I recently used American Remodeling Corp to complete a Hardie Board installation on my home. From the initial appointment and onward, Trevor was friendly, knowledgeable and was readily available to field all questions and concerns. He and Tim made sure the project went smoothly and HOA parameters were met. I can’t say enough about the foreman and his crew, flawless work and very respectful of the property.

We had an overall great experience with American Remodeling Corp. They removed a falling apart staircase and old deck on either side of an existing screened in porch and replaced them with a beautiful composite deck. They gave the porch a facelift with new screens, fascia, and storm doors. They also turned a window into sliders to the new deck. This required masonry, hvac, and electric work. In addition, we also got new gutters on this side of the house. Everyone we worked with at American Remodeling Corp was extremely professional and courteous. There were some miscommunications at times but they were quickly resolved. Everything was finished to our satisfaction. Probably the most important part of this review...we would definitely use them again!

The sales, inspection and construction teams were excellent. Once approved, I had a new roof completed on a 4k square foot in two days. Clean up, billing and follow-up were very thorough and professional - the roof looks great. Very satisfied.

Over the last 1.5 years, we have used American Remodel to replace 1 French door, 7 windows, install new tile floor in a bathroom, and now they’ve gutted and are renovating our entire (1980s) kitchen. It’s now been almost 2 years since we initially had them come out for an estimate on the new door and we haven’t hired anyone else to do projects around our house since.
We’ve worked closely with Robb and Ernesto. They’re both very friendly, communicative and trustworthy. The timing of some of these projects can be longer than we may anticipate due to supply issues/special orders, etc. Robb has been great about keeping us in the loop and responding to messages or phone calls.
We highly recommend American Remodel and already know we will be hiring in them again in the future.

I called American Remodeling Corp in December 2024. I had a roof leak in two areas of my home. Jim Stern came out and gave me an estimate saying he would have the written estimate in a few days. I was going to have this company do the repairs. He reassured me that he could help me. I never heard back from him. I left emails and telephone messages still with no results. I am very disappointed and don't appreciate being treated this way. I was treated terribly and I feel like it's a shame that I had to go through this.

Working with American Remodeling was easy and efficient. Richard came out and personally worked with me on the quote to restructure the framing of my deck, getting it back into code. They were even able to get the team out a week earlier than anticipated to get the job done faster. Everyone from Richard, to the work-team, and the quality control review were easy to work with and made the whole experience convenient. The new deck support framing looks great and I feel more comfortable now knowing that American Remodeling Corp worked to get it up to code and safely upgraded.

UPDATE. An effect of this work I never expected - emotional. When I pull in to park I don’t feel sad. I hated the townhouse looks and didn’t realize how much it affected me emotionally. When I pull in now it’s uplifting. I smile and am so thankful I listened to Dave and Cindy’s recommendations. I love what American Remodeling did. In a few weeks we are getting back deck. If you are like us you know you could do it yourself. But, you can’t do it as well as professionals. It’s so worth it. Their recommendations alone kept me from making a horrible mistake.

American Remodeling is great to work with. They go above and beyond expectations. We have had many things done to the house: roof, siding, windows, doors, painting, repairs, lighting and more.

American Remodeling Corp was a God send! I had used them about 17 years ago to replace siding on an old house of mine and called them again for this new project. I had also received a different quote from another company for all new siding, trim, gutters, soffit and shutters - but after speaking to Dave at American, he helped me see that in the fine print, only the siding was going to be replaced! After Dave's quote, that included all of what I "thought" I was getting with the other company, he still came in at a better price! After that, I even added in the job to rip out 380+ linear feet of fence and replace it with new fence - and again the quote was less than the others I had received! As both jobs were in progress, I couldn't help but notice all the care and detail that was taken to make sure the siding and fencing was absolutely perfect! And each wooden fence picket had to be hand cut and installed as my yard terrain is very uneven! Just so very pleased with American and will never use anyone else again! Thanks American!

We used American Remodeling Corp to replace all of our windows and install a new front door. We are very happy with the results. Their customer service was also outstanding and Rob was there to answer our questions every step of the way. We got four quotes and they came in $6000 less than that next cheapest company. But that didn't show in the quality of work and attention to detail. We would definitely recommend.

I hired them to complete work on the exterior of the house. The first time around, it did not come out at all what was discussed and agreed on. Had to come back a total of three times to get the work done decently. Not worth the price I paid at all. Very disappointed on how the whole project was handled with poor communication between workers and needing multiple visits to get the project done. Will not be using them again.

