Topside were awesome! They got us in when the weather cleared unexpectedly and then did a fantastic job in just 2 days! They also cleaned out our gutters and put in rain diverters at our request. They kept us informed of everything and have excellent prices. You can't go wrong with them!

Definitely a big fan of Topside and specifically want to shout out Todd. I had a window that was compromised and was leaking water into the house whenever it rained. The window was about 30ft off the ground and it needed to be completely removed, a new one installed, and the siding fixed up. Todd and is support guy were fantastic—that man has no fear of heights and knows his craft. Very professional, great to speak with, and cares about his customers and his work quality. Very happy with the end result. I recommend Topside.

I am very happy with the job Topside did. The crew worked from light to dark and kept me informed as to their progress and what they were doing everyday. They were working around bad weather too. Snow, freezing temperatures, and rain.They kept my house covered with tarps so there was no water damage. The cleanup after they were finished was great. I live on a very steep hill, but they still did a very thorough job. I haven't been able to find even a handful of debris they missed. Great job! I would highly recommend them.

This outfit is the best. Excellent customer service, always ready to give a bid in a timely manner (I'm a Realtor, so I've worked with them a bit), have demonstrated expertise in all things roofing, (including the important matter of ventilation), and just always do a top quality job. They will do repairs, and not just on roofs they've installed as is the policy for many companies I've found. The biggest thing though, is that they are always great at communicating with the client about what's going on, what the issues are, and what the options are moving forward. I highly recommend them to all my clients.

Topside was great. They got to us soon after I called when we had water dripping from the ceiling in the kitchen. They were able to diagnose water was getting in via an old skylight, and quickly got me an estimate for replacing it. The costs were reasonable, and when they eventually replaced the skylight, they were in and out super efficiently, doing good work! I'll definitely call them back if we ever have any issues with our roof/etc.

We are extremely happy we chose Topside Roofing & Siding to replace our roof. Brandon Mankle was very thorough in explaining our choices and with the estimate we received. He was upfront in talking to us about "unexpected" costs that might come up (OSB boards, for example), which we appreciated very much. Other companies had that written about that in such small print, that we barely noticed it. We have a large roof, so cost, of course, was of great concern to us. Any time we had questions, Brandon quickly and gladly answered them, either on the phone but most times in person. The crew was great (thank you, Augustine). I can't say enough praises about Brandon. We've used TopSide on two different projects and have found them to be reliable and easy to work with. In the latest job (pics attached) their crew (Allan and his team) did a great job--quality work, respectful of the occupants and environment, and finished on schedule, which was especially important to us. We also appreciated working with their estimator, Duane. We'd highly recommend TopSide, especially Allan and his capable crew.

This was a really horrible experience. The roof ended up costing me twice what the original quote was for but that's not even what I'm upset about. There were dishonest businesses practices at play here. I had told Duane that the corners of my fascia boards were rotting and assumed I had to replace the entire 10 foot board on each corner of my house so I told him I was going to budget an additional $1600 for this. He told me it wouldn't be nearly that much as they could just replace the last few feet of rot and not have to do the entire board. Then, after my roof was entirely ripped off my house, he told me I had 85 feet of rotting fascia board and it would cost almost the exact amount I had originally planned. However the 85 feet of boards were not rotten. So they ended up charging me for 25 feet and actually replacing 15 feet. Why did they have to lie about this? And then they did a terrible job and I had to ask them to come back and fix at least four things, you can see in the picture how the flashing is not overlapping, they had to come back to fix this on two of the four corners. I have zero confidence my roof is installed correctly. They also damaged my deck rails and I have this beautiful cedar ceiling inside that extends to the eaves and they put nails straight through these in numerous places.

Duane and his crew did an excellent job. Left the property in great shape. Very professional. Also had a company, Precision Painting iirc, ready to paint. Would recommend.

Done like they are doing their own house. Owner was very responsive to my questions and requests. He even upgraded my shingle out of his pocket as my choice was delayed. Workers were careful and didn't damage gutters.

Very happy with Topside's performance of our roof replacement. Communication was good about that what was needed and what they provided. Workers and supervisors were very friendly and professional. We chose them because a friend used Topside and recommended them to us. It was a good recommendation and we in turn would also recommend them to others.

Topside did a roof replacement for us 4 years ago, I failed to do a review then.
They did a great job, at a fair price. This month an inspection for real estate sale
showed premature wear on vent pipe boots. Duane at Topside jumped on it
as a warranty issue from parts supplier.
Eddie came out and replaced all vent boots. Thanks Topside!

