We had an electrical emergency after hours. Stew’s picked up the phone on the first ring and were so friendly and personable! He was so calm and knowledgeable and was able to walk us through exactly what we needed to do to prevent a fire and dispatched an emergency crew to us so quickly. They went above and beyond when they were there looking for a cause and finding a resolution. We will be using them for all of our electrical needs from this day forward. We cannot recommend them enough. Thank you Stew’s!

Bill came out to our apartment at 7:45 pm because we had a possible electrical fire or the beginnings of one. He found the problem and provided an immediate solution. I had an electrical panel upgraded. And added separate circuit for appliances. Outside outlets, 220 in the laundry room. Replaced outside box added surge protector. This house will last another 100 years.
Stew's did an impressive amount of work for the price. Cameras will be coming soon. I'm happy, my house is happier. The City inspector said they did a great job. For the age of this house, that is saying a lot.

I needed a dedicated outlet and breaker for a washer dryer combo. I called and spoke to a very nice lady and she had one of their electricians (Caleb) at my house within an hour. Caleb completed the job in an 1.5 hrs. I have worked many years in the construction trades and I can say that not many people move as fast and efficiently as Caleb. Great job too!

In less than a business day I went from electrical emergency to fine and dandy. I'm legitimately incredibly impressed with the service and integrity of the entire team. Every person I spoke to - all the way to the owner took my emergency personally. I cannot recommend them enough. 10/5 stars.

Was able to fit my project in a day earlier than scheduled, quickly replaced problem fixture and put in a new one along with 2 upgrades. Will definitely use for future projects.

Very pleased with Stew's Electric & Lighting on their recent service call, the issue was resolved promply by their staff. Both the field staff and office staff answered all our questions promply to our satisfaction. We are new to the Fairbanks area and often rely on word of mouth recommendations from other contractors, local vendors as well as our own research.

Called in at 430 with a rather specific issue. The tech was really patient & understanding & Even with the roads in very bad condition from freezing rain they were willing to come take a look, however we tried our best to avoid that(roads are insanely bad at this time) we’re glad that he put forth the effort over the phone to help us avoid an emergency callout, as we just purchased the home. Most won’t even try to talk about what might be going on. I wish I remembered the guys name but he knows who he is! My family appreciates your professionalism & knowledge & we are glad to know we have an electrician that we will be using when the time comes, & when inevitable future needs arise.

Top notch electric contractor that provides services in the fairbanks area and remote Alaska. They have performed work all across Alaska for me.

We can’t say enough about Bill and his team at Stew’s Electric! They did amazing work removing an ancient wood stove and left the site cleaner than before. Then they took our very old home and updated the electric work, and set up a generator. They were great fun to work with, answered endless questions, and responded quickly to texts and calls. We couldn’t be happier with the great service they provided while completing this project.

We have received service from both Bill and Larson this week, and they did exceptional jobs! Both are friendly and even taught us a few things about our new home:) 10/10 recommend.

Professional communication on site. Went through the small outlet project taking video and photos of request for about 25 minutes. Was surprised later with a $195 estimate charge later though. No communication of this before. Spent 30 minutes on their site later to locate the estimate fee statement. Would have been nice to know beforehand. Went with another certified electrician company 40% of their estimate cost and 1/3 time.

Responce to my request for advice on an ice damning probem on my roof was quick and the advice for solving the problem was right on. Strongly endorse this company.

Larsen and associates installed my wonderful new propane generator so I will have electricity when the power fails. It was wonderful to work again with the great people to installed my gas generator earlier. The propane generator works independently and doesn't require my extensive personal attention.

Larsen and crew came out for a service call after my chandelier fell from my ceiling. They had exceptional communication, did good work, and I'm very happy with the service that I received.

I wanted to have my furnace re-wired so it could be plugged into a generator if needed. I was easily able to book an appointment online for only a week out. Caleb showed up promptly and suggested a better way to do what I wanted and within 2 hours I had a new transfer box installed and work was complete. Both the owner Bill and the electrician Caleb were super nice and a pleasure to work with.

Had a great experience with Stew’s electric! Had to move and fix some corroded wiring in our lift station and they did a great job! Easy to communicate with, excellent customer service, and they have an easy booking process. Bob and Bill both took the time to answer all of my many questions and explain things beyond the issue at hand! They were prompt to fix the problem and get us up and running again! Will for sure book Stew’s electric for all future electrical needs!!

We woke up to no electricity to our freezer and furnace, and no lights. Stew’s Electric came out immediately and diagnosed the problem. They were professional and efficient. Great experience with getting an issue with my headbolts fixed. Stew's electrician showed up on time, was friendly, and listened as I explained the ongoing issue I had had for years. They got right to the bottom of my problem and fixed it quickly and under the estimated cost.

We hired Stews Electric several years ago to do our electrical work on our home. Bill has been a shining example of customer service since, even when we weren't ready or encountered other delays. We have seen his business grow since then but continue to experience such great service we couldn't imagine going anywhere else. Bill is always personable and communicative, making sure we understand what he is doing, what any issues there may be as well as making sure our questions are answered. He never fails to make sure we are satisfied with the job before he leaves. This same level of service carries over to his employees, everyone !!

I want to say thank you to Bill and his crew, for the very friendly professional service I experienced today. My service panel had a melt down which caused my power to go out. After calling a few electric companies and only getting their voice mails, Stew's Electric was my 4th call, Bill answered and asked about my electrical situation, after a few mins on the phone, he said he'll send his crew out to my house. Once his crew arrived, they greeted me and checked out what was wrong, they said I needed a new service panel (I was worried that it would be days if not weeks to get onto their schedule), to my surprise, they were able to do the repairs same day!! Bill's crew kept me informed with updates of the progress. Definitely a piece of mind, being at work and not having to worry about anything, knowing that my house is in good hands!

totally professional got the job done well ! no wasting time they were busy every minute ! Also, took photos of the service they were to upgrade and came with the right configuration without any parts runs.

Stew’s Electric was absolutely phenomenal. They helped me fix some major safety issues with my panel in a new home as well as did a meticulously perfect job hanging an unconventional artistic light fixture. Not only was their skill top notch, they educated me on a few “need to knows” about my new house, as well as provided a lot of laughs with their pleasant demeanor and fun dynamic. Competence, quality and friendliness. That’s what you can expect.

This is a GREAT family business. Working with this company was one of the best experiences we have had. They hooked our off the grid power system up to being fully on the grid and updated the current back up power system. They installed 5 electric baseboards. They were easy to work with and professional. They power vacuumed any dust they created and cleaned up nicely after their work. Our new power system is working great! We can use the grid, solar, or generator. I highly recommend using Stew’s Electric.

I highly recommend Stew's Electric. Our electric meter was damaged so our house lost power. Within 24 hours Bill sent a crew member to our home, assessed the situation, and fixed it. Before fixing the issue, Bill called to explain the steps his team would take to fix the meter. I appreciated that he took the time to explain everything and answered all my questions. The meter required a re-service through GVEA which Bill coordinated. Our meter has been upgraded and fixed to a quality much higher than it originally was. The customer service was excellent and he will be the first one I call when I need an electrician.

I waited to post to confirm thoughts and review notes of the situation. After pondering, I concluded to proceed with 1 star.

1) Made promises that he did not keep.
2) Talked down to and about my wife.
3) Stated anyone that shops at Lowes or Home Depot for materials are not real contractors, just home amauter Mr. Fixit. 4) Took almost 9 months.
5) Left job before completing work. I could go on... but moving on from the experience.

I would recommend utilizing someone else.

It is interesting that the folks who 5 starred this business... many have less than three reviews. SHADY!
