We (husband and I with two small kids, two dogs and a cat aka an entire zoo) decided to renovate and move into my parents house with my mom after my dad’s passing. It was obviously a very difficult transition and a huge task (as we had to gut almost the entire home and create an ADU). The team at Wright Builders was amazing every step of the way from sales to completion. Nick and Joe were incredibly thorough, kind and helped us navigate the 3 million things we never would even think of (layout, practicality, cost) and made it as painless as humanly possible. Nancy was great in working with what we wanted and extremely thoughtful in the design plans and mapping out the project. Todd our PM was so wonderful, helped keep us sane when we were losing our minds after looking at cabinet pulls for 6 straight days. And all the work him and Nick did with the permitting and the town inspections-could be a novel in itself but they handled it flawlessly. The production team, Tim, John and Ben were talented, courteous and thorough. Everyone contracted was great as well including Gary the electrician and Emma and her painting team. The quote and pricing may be higher than other local companies, but I would not have gone with any other team. Thank you all for your hard work and I appreciate you helping us create a beautiful home for our family!

Love working with this company, I have worked with other construction companies in the area and wright builders stands out above some of the competitors for me. Wright builders has good subcontractors, good project managers, and their fees are comparable to their competitors. Their jobs are generally very tidy and on schedule. And the people are easy to deal with and communicative.

I have thought a long time about whether to write a review and were I to write one, what I would say. It’s come to the point where I think it’s a disservice not to write a review. I engaged this company roughly a year ago to do a quite extensive renovation on an older home and while that relationship started out positively, I cannot possibly recommend this company. The work has been beset by sloppy mistakes from the first week of work that left me still with an unfinished home seven months into what was supposed to have been a four month process (by their account) and 4+ months after I have moved in. They have made errors that they never should’ve made, that they failed to catch (among others they did not notice, which were far too many) and then, in fixing or attempting to fix these errors, have not resolved the issue. In some cases, the work has been sloppy and inferior. Part of the reason was insufficient oversight of the subs and not enough attention to detail. I moved into a house where some of the appliances were not installed properly, where the floors were not finished properly, where the plaster and paint subs cut corners and now that work needs to be redone, and where work that should’ve been completed had not been. Far too often I have caught these errors. They have also included errors with billing. The amount of time and energy it has taken me to not only look over their work, which is an absolute necessity, but also to look over their billing practices has been significant. They may (or may not) be capable of running an efficient and high-quality renovation, but there is no doubt that they majorly messed up on my project in multiple ways and have admitted as much. I have had several frank conversations and after each there are promises of improvement, but the improvements have been too far and too few to change my view of the company. I have since spoken to a few others with similar experiences, which I wish I had known before engaging them, hence the review.