Topside roofing & siding did a wonderful job. Everyone involved from the owner, office staff, foreman, site foreman, & workers were all exemplary in their communication with me & each other & all parties involved. There was a lot involved, & some changes needed to be made. Also the roof was rotten underneath in an area, & a worker fell through. Thank goodness he was ok. According to their policy it was repaired by them via Precision Painting who was also amazing in getting the repair finished between their own big jobs, & trying to coordinate with my job. The workmanship from both companies was perfect, & done in a very timely fashion. My new roofing is beautiful & worry free for probably the rest of my life. Everyone involved was very professional, friendly, personable, hardworking, & patient in accommodating any clarifications, concerns or questions. I'm very satisfied.Topside is topnotch!!!!

Excellent service with very competent roofers. I appreciated their communication with me regarding the work and their kindness. I would call them again for future needs.

Called to ask why they weren't using lead abatement measures to remove siding on a neighbor's house. When they called me back they said they have owners do lead tests and that they'd check to see if the owner did one. Lead testing is NOT the responsibility of the owner, it is the responsibility of contractor, by a qualified professional, according to law. Surprise, they never called me back, which says to me they knew as well as the whole neighborhood does that the structure was covered with lead-based paint. There are six children, all under the age of five, living on the block. They should be ashamed of what they exposed them all to. I shudder to think what other regulations, designed to protect people from unseen health risks, this company doesn't follow, and how many other projects they've cut corners on. Choose a different company with better - or any - morals, that won't knowingly expose you, your children and your neighbors to poisonous substances. Do not give your hard earned money to a business as unscrupulous as this.

We are very happy with the professional, capable, and friendly crew. They did an excellent job and we would recommend them to anyone looking for quality work.

We have lived in our home for 37 yrs. This is the 2nd roofing job on our roof so we’ve had three roofs to compare. Topside Roofing provided us with an excellent roofing job. Our roof has never looked so professionally done. But that’s not all, the best thing is that, when there was a problem, they were right on it and fixed it to our satisfaction promptly.

We just had the metal roof on our residence on Guemes Island replaced by Topside Roofing. We couldn't be happier with the entire experience. Duane the salesman was professional and knowledgeable. He always was prompt in addressing our concerns, and kept us informed about scheduling issues. The roofers Chad, Donny and Philip truly set the standards for craftmanship, attention to detail and teamwork. Topside Roofing's team did an outstanding job of installing our new roof from start to finish. Luke came to our house and provided a detailed estimate, explaining all our options and let us think about it - without any pressure. Topside wasn't the least expensive ( nor the most expensive) but we selected them based on our experience with Luke and Topside had a great reputation. When it came to installation the guys were respectful, efficient and took the extra time to carefully work around all the plants without damaging a single plant! Once they were done they actually swept around the dumpster to make sure it was all cleaned up before leaving. Luke followed up after the install to make sure everything was up to standard and we were happy. Now that's a quality job! I highly recommend the team at Topside Roofing!

Excellent work. We had them replace our 14 year old roof due to leaks. We chose them because of their reputation AND their GAF certification. The team was on time every day, well managed. It took longer than projected, but they did a fantastic job. This is not the "low price" bidder. You get what you pay for in roofing.

Outstanding job all the way around! My first experience with them began after we had a big windstorm in Whatcom County in 2019. I'd lost a lot of shingles and they were the only company willing to come out and repair my roof right away to avoid any leaks. The gals in the office were very friendly and professional. Unfortunately, a few months later I had another run in with the wind which took more shingles from another area. This time Jon, the manager came out to do the repairs himself. After that, I vowed to use Topside for my roof replacement when the time came. Spring of 2020 was that time. I met with Jon to go over the details. He assured me and my Type A personality that he'd have Allan, one of his long time foremen oversee the job. Allan did not disappoint. He introduced himself and his crew and they were all very courteous and conscientious. After a few days on the job they seemed more like friends than workers. They cleaned up daily and paid great attention to detail. I am extremely happy with the quality of the job and the employee service they exhibited. I would highly recommend Topside Roofing. Definitely a five star company!

After a few years of putting up with a leaky roof, we finally decided to search out a company to re-roof our house. We interviewed 5 contractors and finally chose Topside to do the project. Even though they were the highest bidders (not by a great amount), we chose them because of the product they use, that is GAF. We found this product to be of the highest quality with a great warranty. The roofing materials from other companies were prone to failures, as we have experienced. We felt it was better to pay a little more upfront to prevent having to put out more dollars if the roof failed again. We found the office staff to be easy to work with, and the roof installers to be professional and very hard working. We never had to wonder if they were going to show up. If they were going to be later than expected, we always received a phone call to let us know. They cleaned up and left our property undamaged with very little for us to do. The roof looks gorgeous and we have had many compliments. The house roof was done in May of 2020. Thank you Topside for a job well done!

