Steve's report was incredibly through and he was extremely transparent about what he was unable to inspect. Beyond the report, Steve himself was willing to explain the items he flagged and easily rattled off his top concerns when asked--it gave me confidence as a first time buyer that I knew the scope of the work potentially in front of me. Further, Steve fit us in quickly when we needed it and didn't seem rushed when it came to talking us through some items at the end of a long day.

Steve is very detailed. Takes the time to show you items that he sees as well as listen to items that you find. Very clean and organized. Cleans up after himself if he has to go through dirt. Does not rush. Very quick to send you the final report and is very detailed in the final report.

I'd highly recommend Steve to anyone looking for a home inspection. I could not fathom buying a new home without an inspection and Steve's thoroughness and openness was just what I was looking for. He provided much feedback during the inspection and his follow-up report had outstanding detail with tons of photos. Well worth the cost. Based on his inspection, we had two major issues remediated including a crawlspace encapsulation. When I had some concern on the effectiveness of the encapsulation after heavy rain, we called Steve and he stopped by the house within a day or two to evaluate the work that had been done by another contractor. We found his care for his work and his customers genuine.

Great experience! Steve was flexible when our closing dates shifted. He was always responsive leading up to the inspection. For the inspection he was extremely thorough, leave no sink un-run, gutter unchecked, or crawl space I crawled. He is extremely knowledgeable about different eras of houses and he explained thing in a way that never made me confused (or feel dumb) for not being construction savvy.His report was super easy to follow and super prompt. You will never find someone who is better at or takes more pride in their job.

I consider Steve to be the area "master level" home inspector and he's been my choice for many years. He's been worth his weight in gold in saving me from missed opportunities when selling a property as well as identifying issues with potential purchases. I know him to honest and trustworthy.

Equally important is his emotional intelligence in explanations and reports (verbal and written) as he is factual and avoids histrionics. An inspector can do an A1 job inspecting a property, but if they are unable to effectively communicate the findings it is worthless. His reports are invaluable. Steve provided a very thorough home inspection for the home that we purchased. There were many photos to document his findings. We thought that the price for the inspection was very fair considering the amount of work that he did. He provided the report the next day! It turned out that the report proved invaluable when we had various repairs done based on his report. It was like having a disinterested unbiased person guiding the work to be done so we knew what to expect ahead of time when dealing we the repair people.