Finally decided to replace our roof & gutters after almost 26 years. After interviewing several contractors we chose ARC. We are fairly demanding customers when it comes to home improvement contracts. Richard was very attentive to my concerns and requests, answered all of my questions, provided additional information i was not even expecting, gave me a precise time-line and went through all of the logistics in great detail from the delivery of materials to the final cleanup. When the day to work finally came their timeline was impeccable…just the right number of men to complete the job from sunrise to sunset (very large roof) all led by a foreman with 30+ years of experience who was more meticulous than even me ( which is impressive). Cleanup was immaculate, driveway was swept with a nail magnet (trust me… I searched and didn’t find even one) and I was kept appraised of the entire process all day long.
In the end I am very happy we went with ARC and would absolutely recommend them to anyone else looking to get a quality product from an extremely talented & professional crew that does almost exclusively roofs (assuming that’s important to you) look no further. A little more expensive than the advertisers you hear on the radio & TV but well worth it.

I had a great deal of anxiety when my home developed a water leak. I had a handyman by several times and he couldn't fix the leak. I have never really had a good experience with a contractor before and I needed repairs to both the exterior and interior to stop the water infiltration and repair the damage indoors. The first contractor to come out said they didn't do exterior work. The thought of coordinating with two contractors and what would happen if the repairs outside didn't stop the water causing any interior repairs to be damaged yet again was driving me batty. American Remodeling Corp proved all my worries to be unwarranted. They quickly fixed the exterior, waited for a good blowing rainstorm to verify the repairs were successful and did a beautiful job on the inside as if it never happened. We've had several blowing rainstorms since and I've had no more leaks. I found them through USAA, so I suspected they had to be good. USAA is particular about who they recommend. But American Remodeling Corp still surpassed my expectations. I highly recommend them to anyone for a worry free experience and high quality work.

I can’t speak more highly about a company than I can for American Remodeling Corp. They did a repair on a roof for me. They were professional, did it in a timely manner (I was selling my house and under a deadline, and did it well before the deadline), and they lessen all anxiety that I had over the repair. The universe brought me the right company at the right time! In American Remodling Corp I trust and will use again!

We had contacted a few different companies to schedule an inspection for our roof repair/replacement. Many of the companies didn't want to deal with the solar panels or didn't want to wait.

Trevor kept in touch with us via text and was not overbearing until we were able to get the solar company to handle their part of the work. Once the panels were off, Trevor and Tim came out and did a full inspection interior and exterior and provided us with a fair estimate for the amount of work necessary.

We were so happy with the ease of scheduling, and quality of work that we booked American Remodeling Corp to complete additional work in our basement! I can't say enough about these guys. Communication is 5 stars, Professionalism is 5 stars, and Quality of work is 5 stars!

Richard and his crew did a great job on our renovation. The quality of the work and the attention to detail were both outstanding.

First time homeowner woes. We had some BAD interior damage after heavy rains and snow from our roof deck. We'd worked with another company previously who was convinced they'd fixed our problems, but my boss recommended American Remodeling Corp when it returned even worse. I sent an email through their general inbox, Cindy reached out almost immediately, David came by soon after, and we were in business FAST. Nothing was pressured, David didn't pretend to know the answer right away, and he monitored the damage after rain before he gave us the quote. Every line item of work was in writing, every question was answered, every cost explained and detailed, I never had to guess what was going to happen or when. They removed our old roof deck, gave us a new roof, and patched up our 3rd floor balcony where the stairs had been. They did all this on a 3 story row home in Baltimore with a tiny back alley seamlessly. Their crews were so quick and great. They even helped us all the way through our insurance claim for the interior damage (thanks Tim and Jim!) , and they're now working on our drywall/paint (thanks Mark!) and soon our floors. The first major rain after they fixed our roof was joyful and dry inside.

I truly can't believe the low levels of stress we've experienced throughout all of this major work and I have recommended them to other coworkers in the area. If you're stressing about finding somebody to do the work on your home, pause here and reach out to them.

5/01: I wanted to share an update to my previous review. After all the walls, paint, and ceilings from the water damage were addressed, another team from American Remodeling Corp came to do our entire 2nd and 3rd story flooring. On the first day, the teams paused because they were worried that so much of our wood had imperfections. I explained to the project manager Mark that we intended and wanted the floors to have some inconsistency and look aged, and knots and some worm holes were welcomed. He communicated that to the teams, and they did an amazing job of ensuring that the floors came out balanced and beautiful with just the right amount of character. They had everything done in 2.5 days for a lot of square feet. I will absolutely use their services when we're ready to redo our 1st floor.

