We went with a Terra Cotta smooth aluminum shingle roof for our green bungalow and are really happy with the result. The roofers were able to install the new roof over the existing roof, saving money. It went up in a couple days with only two workers. While the up-front cost of a metal roof is higher than a composition roof, we liked the fact that we won't have to re-roof again. We plan on owning this house for a long time, so paying a higher cost once was more appealing to us than paying for a new comp roof every 15-20 years.

The shingles we installed on our roof look amazing, we are getting compliments from people just walking by. I love the look and color (aluminum tile charcoal gray), and the many colors and roof tile designs will satisfy and picky homeowner. I love the fact that it is 1/4 the weight of asphalt tile so the walls will have less strain on them, and that it will keep the attic cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Overall, the install work was fantastic, the cleanup work excellent, and the final product makes the house look brand new. I highly recommend this roof tile for any new or old project!

Mountaintop Metal Roofing installed Perma Lock aluminum shingles on our house and detached garage. We are pleased with their appearance and performance. We decided on the aluminum shingles due to the high levels of rain and aggressive moss in the PNW.

When we discovered an issue with our existing asphalt roof, we contacted our local installer, Josh, and his crew immediately completed a stop-gap measure. The aluminum shingles installed on our house look amazing. Alters the look of the whole house that was built in 1850's. They fit so seamlessly together with the chimney "cuffs". The changing weather we have had highlight the efficiency of the roof from the snow cascading off the roof without human intervention to flood inducing rainfall all within a short period of time. The downside - now have to paint the house! Thank you!

I love the looks of my new Perma Lock aluminum roof and so do all of my neighbors. Looks like shingles, but performs like metal. The entire process from sales to installation was exceptional. The roof is everything that was stated during the sales presentation. I was a bit skeptical about the savings in cooling, but the past week we have consistently had sun and hot weather (temps in the upper 80s), here in Vermont. With my asphalt roof, I would have been running my AC, but with the Perma Lock roof, the inside of my house hasn't been above 75, absolutely amazing!!! After weighing all the pros and cons, I bought this roof as an investment in my house, vs just another maintenance project, that would again need replacement in the future.
Also, you're not going to find another roof that offers a non-prorated lifetime warranty.

After 25 yrs we decided the asbestos roof on our NH vacation home needed replacing. After much research and a handful of estimates we chose East Coast Roofing and the slate gray/black aluminum shingles. While they were the most expensive we liked their product best and the entire sales process was handled most professionally. Since we were not able to be there during the old roof removal and new roof installation, they agreed to keep us ‘involved’ with daily updates and plenty of photos. So many photos that we really felt like we were there. The job was done as promised and along the promised timeline. QC efforts were consistent and excellent, and the final product shows it. We are very happy with the end result.

We recently had East Coast Roofing install an aluminum shingle roof on our house and garage in Fairfield, Vermont. From the very start, they were nothing but professional and accommodating from signing of the contract through the final inspection. They even moved our project start date forward two weeks to accommodate our schedule. Everything Patric and Jon said would happen, happened, which was a huge relief.

We have solar panels and Jon was able to refer us to Zeb at Solar Power Vermont who provided us with a very reasonable price to remove and then re-install our panels. Zeb was able to accommodate the roof installation project timeline, reducing our days with no solar generation to a minimum of 11 days.

When the ECR Crew arrived each day, they were on the roof in less than 10 minutes. They worked up to 12 hours with just one midday break. They were amazing! Our neighbors even commented on how hard the ECR Crew worked and how nice our new roofs look. We love our new solar-powered roof window, which was another part of the project that the ECR Crew did in an exceptional manner.

There was one small roof that ECR could not shingle (a structural problem, not an ECR problem) that we had been charged for in the Contract. They provided us with an appropriate credit.

We are so very happy that we chose to hire ECR for this very important project. We could not have asked for a better experience and would whole-heartedly recommend them.

