I recommend Tanner and his crew to replace your stairs if you have too steep of stairs, and loose steps with lots of uncertainty every time you take a step. I run a family daycare and I needed safe and reliable stairs. Thanks to these guys we can all have peace of mind that these stairs will withhold to anything. My most favorite thing is our stairs are so much wider, even the toddlers have no problem.

Good contractors are hard to find. Tanner with Alpha Homes Construction is one of a kind. On time, friendly, stayed within budget, gave suggestions I didn't think of, a stress free experience. I would recommend them to anyone. Tanner will be my go to contractor for any future project.

DO NOT USE…

I would be cautious of some of the other reviews on here as it looks like they were all done at about the same time to increase ratings with no pictures? We can’t believe the difference in work we received compared to other reviews :(

We pressed on an advertisement on Instagram for these guys. Tanner came over and looked over our three-bathroom project and said he could get started right away- it seemed to be doing ok, but ended up being a complete disaster- worst experience we have had with 10+ contractors we have worked with over the years. In order to be condense this review:

- They never provided invoices- everything was done very quickly/was not thought out- just texts about how much this would be and it changed even though we asked numerous times to have invoices
- The subcontractors drove over our plants about 3-4 times during the project and we are now replacing landscaping that they have destroyed.
- The finishing work of Tanner’s subcontractors is the worst we’ve hired- cuts mid plank in molding around doors, plumbing not flush with the walls, very poor craftsmanship- we had to ask them to come back twice to fix work
- The painters left spots where they covered with calk but never came back to finish
- The drywall work was done too quickly after the tile/grout was laid that the drywall dust was mixed in with the grout on the floor and left our grey grout white- and we are still trying to figure out what to do
- We chose Tanner because we wanted to keep our original cabinet boxes and just replace the fronts. Weeks later when the cabinet fronts came in, the cabinet maker called me and said that what Tanner promised was incorrect and it couldn’t be done and that we would have to change all the boxes (after the countertops and the entire bathroom was done.)
- Overwhelmed and underqualified, Tanner told us he would “not waste anymore time” via text on our project, left our project with cabinet fronts on the ground, a cabinet maker who told us that we have to take out the countertops and reinstall new boxes, mirrors not installed, lights not installed, floors not completed, clean up work not done, painting not finished, holes in our walls.
- In our approximately $55k project, we had $4k left to pay- he asked for final payment with everything outstanding above, and we said we could not pay the final $4k in good conscious as the project was very far from being done and in disarray- and he left.
- Tanner told the subcontractors that he couldn’t pay them because we didn’t pay (they later told us this) because it sounds like Tanner didn’t organize well/lies
- Tanner told us that he completed an electrical connection in the wall, but he didn’t (and lied) when pressed and then came back to do it the next day
- We started the project with Tanner in January and it is now end of May and we are still not done because after hiring other cabinet makers and trying to finally finish this project, it looks like the cabinet fronts were measured incorrectly and we have had to not only try to salvage the cabinet boxes but now make new fronts. We have now paid an additional $8k to fix their work. Our current contractor and cabinet makers can’t believe the mistakes they made :(
- He told us that he could get his subcontractors to do anything (very disrespectful and insulting to the hardworking immigrants who very much depend on him for their livelihood)
- Aside from all of the above, is their lack of honesty and integrity. We caught Tanner in numerous lies and were quite shocked when he left our project with his personal internal justifications. He left our house in disarray with very little respect of the time, love and money we give to our home and we trusted him with these projects
- We strongly do not recommend…every day for the past couple of months we have been trying to fix the mistakes they made. Trying to decide if he have the energy to take them to small claims
- There are many other contractors out there who do high quality workand most of all are honest people

Tanner was/is professional, helpful, nice, honest, and communicates well about what is going on. He goes out of his way to make sure the job is done correctly and in a timely manner. Also mindful of others priorities and time. I appreciate all his help!
