I wish I had thoroughly read through the reviews on this contractor. He quoted my drywall job, painting job and trim job as well as siding and ceramic tile.

This contractor struggles with proper leadership and supervision of his guys. Why do I state this; he would send these young guys to the job and they would do this and that but could not communicate in English, they made a mess and didn’t clean up at the end of the day.

The siding job was done really well as it was done by a guy that the contractor hired specifically for this work.

The drywall job was done okay but the contractor had to fix some pocket doors where the nails used were too long and scraped and scratched the door.

This contractor does not finish work he starts and because I felt bad I paid him in full. I am now finishing the trim that he was paid to do, painting of the trim, cleanup of the tile

Overall my review of this contractor is that the guy her hired to do the siding did really well, the drywall was done well except for where he had to open up the wall and make corrections and didn’t finish it. Painting was done well

I feel his job planning is always crisis oriented ie waiting til the last minute and then realizing oh we need this material telling the owner that he is standing around when he could be finishing something else that he started.

Edgar and his guys are all exceptional. What began as just an interior house painting turned into roofing, a fence installation, deck work, as well as inside plumbing and electrical work. There isn't anything that they can't do. And the best part of it all is Edgar. He is super kind and cares fully for his customers. He and his team put in long days to get the job done. I would highly recommend Edgar for any project needing to be done. He is my first and only call for anything that I may need in the future.

Edgar and his team did a fantastic job painting the exterior of our home. They are respectful, very hard working, take pride in their work, and pay attention to the details. I would highly recommend Alvarez Painting.

I had hired this company to perform interior painting. While their quote was higher than another I received, they seemed honest and hard working. Additionally, they were a relatively young company so I wanted to help and support them. The interior painting went well and they did a good job. Before they finished the interior painting, I asked for a quote on painting my deck. He looked at it while he was here and gave me a quote. I specifically mentioned I wanted the sides (lattice) included. Based on the work that he performed on the interior, I didn’t consider getting another quote. I agreed to his price and start date. I picked up the paint and went over which color was for the floor and rails and which color I wanted on the lattice sides. He had informed me that he had a big job coming up so he had come over on the weekend to finish. Well, he wasn’t able to finish the sides before the end of the day so I was expecting him to come back after his big job was finished. I didn’t want him to jeopardize his bigger job for the sake of finishing the small remaining items. I even mentioned I would be calling him for some additional work when he came back to finish. When I reached out recently, he stated he was busy until July and he would have to charge me extra for finishing the deck. When I reminded him that I paid him for the completed job that he hadn’t finished. I tried several times to resolve this matter so I wouldn’t have to resort to posting a bad review. Unfortunately, he refuses to finish the job for which I paid in full. He apparently miscalculated the time necessary to complete the deck and I am left with an unfinished project Terribly disappointed!!!
