So our property was hit by hurricane Helene in SW VA. Our cabin is in the back of our property which has a pretty steep mountain in front and heavily wooded with old growth hardwood trees. After the hurricane about only a third of our trees were left standing and it looked pretty much decimated. Our driveway was covered with trees some places 10 deep and HUGE. We called Michael and he gave us a reasonable quote and showed up the next day and got to work. He and one other guy worked for 4 days straight until it was done. They cleared our driveway which was the agreement and then he backfilled the huge holes from the uprooted trees and even grated it which was not a part of the deal. He took it upon himself to do the job until it was complete and didn’t change anything extra. Michael is an incredibly hardworking man of his word and I can’t say enough good things about him but I will let the before and after pictures speak for themselves. Last 4 are after.

I had Michael price out removing some trees and branches so part of my yard could get more sunlight. He gave me a lot of suggestions and great information. He keep me updated about my upcoming appointment which was awesome. He's a honest guy and a real tree professional. I wish I could hire him but my financial situation wont allow it however when and if that changes then I would call him. If you need any kind of tree service then call him or text him. He responds right away. You will be glad that you called him. you cant go wrong. Gove him a call.

Mike and his team came a long way on short notice and did an excellent job removing a huge tree limb that had fallen in a precarious place. They very neatly stacked the wood and got rid of the debris. We were very pleased.

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
