My husband and I contacted Matt because we were informed by our insurance company that if we did not have a new roof in a month, they would be dropping our coverage. It was vital to us to get this job completed by that date and in a timely enough manner that we would not lose our coverage. I communicated this to Matt and he assured me that he would be able to complete the job by the said date, we would go through my insurance company, and I wouldn’t have to pay out of pocket. All good news for us to hear. Matt assured us he was very comfortable working with the insurance companies and would have no problem.
When it came down to getting the claim processed, Matt did not hear from the company for two weeks, then asked that I call the company. I did all of the communicating with the insurance company which I believed would have been handled by him. A couple times he was missing information for the insurance company or had improper formatting in his documents that would cause unnecessary hold ups. Matt believed he could get an addition $2-4k from the company which never happened.
When it came time for the job to get done, Matt tried to push the job two weeks (completely ignoring my tight timeline I stressed earlier), saying he did not have the funds to pay his workers and required cash up front to start the job on time. The workers (that he outsourced) were refusing to work because they had not been paid for the job prior. We later realized he would go on again to have these issues on his next job after us, as he was pressing us for the insurance money once the job was done.
TLDR; was not great with insurance communication, did not keep to his promise of following our tight timeline, over promised.
What I can say is the roof ended up beautiful and we are happy with the work. I thank the workers as they worked very hard for a long 12 hour day.
We asked Mathew and his team to make a number of roofing and related repairs but advise us if replacements were needed instead. Most of their work ended up being repairs. Their competitor tried to inappropriately convince us to replace the whole roof. Matt was honest and thorough while saving us thousands. I highly recommend All Good.
From estimate to completion, fantastic experience. Matthew is very knowledgeable, friendly, on time and delivers on promises. Would 100% recommend to anyone for all their roofing needs. Job was completed swiftly and the skilled workers were very conscientious and respectful. Five stars
