Alta Property Services has helped my clients on projects large and small. And their work and customer service are exceptional! The owner Ron has always been quick to communicate (not always the case with contractors) and the folks he has working for him really know their stuff! Peter is one of the project managers and is not only organized but also helps come up with creative solutions when needed. Highly recommend!

Zero stars for this company! A technician from Alta Property Services came out to fix a leak in my bathroom and they ended up breaking the shower faucet. He shut the water off, so we had no running water in the house. He promised to fix it the next day but never showed up or called. We called the company and they informed us that the technician called off and they didn’t know when he was returning. They also said they had no one else to send to fix the problem. The technician should have at least capped the faucet so we can access to our running water before leaving the property. We have been without water for days now! DO NOT let this company near your house, they are terrible!!

Our tech, Chris went above and beyond in coming to our house and completing the job. This all happened in sub zero temps in Chicago. After a long day, Chris called and provided an update on where he was and timing of when he would be able to be at the house. He was willing to come after hours (arrived at 7:30PM) and did a great job fixing 2 toilets and ensuring the job was complete before he left - and all with a smile. He was polite, professional and super helpful with explaining what he was doing. Great example of what great service looks like.

I had one of the worst experiences ever with Alta Property Services, who were sent by Choice Home Warranty to address a problem with my basement ejector pump. Their unprofessionalism, carelessness, and excessive charges left me frustrated, with more problems than when I started. Here’s what happened:
1. Unjustified Extra Charges: After receiving approval from the warranty company to replace the ejector pump, Alta charged me an additional $70 for a few parts that were supposedly not covered under the warranty. This was on top of the $75 service fee. These charges felt unnecessary and poorly explained.
2. Negligence and Safety Risks: While removing the ejector pump, the plumber didn’t bother turning off the power breaker, which caused dirty water to spray all over him and my basement. This kind of carelessness is unacceptable—it not only made a huge mess but posed a serious safety hazard. Instead of taking responsibility for the cleanup, he handed me a business card for a restoration company, expecting me to spend more money fixing his mess.
3. Shoddy Workmanship: After installing the new pump, I noticed the water wasn’t draining properly. The plumber had to come back to “realign” the pump, which should have been done right the first time. However, this fix didn’t last long. A few hours later, water started leaking from the pipe he replaced, and the pit began filling up again.
4. Ridiculous Upselling: When I contacted Alta about the new leak, they claimed the pit was too small for the pump and quoted me $4,160 to enlarge the pit. This is outrageous, especially since I’ve been using this ejector pump for over 20 years without any issues until they got involved.
5. Lack of Accountability: Alta’s plumber demonstrated no ownership of the problems caused during and after their work. Instead of resolving the issue, they kept trying to upsell me on expensive additional services and repairs.

Overall, Alta Property Services turned what should have been a simple repair into an ongoing nightmare. Their lack of professionalism, dangerous negligence, and predatory pricing are unacceptable. I would never recommend them to anyone and strongly urge you to avoid their services at all costs.

I’m extremely happy with the service we received. We have a home warranty and Alta was dispatched to correct a plumbing issue with our toilet, it was taking forever to fill after flushing. I’ve had this problem for about 2 years now, my warranty company has sent out multiple plumbers (2-3) who’ve attempted to fix the issue but were unable and just provided me with different excuses as to why it’s not fixed, like that I have low pressure etc, when the toilet wasn’t like that when we bought the house…I’ve been under the impression we had a leak this whole time, our water bill has been outrageous so I finally called the warranty company again on the same issue and was so relieved to find out Alta was easily able to correct the problem. I guess the 3rd/4th turn is a charm. Finally a plumber who knows what they’re doing, thank you Alta! I’m hoping our water bills will be more affordable now as a result

The team @ Alta was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and thorough. Everything was completed on time and 100% perfect. Am grateful for true professionals!

Horrible service! Not only did they take $75 from my mom and did absolutely nothing! They also lied to the home warranty which caused them to cancel the claim. They took advantage of her knowing that she is old. They lied and said that it was more than just the faucet. That it was gunna be this whole ordeal. Took a friend 10 min to remove the faucet and replace it. Posted our new faucet that they refused to replace. My mom is still very upset with the whole ordeal.

Would NOT recommend. I had an appointment scheduled from 3pm-5pm. I called at 3:00pm for ETA. I was told that my appointment was canceled because they tried to call me at 11:00am and no one answered. They didn’t even leave a voicemail or text. I was told they usually call when they are about 30 minutes away. How do you cancel an appointment at 11 AM that’s scheduled for 3 to 5 PM?!

The service technician, Christopher Oliver was very professional assessing the repair that needed to be taken care of. He took the time to take pictures, explain the process of the repair work taken place and cleaned up. We were very satisfied with Christopher and ALTA.

I highly recommend Alta property team.everyone is very kind,very professional, and knowledgeable, they acted very quickly when my basement flooded, and alot of other work they have done on my home. Thank you so much for everything.

Had an issue with my kitchen sink 12/25/2023 they came out 12/27/2023 was told that the faucet needed to be replaced but I didn't have the part I told them I will get the part and they could come back tomorrow they said okay but they called me back to ask me if I could get the part today because they wouldn't be able to get anyone to me until Friday they come back today within a couple hours and put the faucet in. Needless to say I am more than thankful for their professionalism and awesome work Thanks again

Alta Property team quickly responded to my texts and worked around my schedule. Issue with a leaky kitchen faucet, Edgar walked me through my warranty and costs. Would work with them again. Highly recommend!

Ron, David, and the entire Alta crew were immediately responsive to my needs and worked with me to develop a plan of action in my home. I've recommended Alta to several friends already and I wouldn't hesitate to call them again should the need arise.

Had an issue with sump pump. They sent out Luis who did an excellent job.
This company very professional and very dependable. Their contact number moves to the top of service providers.
