KISS YOUR MONEY GOODBYE IF YOU CHOOSE THIS GUY! Learn from our mistake; never pay a contractor up front! We hired Carlos Preston, contractor license #TN35191, and his company DBA All Professional Construction to do a (per his contract) not to exceed 12-week bathroom addition project in August 2016. He had teams of people on site and made big promises for the first two and a half weeks as they completed approximately 40% of the project. We stupidly paid, in contrast, pre-payments of 73% of the contract price and that is when work basically stopped. Days or weeks passed without any workers onsite despite multiple calls, text and emails requesting progress. With the exception of some drywall and 4 windows (2 of which were incorrect size/style), no other materials were delivered to the site. After 20 weeks we had a project that included a break in the ridge-beam that required an interior redesign to provide support, Tyvek wrap that had been blowing in the wind for 4 months and crooked walls. The only work completed on the project after those first weeks by subcontractors was rough-ins for plumbing and electrical, and drywall work that had to be torn out and redone by a second subcontractor. There were apologies and excuses, coupled with anger and intimidation but no substantive action was taken to move the project forward which resulted in termination of Carlos Prestion / All Professional Construction. We have attempted to contact him through certified mail and an attorney for over a year to get the $17000+ we overpaid to no avail. ANYONE WOULD BE BETTER, DON’T DO IT!