Addendum: In August of 2021, we had the garage/workshop roof done and, again, they did a marvelous job!

Excellent work. We had wind damage. It turned out that the shingles had factory defect. Topside helped us through the complicated process of getting the shingle company to approve a claim about their product. Very complicated and took many trips out to the house to gather additional information. They did it for us. I'm very pleased with their work. It was quick and they cleaned every speck of debris and hauled it away. The job wasn't cheap but neither was the quality or service. I would use them again and likely will. We always seem to buy houses that need new roofs. Topside did what they promised without delays or excuses. My only concern was they didnt offer all the options (underlayment) at time of bid. They offered special upgrade underlayment when they pulled the roof off and found the shingles had been put on with too much pressure in the nail gun which resulted in the nail penetrating the shingle and allowed water to reach the plywood. 83 sheets of plywood later it was done. I hope this time we got a good batch of shingles. Top side was great. Original roof was by rainshield and for many reasons I wont use them again. Yes to topside! Thanks for such attention to detail and great customer service.

Hi, Our condo association has a problem with our roof on one of our units. It has a leak and we felt the shingles were not of top quality as they are a 30 year roof and we are only about half way into our installation. We went back to Topside Roofing Inc, they instructed us what needed to be done. They thought the shingle company had some inferior batches of shingles. They said for a nominal fee they would come and take 4 shingles off and replace them with 4. They would package them up and we could send them into the shingle company so they could check the quality of their shingles and see if they are inferior and maybe send us new shingles. We sat down with Jon and Paul in their office and got things worked out in an amicable and professional manner. I appreciate the manner in which they have handled our situation.
I would recommend Topside Roofing to anyone and I thank them for their direction in handling our concerns and roof.

Had my entire roof redone in 2019. The crew was exceptionally tidy. They took great care to pick up debris and lost nails. I appreciated this as I have kids who play in the yard.

We had an awful experience with this company. They are pushy and their sales tactics are abrasive. Like dealing with sleazy car salesman that won’t leave you alone! Called a million times! They try to give you low prices first only to then later lure you in with added costs. They will try to sell you everything! Roof...windows...siding, gutters, deck, painting....anything they can get you to agree on. Make sure you get a second opinion most of the time they will try to sell you on something that doesn’t even need to be replaced. Wish there was more honest companies out there.

In the span of less than a year, I have hired Topside to perform two roof installs. The first was on a house I intended to sell and the second was on a house I intend to live in for a long time. In both cases, Topside had roofing solutions that fit my different budgets. Their quality is great and their customer service is some of the best I have experienced. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Topside Roofing and Siding.

My roof started leaking at night, I called Topside the next morning and Jon came out and had it repaired. Super good service!!! We decided to replace the whole roof eventually, Jon and the crew kept us updated the whole time with detailed info and pictures of damage to our old roof. Highly recommend Topside!

I’m building a beautiful home on the ocean in Blaine Wa. After talking with several local roofing companies, I found the response, attention and service to be far superior to the competition. I was very happy with the quality of the work and Johns attention to detail on a complicated project. Good job guys. I’m impressed !

This is not an honest company. The work crew is ok, but the management will take any opportunity to screw you with with extra charges. Watch out for innacurate estimates of the time required, and don't sign anything unless they guarantee an acceptable fixed price for the whole job. It helps if you or someone you know has an idea of how much work is required. If you sign off before finding out, you will get screwed 7 ways 'til sunday.

I wanted to give it a year before I published a review, so there was time to calm down and see how the roof would hold up.

The general contractor, Jon, is a bully. He is really good at making everything seem like it is either your fault, or you’re stupid. About the only thing he is good at is being completely condescending and arrogantly dismissive of any concerns/questions.... Even though that’s his job. My $6K roof turned out to be $12K... Granted I had a lot of rot. Jon is great at making sure you feel like there aren’t any options or ways to work with you.

The crew was very nice, but they left debris, trash, and nails in the driveway, thrown all over the yard. My neighbors sure loved that and thanks for the tires I had to buy (another -$1,000).

Lastly, my skylight has been leaking, and has condensation, and also has a crack since they started the roof. No, I didn’t call them to come fix that. Also, shingles have come off with typical winter weather. Nope; did not call them for that either; DO NOT want to do business with Topside ever again.

The general contractor, overall poor customer service, and the entire experience: I would rather pay cash to someone who actually knows what they are doing. Or just have the skylight and shingles to all fall on me.

Shop around for a better roofing company. This isn’t it. I wish I had, one year, one broken skylight and -$13,000+ later.

The technicians were very professional and did a amazing job installation our new room. After completing they did a greay job cleaning up up our yard. I would recommend this company to any of my friends who are needing a new roof installed.
