We had a sliding glass door and a large kitchen window replaced by Thompson Creek. All on-site representatives and workers were professional and thorough. The quality of materials and work was excellent for both. However, for the window we were not happy with the style of the window due to a misunderstanding between us and the project representative about what we wanted. After some follow up conversations we were pleased that they honored their guarantee and were willing to remove and replace the window with a different style to our full satisfaction at no additional cost.
However, I cannot give them 5 stars because the communication with Thompson Creek is abysmal. I have been trying to pay the final invoice on our project for almost three weeks, leaving multiple emails and callback requests with their project service department, and no one answers or responds.
Extremely disappointed. Please feel free to look up my account with Chante and reach out to me personally.
Salesman Gary showed me the 7900 double hung window, we talked about how much i loved it for about 30-35 minutes, from how the locks are built into the window, with the rotating lever that goes into the frame, and no more tabs on the left and right to pull the window out, that feature was built into the lock.
myself and the salesman Gary went back inside and he said i have 2 choices to make now. grid or no grid, i explained i wanted no grid. he then said do you want double or single hung. i asked the difference, he explained the doulbe hung means 2 windows that open from top and bottom, vs single hung, only 1 window opens from the bottom. i said oh i dont need 2 the single hung will be fine, he said great thats about 20% less than the double hung anyways and thats the only difference. i said great and signed the contract.
The day the windows got there, i inspected the windows and pointed out the locks were not what i was shown, After waiting a month and a half for the windows and the company already having 12K out of my pocket before even arriving, i told them to install them.
Every single window has a defect from the factory, ontop of every screen being made too big to take out also.
When dave returned to my home to inspect what i was talking about, he was very rude, talked over me numerous times when pointing out the problem areas and telling me it wasnt a issue. for 14 thousand dolalrs and the promise from every employee of "quality" that is what i expect. QUALITY is not what i received.
I pointed out to dave the locks werent what i was shown and told i was buying. You guys are standing behind the "well the contract". I understand "well the contract" but i also understand that i have been duped. Bait and switched. it has been over a week and a half and dave is still yet to upload his 2nd trip to my home along with any notes, or pictures he has taken.

You requesting 90% of the money upfront is criminal when youre not providing the service youre promising. i expressed my concerns with paying the majority upfront which continued to get blown over. This is the exact reason i did not want to give you my money before seeing everything.
*Different issue*
While waiting for everyone to have a meeting about my project, i was told the meeting would be on Thursday May 2nd 2024. the meeting was not held until the following Wednesday on May 8th. Where again i was told "well the contract". i was also informed the salesman was asked about what he showed vs told and sold me, yet he "doesnt recall that day". Of course the salesman isnt going to admit to messing up. hes not going to give that commission back and in no way benefits him to admit his mistake. AND to ask me to pay the remaining 10% when things are still messed up is extremely shocking.
Extremely disappointed. i am willing to change my review given things are corrected
What a mess.
Purchased 2 doors and an extra lock set. The day after measuring I realized we needed a deadbolt and not just the door knob. 20 days later, I had zero answer about getting the marching deadbolt despite several contacts on my part. Zalika was my project manager and she never got back to me about anything ever.
On install day I was given an 8 am time frame for arrival and was told it was a full day job through 4pm. By 11 no one had shown up. I called for an update and was told my job wasn't supposed to start until 12-4. Upon arrival the crew immediately got to work. They removed my old doors and them unwrapped the new doors. Upon installing the new doors, the crew discovered BOTH doors were damaged. They had to complete installing them because my old doors were ripped out.
The doors were damaged from the Provia factory. I do agree that one of them came from the factory like that (frame was cracked on the interior) but unsure of the other. How come no one at either Provia or Thompson Creek did a quality check before ever bringing these to my home?
Supervisor arrived and assessed the situation. He reordered the doors and promised to make things right. He said I would be hearing from Zalika and from a manager about the situation. It has been over 48 hours and I have yet to hear anything from anyone.
Pros: the salesperson Gary gave an excellent presentation. Norman the Supervisor was very knowledgeable and friendly. The install crew was very cordial and honest. The head installer was the one to point out the damage.
