Glass locked doors over all the drill bits, blades and cutting heads. You can no longer effectively shop here without finding supervision to get your tools for you. I will go 30 minutes out of my way to drive to hood river rather than waste time looking for employees to help me when it's convenient.

This well stocked hardware store is ready to serve the community needs. Helpful staff who will show you what you are seeking. They have great seasonal product displays. Spring and summer garden starts with dirt and all the other things for gardening. Lots of neat things you do not really need, but will want. Lots of options if you need to buy a gift for someone. I almost always find what I am looking for when I go in.

I bought a "Milwaukee" drill set that was already broken and destroyed when I bought it. The drill didn't work at all, no power whatsoever and the impact apparently had exposed wires inside so when it got like 2 raindrops in it, it permanently died. Lucky I don't sue. It hadn't been opened for a month because it was a Christmas gift. Never shop here, they sell broken tools at full price willingly. This is theft of $350. Kick rocks.

Best customer service I've ever had at a hardware store! The young dude who just shaved his head, AMAZING. Bret, amazing! The gal with the dog, super duper! The two girls that work the register, exceptional! I love this store because of the service!

Went in looking for a special kind of sprinkler, and they had it! Nice clean store, and a good selection of hardware items. Helpful staff. Masks were required.
They had an excellent price on three-colored fall mums, so I picked some of those up, also.

A surprising inventory for such a small footprint. Everything from automotive to paint to welding to electrical to framing in one place. A fantastic collection of screws/nuts/bolts. Typically small quantities in stock, so not a contractor supply store, but perfect for a home owner. Very friendly and covid-aware staff.

This place has by far the worst customer service! Not only do they take away from the locally owned and operated hardware store down the street, Talbert hardware, but they do so in the worse possible fashion. I had to run down to pick up some things from Grocery Outlet the other day, so I thought I would stop in to grab a few things there while I was at it. Little did I know, it was about 10 minutes before closing. The cashier seemed to be more irritated that I was there, then she was in helping me, and I told her I just needed to grab a few cans of spray paint and would be in and out. I went to go walk down the aisle, but it was completely blocked off by the barbecue grills that were on display out front during business hours. Rather than assisting, or finding assistance, to move them out-of-the-way, she decided it be best to bicker with one of the other clerks. After standing there for a few minutes staring down the aisle, attempting to drop the hint that I needed access, I finally gave up and walked out. Nothing from her was said at all. Ace Hardware sucks and I will not only NEVER shop there again myself, but I will discourage anyone & everyone I possibly can to not shop there as well!

Good store, helpful employees BUT the 2 large service dogs laying down blocking customer path to cash register is just wrong. Worker who is training service dogs should have them behind counter with her NOT impeding customer. *** Have been back to this hardware store several times and the dogs are still impeding the customers. Found out today that several customers have complained. BUT the owner still does nothing. I am extremely tired of having to walk around dogs sprawled out....decided not to go back anymore. I will pay the bridge toll, gas and time to shop where owners control the work environment.

Today, 6/20/19, decided to update comment: According to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), service dogs have been specifically trained to “work” for people with medical conditions. They can travel mostly anywhere in public, even in hospital rooms. The animals must be held on leashes, unless the restraints interfere with their functions. And the purpose of the dog is generally nobody’s business, with employees limited to asking two questions: Is the dog a service animal required because of a disability? What work or task has the dog been trained to perform?

The manager has improved dramatically in terms of helping people and being courteous. They still seem a bit lacking as to help on the floor but had three cashiers going so kudos for making the line go faster.

Not great. Staff not knowledgeable and their selection of hardware types seems secondary to beer (located at the front) and hot sauce. Also, never ever try get a key made here. Wow...just wow. Two stars is for lower prices on beer than the grocery store. Ironic but it IS useful

Few to no organic gardening products. I believe the majority of gardeners are organic gardeners now (at least veggie gardeners are) so it is an odd to not carry organic products. Also, the prices for drip irrigation fittings are literally 3-4 times higher than what I pay on-line. I really do want to shop locally, but not that bad!

They've really improved the offerings in our local hardware/general store. Still need to go elsewhere for many things, but for most general hardware needs this works just fine.

I really love our little ACE STORE , as it has alot of really sweet people that work there, and found them ALL to be very friendly and knowledgeable. No , they do not have everything you might get across the river, but they have just enough. At times ,the prices are so much cheaper. I shop there often!

Pricing questions
1. What is the average roof replacement cost for a residential home?
+-

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?
+-

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