We just had our original roof replaced with a Perma Lock aluminum shingles from Aluminum Shingle Company. We contracted with Mountaintop Metal Roofing out of Portland, Oregon, to do the installation. We just had our roof done with this amazing product. It just made sense to invest in these aluminum interlocking shingles rather than continuing to repair lost asphalt shingles every time the Vermont winds blew through our Green Mountain Valley. It's great to know that East Coast Metal Roofing uses the Aluminum Shingle Co. for their products. From the time I was presented with the sample, reviewed my choices, and given time to decide, I knew this was the metal shingle for my home. I'm already getting complements on the new roof and believe it was the right choice for me.

Our home sustained hail damage in 2023. We initiated the process to replace our asphalt roof for the third time in less than 30 years. In addition, we were experiencing significant asphalt shingle stone loss that was plugging the gutter guards and filling the gutters with grit. We also had issues where rain would roll off the roof past the gutters due to the fact that the asphalt shingles hung over the edge of the roof partially covering the gutters. There had to be a better roof than another asphalt roof. We had picked up a Permalock brochure from the Home and Flower Show several years ago. We reached out to the Aluminum Shingle Company for a local contractor in the Columbus, Ohio area. The same day we were contacted by Forever Metal Shingles from Pittsburgh, PA. We found the owner to be honest, upfront with his pricing and very responsive to our issues, questions and concerns. The owner visited our home, helped to select colors and style of shingle for our home and within a short time, we had a contract for a new Permalock Aluminum Shingle roof along with new six-inch gutters, gutter guards and new downspouts. It took a couple of weeks for materials to arrive and then Forever Metal Shingles delivered a small trailer with all the roof materials for our home. As soon as the crew finished their current project, we were next to have our roof installed. Based upon many recommendations, we elected to install the new roof over our existing asphalt roof to avoid all the demolition. The crew arrived on time every day and work until dark. The crew are true craftsmen. They understood the product and how to install it properly and securely. The crew address the gutter issues we were experiencing, as we now have a full six-inch gutter opening that are properly hung. Upon completion of the work the crew of five men did an excellent job of cleaning the property of asphalt shingles, metal shingles and nails. The owner of Forever Metal Shingles arrived the same day to retrieve the trailer and inspect the property to ensure the job was completed to our satisfaction and the site was clean. It took seven days to complete our roof. Our home looks beautiful and the neighbors are impressed. We feel we will be setting the trend in Dublin, Ohio. We highly recommend Forever Metal Shingles and their crews along with the Aluminum Shingle Company. We should never need to replace our roof again.

We love our new aluminum shingles from the Aluminum Shingle Company. We have the charcoal embossed shingles and they look amazing and paired perfectly with the grey PVC we had installed on a flat section of our roof. We chose shingles from the Aluminum Shingle Company for our forever home because of the lifetime warranty, and the fact that aluminum shingles are more durable and long lasting and will protect our home in the rain and snow we get in Massachusetts. We recently contracted East Coast Metal Roofing to replace our aging shingle roof with Permalock roofing from The Aluminum Shingle Company. We were looking for a one and done solution, which we have truly achieved. ECMR customer-first approach was exceptional from start to finish. Within minutes of our inquiry, Caitrin called to help us begin to understand materials, services, what to expect and to schedule our inspection. Two days before our appointment we were contacted to confirm it remained convenient for our schedules. Dave Harrison confirmed we were close to needing to replace our roof, clearly explained the Permalock product and provided our quote. During inspection he identified and provided a solution for a venting issue. Without pressure, Dave provided his best quote and made it easy for us to instantaneously decide to move forward with replacement of our roof. Even though we chose a custom ordered product, it was delivered within two weeks. Our project was started within three weeks and complete in a few days (even though the roof was completely stripped, and we had a week of inclement weather during our project). I needed a portion of my roof replaced and decided to replace the entire roof. I have been hearing about East Coast Metal Roofing for many years and decided I wanted a metal roof. Taft came over and showed the product and explained the process in detail. I was warned the roof would be expensive but I realized this would be the last roof I would ever need so the cost over time could be justified. Once the contracts were signed the product was ordered and within 2 weeks the work started. The workers were very hard working and after the first day the entire roof had been stripped. The workers were here early in the morning until dusk. They were very professional and worked very quickly. My roof was done within a week and looks fabulous. I love the roof and think it's the best in the neighborhood. I also had some minor problems which were addressed immediately and the company was amenable to fixing them. I would definitely recommend this company.

