These gentlemen did a wonderful job with our much needed chimney repairs. It was a larger commitment than we initially thought, and they were wonderful in helping us determine which elements were for safety and needed done quickly and which were cosmetic. They did both for us and we couldn’t be more pleased. They were consistently on time for the work and cleaned up after they had finished. We would use them again.

Solid work. American CGR gave us a good description of the work they would do to repair our chimney, including some recommendations I would not have thoughy of, and provided up-close “before” pictures of the existing state. Their communication was clear and the price seemed fair. Afterward they provided some great “after pictures” and answered all questions. Thank you!

Rich did a great job with my chimney! He was able to clean, inspect, and then repair any issues he saw very quickly. He also broke down what looked really good in my chimney, what needed to be fixed, and then things that could hold off for a few years that I should just be aware of.

Rich came last week and did inspection and cleaning of fireplace. He explained that it needed higher top and chimney cap. Set up appointment for today. Not only punctual but early. (He gave me a call ahead of time)
Made repairs and installed cap. Price was as quoted which was reasonable. Now only time will tell as to how well repairs hold up.

Rich came out to give me an estimate, did not show me any pictures and went up on the roof and completed the work without my o k. He reported they'd never show pictures before the work is done, which I am sure is not true. How do you know what he is telling you needs to be done without pictures. Then he accuse me of being dishonest. I've had several estimates after the work was done, (which was My plan before deciding which company I would have complete the work) reported that this work was not adequate for an expert in this industry, and I could have gotten a whole new custom cap $100 less than what he charged me for a repair. Also seven hundred dollars is a lot to pay for a repair that will only last six months to a year. The repair was completed with a $16.00 can of flex seal on top of your rusty pan, which you can pay a handyman, to do four $100.00. In twenty four years of home ownership, I have never dealt with a person this dishonest. He took advantage of a single older woman. I would not recommend this business. Dishonest and very shady.

Quickly came out, gave an honest assessment of our stack stone chimney and repaired some gaps and offered to fix some poor work left over from a prior company. Also had a nice text system to let me know when they were coming, confirming appt, when they were en route. And when work was completed.

I had my gutter's repaired by American Chimney. Their pricing is very competitive and they were honest about the repair vs. a replacement gutter they didn't try to sell me on services not needed.

These guys fixed and rebuilt our chimney and our house now has the best looking chimney it ever had. We called them to clean & fix our gutters and to see what was going on around our chimney - it was showing water damage and looking bad. When we bought our house, our chimney looked a little like a patch job and over time was looking worse & worse. Once these guys got up there they found that it wasn't built right and missing a lot of support wood and moisture barrier all the way up. They were able to take pictures to prove the state it was in. We got on their schedule immediately and they got to work and rebuilt our chimney, replacing the siding and toppers too. They painted it as well to match the rest of the house. They missed a couple siding pieces at the top - so I called about that and they were very happy to come right out and paint those spots. They even removed an old large antenna off our roof that everyone else we called in the past was afraid to remove.

We were very happy with the work they did for us and we'll be using them again for all our roof work. Thanks to the guys that did an excellent job for us!

Checked my chimney for repairs and found several issues where seals at the cap of chimney had failed which had caused old water damage in the house for the precious owners.

The experience dealing with this company was awesome! They were very punctual, even on the day they came out to give me the free estimate. I would recommend American Chimney to anyone that is in need of chimney repair. My brick chimney was leaning toward the roof; which was caused by a huge crack in the layers of brick, close to the roof line. American Chimney came out, reviewed the problem and listened to our concerns. The top portion, just below the crack, was removed without damaging the flue. The original chimney was very wide, built straight up. The new one is constructed out of siding, instead of brick, eliminating a lot of weight. We are very happy with the end result. Top quality!!

Rich and his team came out and were on-time, quick and most importantly, honest. The quote was competitive and they did not try to up-sell me on anything. Given my recent experiences with other gutter companies that have come to give me a quote and used pressure tactics or extremely high pricing, American CGR were the polar opposite. I will use them for all my future needs and highly recommend them.

They guys were really nice and hardworking. I trust that they did the work they said, because I can’t check it myself. I wish there had been a discussion going over everything they did to repair my chimney. I would have appreciated some photos as well. They also left all the debris in the yard.

I had to edit my review because it's been less than a year and my chimney is now leaking again which was the whole reason I had it repaired. I also sent them an email about it on their website before posting this and they never responded.

Contractors could learn a few lessons from this company!! I’ve hired many contractors over the past three years as I renovate my 1960s home and this is the only contractor I’ve hired more than once. In fact, they have done four jobs for me - two roof installs, a stone/brick stoop (fixing another contractor’s mess) and a gutter job. Every single job has been done on time, exactly as quoted and expected, and they are always professional. The one thing that stands out more than any other contractor is they are not lazy, meaning they don’t want 100 pictures in an effort to quote without ever coming to your home. This company comes out, does a thorough inspection and then has a conversation with you. I only wish they did more than roofs, gutters, and chimneys!

Our chimney cap got knocked off during a storm. We called countless companies & no one had availability in the time frame we wanted. Americna Chimney was able to fix us into their schedule same week, be on call for any questions we had, & they installed a new chimney cap for us within a couple days of the estimate. Everyone we talked to was very friendly & helpful. I highly recommend them! We will be calling them when we have any other chimney needs.

Richard Hyde and his team are always professional, kind, and thorough. Richard patiently described each step of the process to me; he took before and after photos and was very patient in answering my many questions. I had the chimney fluet capped and a a new covering added. After many months I noticed water sitting in the basement around the chimney. I emailed Richard and contacted the office. The office said they would send out a technician but I requested Richard. I was informed that he no longer worked in the field. On my appointment day, to my surprise and delight, Richard showed up. He informed me that he personally wanted to make sure repairs were done to my satisfaction. He took the time to empty the water that I had vaccumed and look for any problem areas. He covered the chimney with a solution and insisted that he follow up for the next few months. It has not rained heavy as of yet but I feel confident that he resolved my problems.

I have dealt with alot of contractors and companies in the past and it is a good feeling when you know you are dealing with an honest business person.

Great experience overall! I reached out to their team about scheduling a chimney cleaning / repair and was able to get an appointment quickly. Everyone was super helpful and responsive throughout the entire process. On the day of my appointment, I received a call to notify me of their ETA and the service was great. I'll definitely be using them for maintenance in the future!

I needed to have a possible roof leak detected and had called around to other companies for possible estimates and appointments. I had one come out but they didn't even bring a ladder so they couldn't get on the roof for a true inspection nor did they check the attic but they were quick to rattle off a high estimate based upon a 'visual' inspection from the ground! So I definitely decided to look some more and found American Chimney on-line and decided to give them a try. I am glad that I did. I talked to Stephen and he set up an appointment for a few days later and he and his colleague showed up on time and notified me before hand when they were on their way so that I could expect them. Right away, they climbed up on the roof and went up into the attic simultaneously to try and ferret out the possible leak (because ohh yeah, there was one)! They found the culprit within a few minutes. It seems a small hole caused by a rusty nail was the main villain of this story. 10 minutes later, with a bit of caulking and some 'rusty' under hand tossing (LOL), the villain seems to have been dealt with. They were both very nice and polite and very professional and knowledgeable. They explained everything going on and any and all possible outcomes before doing anything. I will definitely call them if I ever have any other roofing issues!