The whole experience from start to finish was fantastic. Richard got me on the schedule quickly and the crew got the job done. I highly recommend American Remodeling and we will definitely use them again.

I have used ARC for so many projects. It started with my roof. Then my windows. Then when my neighbor’s tree fell and poked holes in my siding, they replaced that as well. (And handled all the work with the insurance company). When I started inside projects, I knew exactly who to contact! I did not bother to shop around - they give me great prices, great service, are dependable and responsive. So a few years ago they did my master bathroom. Then my half bathroom, and last fall it was my kitchen! I got the kitchen of my dreams. I love it! A few weeks ago they moved my laundry from the basement to the bedroom area upstairs! Beautiful! Done in a week! No job is too big or too small. And they check in with me when they are working to see what I want, if needed. For example, they asked me how many and how deep I wanted the shelves in the new laundry space which I appreciated. Little things like that mean a lot.

Then last fall they built a new deck for me after the old one rotted out. Gorgeous! It is composite. I am so happy with it.

Finally they came around recently and painted the outside bricks on the stairwell going to my basement as well as the bricks on the lower portion of my house. Great job. They also built small short walls for a garden plot.

I am just very pleased with all the work they have done!

So happy I get to speak on the great experience I had working with Bob Magersupp. Bob provided a knowledgeable and kind experience from beginning to the end of my roof installation. The day I met him he was kind and reassuring even when times I may have felt unsure of the process. He walked me step-by-step reassuring me that the process works. He explained the contractual agreement of American Remodeling Corporation (ARC) thoroughly and cleared up all of my questions and when I thought at one time it might become a financial burden he worked with my insurance company and resolved that issue too. He understands the ARC and the relationship needed in working with various insurance companies and its customers. Not only did I have confidence in his abilities but would and have recommended him and ARC to others--something I seldom do. I suppose some contracting companies do get a bad reputation. I'm grateful that Bob and ARC proved me wrong.

We have used American Remodeling since 2004 when we purchased our home. We keep returning to American Remodeling because we trust them.Over 20 years they have replaced our roof, removed a load bearing wall to open up the family room, installed hardwood floors and crown molding throughout the 1st floor and replaced our front door & storm door. In 2023 they replaced 2 sliding glass doors and all of our windows (26). If we have a question or problem, they are always responsive and accommodating. The workmanship is always excellent. Not sure when, but our next projects will be kitchen cabinets/counters & bathroom updates. American Remodeling will be doing those too!

I was impressed with American Remodeling's team from estimating & quoting, scheduling and craftsmanship. The team was always professional and exceeding my expectations. I would highly recommend and I will use them for all home remodeling projects.

Before hiring, I recommend folks look up in the Maryland Judiciary Case Search how often ARC sues its customers. It's clear lots of people are unhappy with ARC, and it's beyond just "not paying the bill". ARC cuts corners at every opportunity and got indignant with me when I called them out on it. A job I was told would be 2 weeks took 6. Lots of no call no shows, no communication, and the man in charge only answers your phone call when it's time to pay. They're a GC and do bottom of the barrel GC work. If you're looking for craftsmanship, or something to be done well or with precision, this is not the company for you.

We dealt with three different companies and two seemed overpriced and not easy to work with. Then we met Richard! He was wonderful and very understanding. With a few pictures off Pinterest…he built our dream space. We’ve done quite a few projects in our house since purchasing in 2014, but this is hands down our absolute favorite. American Remodeling Inc. Were the contractors of my home owners insurance. 5 years has past since the original leak and I contacted tthem because I have a leak in my roof. I was given Cindy Scott to let her know that I was having a leak. She looked up my account and said I am still under warrenty and told me she will have the sub contractor roofer to come out. She assured me that I would be taken care of and put my mind at ease as these days it is a lot of things to stress over and roof work is not something I wanted to add to my list. She told me it might be the sky lights. The roofer came out and the sky lights that they installed are leaking and the covered the cost of sealing the leak and also gave me the manufacturer warranty as well in case we need to file a claim. So I appreciate the resources and quick attention to the matter and Cindy to assure me the quality of their service and that they would take of us if the work was not up to par.

We had multiple small projects at our home, primarily wall and ceiling drywall repair and painting. The team was on time and professional. They did a very good job! We will definitely use them for additional projects.

