Chuck Whitaker used to have a 5 star rating. We contacted him for roofing & repair estimates a few years ago. After he didn’t get back to us in a timely manner, he came back around and we agreed to have him roof the cottage. His delay was costly as the tarpaper he tacked over the roof didn’t hold and the roof leaked in causing the ceiling and insulation to collapse inside! After this he had a crew come out and put a metal roof on. We had them expand the kitchen area at the same time. His crew “finished” the roof, but never finished the expansion. They never finished the bottom, never finished the siding and we didn’t get the rest of the siding from him until a few weeks ago! He left it lay in a pile in the garage. He still has the key to our cottage! They never cleaned up the old roof debris or picked up the nails with green plastic circles from our yard. I had the misfortune to step on one of the nails! This was over a year ago! One of his excuses was he couldn’t get any “help”!
Maybe he did good work years and years ago but a person shouldn’t have to beg someone to do the work they say they’re going to do when they say they are going to do it and FINISH the job!
Don’t be fooled by this guy! Go elsewhere and DO NOT pay him ahead of time or you won’t get a good result!

This company was recommended by our local Mernards. I spoke to someone that indicated he was the owner and set up a time and date for a quote and he was a NO SHOW. Complete lack of respect, if you don’t do small jobs then just say so and understand that when we me, family or friends do need a bigger job we won’t forget how we were treated.

We purchased a new home, and within a month of living in the house we lost a bunch or roofing material. I would fix it, and then a week later we would lose a different section. After losing 3/4 of the roofing material in a storm only two months later, we needed a different direction. That is when Whitaker Construction offered us a better solution. The owner personally met with me to discuss options and costs. We went with the shingle looking medal roof, and we have not regretted that decision for one second. The crew was great, the roof is fantastic, and when the wind is screaming outside, I know my roof isn’t going anywhere. Thanks guys!