Although replacing our asphalt roof was costly we will have piece of mind of their lifetime backed warranty. Like I said costly but worth every penny. When we needed to replace our leaking roof, we wanted to go with metal, assuming it was little to no maintenance, but thinking we would have to go with the long metal roofing sheets. This is the manufacturer's review. I didn't deal with the manufacturer other than them referring me to a local utah contractor for installation. So, this review will be for the product only. Our roof is a bit complicated. I had several bids on asphalt shingle that were between 22k to 26k for both 30 and 50 year shingles. Since my current 30 year shingle only looked good for 8 years and were in very bad shape at 18 years I did not trust asphalt shingles on my roof. Since all the installers said 30 year asphault shingles only last about 20 years and 50 year shingles only last about 30 years I felt we should look to metal. I looked into steel roofs which still rust and were around 100k to install. I then looked into aluminum roofs. We had a guy come out to show us some that had the same gravel/sand that asphalt shingles had. They looked hoky and our bid was over 100k. Then I found these. I really liked the colors, design and textures. The product was a good thickness which I worried about. They are not noisy in the rain. The engineering of the locking system looks sound.
We spent around 50k on the roof. They have been on for a couple of months now.

We're loving the vibe of the last roof we'll ever put on our roof! We got the black embossed shingles. Our roof order was assembled and delivered really quickly. East Coast Metal Roofing installed it and it looks amazing! It's too bad we're going to cover up a bunch of it with solar, but there's plenty of detail work to make our neighbors jealous.

Every time I called, someone was there to answer, or I caot a call back promptly. I expressed concern about my driveway and the installers took great care tarping off, like I have never seen before. When it became time to replace our leaking roof, I wanted to go with metal because I am afraid of heights. And I understand metal has little or no maintenance.
I thought I would have to go with the long rolled roofing material to get a metal roof. Until I found Aluminum Shingle Company. They have a roofing material that looks like regular shingles and will last a very long time.
A regular roof would have lasted until Mary and I are gone. But I wanted the roof to be good for our kids.
We now have the best looking roof in the neighborhood.

We are so happy that our roofing company used this company in this product! My mother had aluminum shingles on her house for 50 years. When it came time to replace it, we wanted to use the same material because we’ve been so impressed with the longevity. We hired Mountaintop metal Roofing company to do the installation, and they found these terrific Permalock shingles through aluminum shingle company. They fit beautifully, and the roof looks like a million bucks. It’s shiny and looks amazing! Aluminum shingles are so terrific, they keep heat in during the winter and cold out in the summer, and everyone who sees it gives us compliments. Great company. The information provided was very clear. The products look great on the roof. I installed aluminum smooth shingles in my house in Edmonton. The material came on time and the communication was clear. I recommend installing your roof with this material, it is durable and has a great curb appeal.

Description of Work
1) Removed one layer of existing shingles and replaced it with 27 square of Lifetime PermaLock Embossed Driftwood Cedar aluminum shingles.
2) Installed breathable ice and water shield over the entire roof, up all eaves, all valleys, around the center chimney and flat roof porch.
3) Installed rubber/PVC low slope light tan synthetic underlayment roofing over the reframed extended low slope porch roof.
4) Installed all new aluminum trim flashing with accessories (Gable, Drip edge, Chimney Collar Flashing, Valley Flashing, Pipe Boots, Continuous Ridge vents and Snow Guards.
5) Replaced a custom 48x60 kitchen skylight.
6) Removed the master bathroom skylight.
7) Hauled away all previous roofing debris and paid refuse fees.
8) Applied and completed every facet of town-required building permit.