We used American Remodeling Corp for a complete roof and gutter replacement/installment following storm damage. They were a wonderful company to work with and we are glad we went with them. They helped us through the insurance process (a claim from a branch putting a hole in the roof), including us using them as a public adjuster. About half way through the process, the employee we were working with moved on from the company, but Amer Remodeling provided a replacement contact immediately and she remained our contact for the remainder of the project. It was a seemless transition. Our insurance review/settlement took a really long time, but Amer Remodeling was very helpful through every step, and repeatedly contacted our insurance company to get them to review the claim. Amer Remodeling was always responsive to calls and emails. For the details of the projects, they offered multiple options and provided candid feedback to help us make decision. Amer Remodeling helped us understand the insurance claim, the scope of the project, and the options. They even accommodated changes to the project after we had signed the contract (we had forgotten to include sky light replacements and decided to remove gutter guards). We really appreciated their professionalism, and their willing to work with us during all parts of the process. It was just so easy to work with them. The actual installation of the roof and gutters was smooth, and the finished product looks great. When you are spending a lot of money on a roof and gutters, it's nice to have a company you can trust. We definitely recommend American Remodeling Corp.

Ryan Patrick was most helpful to us through our roof replacement. Ours involved a lengthy insurance claim with adjustments and Ryan guided us through the whole process. I am thankful for Ryan’s great work and for the quality of the work performed to replace our roof. Thank you guys for being a champion to replace our roof and for doing a great job.

After doing our roof, we later found out that nails and debris where left on our roof and in our gutters which have covers. We also noticed that birds had nested in our gutters, due to the fact that the roofers did not put our end cap mesh back on one of the gutters. Now that we have nest in our gutters, we where told by the ARC that we had to hire gutter cleaners to remove the nest at our own expense. I understand that ARC does not clean gutters; however, we would not have had this issue if they had replaced the cap. Being a business owner, I know that good customer service goes a long way. A 5 star company would have offered to compensated a client for any expenses incurred that was caused by their negligence. For this reason, I can not give ARC 4 or 5 stars.

American Remodeling replaced my gable roof lickity split. They were very responsive and solicitous of my concerns that it be replaced (part of it flew off in a wind storm) asap, before a leak developed. Jake, the owner, always answered my questions immediately, and made every effort to get my job scheduled quickly. The work crew arrived right on time, and was very efficient. I would recommend American Remodeling to anyone! Thank you Jake and staff for a job very well done!

Great experience! Ryan Patrick led us through the process of a complete facelift for our house: roof, doors, windows, siding, gutters and paint. We have needed a new roof for my fathers house for quite sometime, and it really seemed impossible due to the cost of getting a new roof put on, but thanks to American Remodeling Corp and especially Ryan Patrick for helping my father get a brand new roof at a fantastic cost, it truly means the world to my family, Ryan helped make it a stress free process and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND him if you’re looking to replace your roof. Lastly the builders were fantastic they were in and out in one day left no mess and did a great job!

We used this company to refinish our basement and to convert a screen porch into a 3 season room and were satisfied although they take a long time to complete the work. It seems like they start jobs and then it is an extended period until the work is complete. Their cost is comparable to other companies.

We also had them refinish our floors. We were out of the house for three days. Within a year the floors were fading and it was clear the work was sub par. To their credit they did redo the floors. We were told we would need to be out of the house again for three days. Since they were redoing the floors free of charge, we agreed to pay for our family to stay in a hotel and dogs to be kenneled for the three days. The three days turned into 6 days and we asked the company to reimburse us for the 2nd three days because that was an additional cost (family and dogs) of just under $800. The company refused and it is for that reason we no longer will use them nor recommend them to our friends.

I have had this company replace a roof for me and afterwards refinishing the hardwood on my entire first floor. They also did some restoration work after water damage. I find this a fantastic company to work with. They are very flexible, they do excellent work and their prices are fair. I recommend this company with high enthusiasm.

All I have to say is this is the company that you want to hire. I had a general contracting company for 11 years, and my expectations were high, but these guys have acceded all of them. They may cost a little more now, but it will save you money in the long run. Very professional, great crews and I highly recommend!

American Remodeling just finished a new roof for my home and a metal roof for my shop after a very bad hail storm came threw and damaged it. Great work as always and super fast.
I have used American Remodeling for many projects for my house. They have been great on all of them. They did our roof, windows and our deck. We moved a few months ago and I needed a new roof on the new home and they did it on the same day we moved in, I would highly recommend American Remodeling for any home project that I can’t handle myself.
