywood, new Tyvek and new shingles; 2) remove leaking stucco surface on 2 chimneys and rotted pressboard beneath, re-surface with new stucco (perfect texturized match with rest of stucco) and paint and install new chase covers; 3) remove entire stamped concrete driveway, front steps, and front/rear walkways ... then put down new driveway and pathways with paving blocks and rebuild front and rear steps.