We had been contemplating replacing our asphalt shingle roof with a metal one for some time. Sergei especially and George their product specialists were thoroughly knowledgeable about the product, answering questions, anticipating issues before or when they arose, coordinating delivers and material shortages, providing explanations, and systematically supervising the installation. Mike Kromm was on site when needed and acting as the overall quality control rep and as expected was very responsive to my periodic questions and concerns. He communicated with me through the entire installation either telephonically or in person. My wife and I love our new forever metal roof. Sure, we had suspicions about installing a metal roof. Those doubts quickly vanished when I had my initial phone conversation with with East Coast Metal Roofing (ECMR) representative Anita. She guided me through the process. She even emailed me a dozen nearby properties that had recently used your products and ECMR as their installers and Anita recommended that we do a drive by...which we did. We then had a face-to-face meeting with field/sales rep Chris. He was so knowledgeable about your product. He showed samples of the material, photos... even videos of previous jobs done by ECMR. The factory-trained crew members were neat and professional. The quality control specialist Keith was on-site every day to ensure that any and all of my questions or concerns were addressed.

Absolute perfect experience from beginning to end. I am so happy I decided to go with ECMR for my new roof. Yes, it cost a bit more but not that much more than a traditional asphalt roof.

Replaced an old asphalt roof with this product. I wanted to use sustainable materials. This roof will last longer. It looks really great and neighbors have noticed and commented. Price is high, but you get twice the amount of time out of this roof.

Delmarva Metal Roofing did a fantastic job on repairing and replacing our old roofing with Perma Lock aluminum shingles. It turned out better than we could have imagined. They were very responsive to our needs. They cleaned up after the job and then went on to replace our next door neighbor's roof too.

It would please me to know that more folks convert their roofs to metal as well.

Brandon went out of his way to make sure we understood everything about the Perma Lock aluminum shingle. He even helped with the financing as we had a few gliches but he was right there to make sure things worked out. Living in New England the weather changes from day to day if not hour to hour. We liked that the roof could be installed in the middle of winter and of course Mother Nature produced a storm, actually a blizzard, the day after the roof was completed! There was so much snow and after all was said and done, no snow was on my roof! It all slid off, of course it was loud, sounded like an avalanche so we were kind of all excited to see it happen. As for the rain, we thought it would be louder being a metal roof, but it was no than our asphalt roof. I'm glad that we saw the presentation at the Big E (Eastern States Exposition), if it wasn't for that presentation, we wouldn't have the best roof out there!

One thing that was my fault was not Calling directv ahead of time to move and then reinstall the satellite dish so that is one tip to think of in advance.

I will admit that I was a bit nervous about having aluminum shingles installed on our antique (more than 200 years old) colonial. That being said, I cannot overstate how impressed I am with the finished product. First, the product itself is a closed system, ensuring that the driving rains that used to cause leaks will no longer worry me, and the standing snow that resulted in ice dams and icicles will quickly melt away. Second, the installation was so fast and efficient: from stripping off the old roof to finishing clean-up was less than three days! Finally, the biggest worry initially: the look. Wow, was I wrong to be nervous! We chose the charcoal color and slate appearance and it looks so natural and fitting on our home. Our only uneasy feeling about it now is why we didn't get this years sooner (especially given the amazing warrantee that ensures we won't need to worry about it ever again). I cannot recommend this product enough!

We recently purchased Aluminum Shingles through Glenn Boss with Mountaintop Metal Roofing out of Portland, OR, who we highly recommend. The aluminum shingles are much more visually appealing than your typical metal roof. Over the last week we have had unusually high winds for our area, with our house being located on the top of a mountain, and the roof held up great!

Work by authorized installer was done well - it took about 7 days to install, which is longer than a traditional roof, but included new gutters. If I'm in the attic and it's raining, it's pretty loud on the shingles, otherwise not bad, and I'm so grateful everything falling from the trees is not growing moss on the shingles.
