When it was time to pick our countertops for our new home Spectrum Stone Designs was the perfect place to go. Their showroom has many design ideas, making it easier to imagine them in our own home. There was also a wide selection of granite to choose from on their lot. Page, who I believe is the owner, was a great help, giving us a tour of the showroom and the outside where all the slabs of stone are kept. In the couple of months since making that selection, I’ve wanted to “visit” our slab with different samples of other items for our home. On those visits Sally happened to help us. She was terrific, never being put out by our visit, and always personable, enjoying watching us pair our flooring and cabinet samples with the stone, encouraging us to be even more excited about our selections. I've had my granite countertops for about two years now.. and I regret choosing this company every day I look at them.
When we first looked at the slabs in the yard, we fell in love with a beautiful river rock that had all our favorite colors - blues creams grays and taupe. We were sold immediately.
We had our measurements with us. Everything, according to the sales clerks, was a green light. Then the measurement guy came out. He said we would have too many seams and talked me out of it. I had to, by myself, go back to the drawing board and find something else. I called to let the sales clerks know I was on the way since it was an hour before closing. Great. Come on. Well, I get there and it's a literal ghost town. Everyone had vanished. For a half hour! No one! Finally a guy that works in the warehouse came and helped me find something else. There was nothing even close to what we had originally picked out. So he suggested the black leathered granite. At this point, I was pretty done in by the whole process. It was a completely different look than what we were going for. I should have just left and gone somewhere else. But we went with the black leathered granite. They installed it - they completely forgot the sink I had special ordered and had sent to them so I ended up with a different sink also. They threw in a wire protector for their mistake. Forget what is called. Anyway, after all is said and done, my kitchen is not what I wanted. The professionalism in the sales team was clearly lacking. In fact, I would go as far as to say, they talked me out of the original one we had chosen to sell it to a repeat customer such as a contractor? Why else would they talk me out of it and then not be there to help me find a new countertop? So disappointed. Our next home we will be purchasing from a more reputable company. Which will be in the next two years.

Had new countertops installed. Not only did they deliver 100%. But they did so with such an awesome crew. Sally, John, Heather, Rondell and Francisco it was a great experience working with each one of y’all from start to finish. Thanks !!!

The professionals at Spectrum Stone were perfect. They took all the time we needed to look around, explain pricing and walked us through all the options. We picked a stone and they wanted us to come back and verify that that’s what we want when they actually shipped in. We decided we did not want it because that batch was different than the one we looked at and we picked another stone.

They are very patient and did a great job on installation. I’d buy from them again that’s for sure.

I can’t say enough good about Spectrum Stone Designs. I am so happy with my new countertops. The installers were so nice and polite. The installation was done in no time. They also leave a Thank you bag and a stone of your countertop to use as a cutting board or simply putting something hot on top. I definitely recommend this company for your next project.

We recently purchased a countertop from Spectrum Stone Design. From the start of the project thru completion everyone involved was extremely helpful. We highly recommend them for any countertops you might need in the future.

Quality, pricing and customer service were fantastic. We originally priced through Lowe’s for granite counter tops and saved over $1k at Spectrum.
The ladies in the office made everything so easy and Sally went out of her way and helped us after hours when we showed up at closing not realizing what time they closed.

The installation crew did a fantastic job installing our new quartz kitchen counter and sink. I would recommend them to anyone needing new counters.

First class all the way from selection, communication, scheduling and delivery! John and Desmond did a wonderful job, even with house guests in the kitchen.

We are very happy! We damaged our original vanity top. We took it to them to use as a template for a quartz top. The one they made was perfect! The staff were very nice and knowledgeable.

From start to finish they did exactly what they said they would do.
Our kitchen countertops turned out beautiful.They did a great Job all around.
During installation ,there was damage to our floor and they quickly made good on that also.
We didn’t even look anywhere else for an estimate. You don’t have to either!!!

If you’re in central VA , look no further than Spectrum. They were prompt in their initial design for us, they were upfront and reasonable with our anticipated timeline, they have a great selection, and their prices are fair. They bent over backwards to make sure my wife had her countertops in time for Christmas. The folks that measure and do installation were superb. Communication was exceptional and they show up when they say they’ll be there. We couldn’t be happier with the whole experience, start to finish.

I absolutely love my counter tops! I love to support local businesses. There is a great selection and everyone was very helpful. I went on a very busy Saturday to look at my options. The owner was very helpful in helping me pick something I would love. Highly recommend!

Ordered a quartz countertop for a bathroom vanity cabinet, and was extremely dissatisfied. Took the vanity cabinet to them because the bathroom corner it was built to fit was not square, so the the cabinet was left with them so the top could be cut to fit the cabinet, but it was not. Also, the sink was not installed in the top centered with the cabinet doors opening, it was installed offset towards the wall end of the cabinet. Very dissatisfied and very poor quality work.

Very rude sales persons- definitely lacking in salesmanship. We were ready to buy- both salespeople treated my husband and I like we were bothering them, like our questions were ridiculous- we both just left very frustrated. Found slabs we loved, but don’t want to deal with them. Will be taking our business elsewhere.

Great folks to work with. They offer good advice, and are very flexible and will accommodate any requests. We had 2 shower niches made and a vanity for our remodeled baths (click on "photos" above). All turned out great!

I am so happy with my granite counter top! I added a cabinet in my kitchen, and I had to match granite that was already there. The man who came to measure for my template knew the exact name of the granite I needed. The staff at the store made ordering easy, and the men who installed the new counter were very professional. Spectrum Stone is a granite yard and tile retailer with an impressive inventory. I like that it's a one-stop shop with both stone and fabrication services. Delilah is wonderful! Informed, helpful, and experienced, she guides you through the process with as much input - or as little - as you want. It's a big plus that you are charged for the stone you need and don't have to purchase whole slabs.

Paige was Very helpful and knowledgeable about their product and quote was reasonable. Their whole crew was super knowledgeable and personable. They did an Exceptional Job and 100% recommend them. Great Job!!!!

Absolutely beautiful showroom, and so very many different slabs of granite, marble, and man made stone. They offer so many different services, from kitchen/bath to outdoor kitchens, fireplace surrounds, steps and so much more. Absolutely, 100% friendly and knowledgeable staff but so professional

Excellent!! Spectrum did an amazing job on our granite counters. Affordable, Professional, and really really easy/great to work with. They were accommodating with several very specific issues re: our kitchens that other vendors may have ignored. They are not just the best counter installation place in greater L-burg, they are perhaps the best vendor to work with period. They take a huge amount of pride in their work, and are true experts at what they do. Highly recommend!!
