Customer feedback on Valley Builders is predominantly positive, highlighting their effective communication, responsiveness, and quality of work. Many reviews commend Brian for his professionalism and ability to manage projects efficiently, even during challenging times. However, there are a few negative experiences reported, primarily concerning lapses in communication after initial contact. While most customers express high satisfaction with their completed projects, the inconsistency in follow-up communication raises concerns for potential clients. Overall, Valley Builders appears to be a reliable choice for home construction, though prospective customers may want to ensure consistent communication throughout the process.
- Brian walked me through to the final results and was responsive to all questions or any concerns.
- Brian always kept us informed and aware of what was expected.
- Brian is very responsive; we easily had several hundred texts between us.
- Valley Builders did an excellent job building our home with high quality and attention to detail.
- Brian provided the best value out of the several bids we received.
- Haven’t heard from them since... I've been completely ghosted.
- We couldn't get a decent contract out of him... he seemed to take it as a personal affront.
- There were a lot of red flags: the contract, prices were incomplete and didn't add up to the total.
- Communication has been inconsistent after initial contact.

I contacted them through their website to inquire about building a home in the next 6-12 months. I was impressed at first that they replied to my inquiry right away by asking me where I wanted to build. However, my delight ended there. Haven’t heard from them since. Although I’ve now reached out to them twice, I’ve been completely ghosted and left wondering why. They might be amazing builders but I’ll never know because I certainly wouldn’t trust them to build my home if they can’t even continue a short discussion by email. Super frustrating and unprofessional.
I recently came into a good sized inheritance and was going to pay cash for the entire project but I guess my money isn’t needed so I’ll take it elsewhere.

My vision for a garage needed some guidance and Brian walked me through to the final results. We love the results!!. Even in the times of Covid pricing, Brian and team were able to exceed our expectations. Valley builders took my vision and made it happen. Brian was responsive to all questions or any concerns. His team was courteous and efficient. We highly recommend Valley Builders and are confident there is no way we would have gotten this quality of building from any other team.

Brian at Valley Builders was always our first and only choice. He’s a very talented and well respected custom home builder in the Shenandoah Valley. He listened to our wants and needs and made our dream home come true in 7 months (during a pandemic to say the least). We broke ground on January 23rd and occupancy was approved on July 15th. Now that is service at its best. We would recommend him for many different reasons. He stayed on budget and was proactive in planning what the next steps were for his crew and subcontractors. Brian always kept us informed and aware of the what was expected during the next phase. He always called to ask us our preference after offering his expert opinions. We love our new home and very happy with our decision to use Valley Builders.

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.
The cost to replace the roof of a commercial building typically ranges from $5 to $12 per square foot, depending on several factors such as roof size, material, labor rates, building type, and local code requirements.
Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.
Roof leak repair cost generally ranges from $300 to $800, depending on the size and location of the leak, the materials required, and labor intensity. Complex leaks involving structural repairs or interior damage will cost more.
Flat roof repair cost for commercial properties usually ranges from $500 to $3,000, depending on the roofing material (TPO, EPDM, PVC), the extent of the damage, and roof accessibility.
Mobile home roof replacement cost typically ranges from $3,000 to $8,000, making it generally more affordable than traditional home roof replacements, due to smaller size and simpler structure.
It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.
The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.
To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
