W&OD Design Remodel

This review is for W&OD Design and Remodel (formerly Hammer and Mop). We recently had them out for a few outside repairs including replacing a broken joist on our deck and replacing rotting wood trim around our front doorway. We were very pleased with the whole process. They were able to get us an estimate quickly. They responded to questions quickly and Kelsey kept us updated throughout the whole process from scheduling (and calling back when she said she would) to checking in during the project to make sure all was okay. Elmer was on time and friendly, and did a thorough job. Would definitely recommend them.

Fantastic work by W&D on one of my projects. A quick kitchen facelift with attention to details and great customer care. Highly recommend.

W&OD Design Remodel did a very nice job adding a door to cover our electrical panel. They were responsive and communicative, and the work they did looks great. Definitely will work with them again!

Had some odd handyman jobs done, which went well. . Had my laundry room remodeled. It was a challenge. Elmer and Pasi put their heads together and over came all obstacles. It looks great and it is now efficient. It was wonderful working with such talented and nice people. Highly recommend.

We had Hammer and Mop fix a variety of issues in our house and were really pleased with their work. Elmer took care of securing some drywall in our ceiling which had been precariously hanging for years! And Charlie secured/caulked crown molding and also fixed some squeaky floor boards. They were a pleasure to work with, and we will absolutely return to them in the future.

We converted a half bath to a full bath and the final product is excellent. From beginning to end we were informed of what was happening every day. Amazing, detailed workmanship by Charlie. He is thorough and proud of his work. No corners were ever cut and I would use Hammer and Mop for any future projects. It so so important to work with trustworthy people and this amazing company is totally reliable and I would give them 10 plus stars if available. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Pasi & Company did a tremendous job installing out LVT travertine and doing a multitude of other related projects— new plumbing and faucets, electrical work and lighting and swapping out of an old vanity for a new one. Their work was of the highest quality and was performed pleasantly, professionally and neatly. There were no surprises... except for good ones! Im hiring them to install wood floors next.

PS- Wood flooring has already been installed by Hammer and Mop. Beautiful!

We have now had two experiences with hammer and mop and they were wonderful. Highly recommend them!!

Charlie was great. He arrived promptly and switch out my outdoor electrical outlet so that we can continue to enjoy the lights during the week of Christmas. Definitely recommend.

Workmanship was great and showed up when expected. Needed to replace two bad tiles he installed and correct finish cut around threshold, but once done it, was fantastic. Left area clean and used drop clothes to the bathroom.

I definitely would recommend Hammer and Mop. Elmer, who did the work, did an excellent job. He installed a new chandelier on a different location, raised our kitchen cabinet and installed an over the range microwave. Both projects were done with precision and care. The clean up was also done very thorough.
For sure I know who I would contact again for some future home projects. Big or small... I trust Hammer and Mop 100%.

I am an Interior Designer and had called upon Hammer and Mop to do some feature walls in a clients home. They did a tremendous job on something that was not an easy task. They were on time, on budget and the completed work is amazing! I already have them quoting other projects for me. From the estimate, to the office staff, to the crew...everyone did a great job! Pasi and his team are professional and reliable. Our handyman, Charlie, took care of assembling an office desk and 2 office chairs. He also fixed grout in 2 bathrooms and repaired a sink faucet. He returned on a separate occasion to paint our office closet. Our 3 year old daughter enjoyed working along side him with her own "tool kit" to assemble her very own table and chairs! :)

We had a hood vent installed above our stove--> H&M responded quickly, were considerate of our home, and maintained a superb level of communication.

The entire experience was great! I had cabinets removed, and a doorway widened (drywall work). Elmer was patient with my questions, and diligent in his work. They even fixed the garbage disposal! I had asked for a change to our agreement (swap one kind of work for another, to achieve similar result) and they obliged, as they decided it was a reasonable exchange. Many contractors either would not, or would severely up-charge. Will call again as I have more demo/build work in the future.

I had Hammer & Mop do some window caulking for me. They did a great job and the whole process was very efficient and professional.

I had Hammer & Mop come out to give me an estimate on replacing my kitchen sink. Due to the way the original sink was in, it turned into a remodel. Charlie was fantastic! He explained everything. I figured if I was getting a new sink I'd get a farmhouse sink. Charlie explained what it would take to put one in. I had total confidence in him. When everything was done he had installed the sink, faucet, garbage disposal, cooktop, and tile backsplash. He also removed the old counters and backsplash. Sky Marble installed the new counters. Everything looks absolutely great and I love it! Communication was excellent throughout the project. Kelsey always checked at the end of the day to make sure everything was good. I highly recommend them! They'll be my first call for anything I need in the future.

I had two minor plumbing issues. A technician was sent out the day after I contacted Hammer and Mop. The repairs were made professionally and I felt the charges were reasonable.

Hired Hammer and Mop to take care of one of our residents apartments. They were responsive, on time, very professional. Our resident loved the work performed which means I loved the work also! Would recommend them!

From estimate to final completion of work, the communication transparency and work done was impeccable. Elmer, their contractor worked tirelessly early am to late evenings to get the job done. Basement rebuild, drywall and electrical work completed and was top quality. Wouldn’t hesitate to call or use them again. Best contractor we’ve dealt with in northern VA hands down.

Hammer and Mop is one of those companies that we end up calling again and again for more and more projects. We have been using them since they first got started for a number of house projects that are just too complex to do by myself. Everything from just simple wiring jobs, to recently adding an entire wall/doorway to break up our basement.

They are amazing to work with and their quality always goes beyond what we expected. We are always smiling every time we see the end result.

We worked with Elmer to have a utility sink installed in our garage. He communicate well about arrival time. He was happy and respectful as he worked. He stayed till the job was done. I was very comfortable with him in our home.

Hammer & Mop showed up on time from start to finish of projects. We had to do some outside the box thinking for some of the projects and they had suggestions to enhance the ideas I already had. They worked efficiently and cleaned up after their work was complete.

My experience engaging Hammer & Mop has been top-notch. The owner Pasi visited to prepare estimates for drywall repair, painting, installing/re-keying door locks and a re-build of a dilapidated deck. While the deck is still in the planning stages, the other tasks were completed timely and exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed working with Pasi and Charlie, who is skilled and meticulous with his work. Also I should mention Kelsey, she handles scheduling and other admin.
