Initially, I contacted Southwest Painting and Chimney Pro, LLC to sweep my fireplaces, however, after Dustin’s inspection of one of the fireplaces, he noticed efflorescence which indicated a water leak. Dustin inspected the chimney and observed cracks around the chimney. Dustin provided a reasonable price for both repairing the chimney and cleaning my fireplaces. A week before, it had snowed in my area and the temperatures were still quite low. Dustin explained that the temperature needs to be a certain degree-level for chimney sealant to work properly, otherwise if the sealant is applied during cold temperatures, the repair would be short lived. I was impressed by and appreciated Dustin's integrity in disclosing the impact weather had on the effectiveness of the chimney sealant. He informed me that he would monitor the weather so that when the weather improved, he would return to repair my chimney and clean my fireplace. For a week, Dustin touch bases with me reassuring me that he hadn’t forgotten my project and would confirm a service day and time. Finally, the day arrived for my service call. Dustin is old school---so professional, personable, fast, and the cleaning was so easy without any untidiness. He was also patient with me ---very helpful, explained everything and showed me how to use the fireplace! I would highly recommend Southwest Painting and Chimney Pro. I will use them for my future chimney and fireplace needs!

I contacted Dustin at Southwest to inquire about cleaning my chimney and installing a chimney cap. Dustin listened to our needs and set a date to come out to do the job. We had a very complex schedule which Dustin worked very hard to fit us in. Once the day came Dustin contacted us to confirm his arrival time and kept to it. He looked at our chimney crown and pointed out some much needed repairs it would need. Dustin went way over and beyond to make the repairs that day, install the cap and thoroughly sweep/clean the chimney/fireplace. Dustin’s work is excellent and priced extremely fair compared to other higher priced companies we called in the area. I would highly recommend him to anyone I know and will absolutely hire him again. We noticed we had water coming down our chimney and pouring into the house. We luckily found this business and got an immediate response. He was able to do most of the repairs within a few days and noticed while on the roof that we had multiple other issues with this very old house. He was able to repair gutters and shingles and, other water leaks that we didn’t even realize we had. Pricing was very reasonable and the quality of the work was outstanding. Where do I start. I just bought a home in hurt va, one of the things that needed to be addressed was the condition of my chimney!
It was bad. Would release any smoke house would billow smoke into home. Dustin came out! Assessed the problems with the chimney and spent the whole day here rectifying the issues and I now have a brand new chimney basically! It’s working perfectly and looks amazing

The same day that i called Dustin came out on his day off and fixed a few water issues we had been dealing with when it came to our chimney. So far its holding up as needed. Priced reasonably and professional.

I just had Dustin, Southwest Painting and Chimney, sweep, repair, waterproof, and line my chimney, which hadn’t been used in 10-20 yrs? He also installed my wood burning fireplace insert after guiding me through measurements and advisement on the insert that would work best. If he didn’t have an answer, he would find out and get back to me quickly. Dustin is very professional, detailed in his explanations with questions, easy to talk to, and courteous with every exchange. Above all of that, Dustin is a man who does what he says and does it when he says he will; he’s honest. He communicates very well, texting daily if need be. He had a long drive to get to my house but was always punctual. He cleaned everything up as he worked and made sure that after he was finished, he checked and cleaned again if needed. I can’t begin to say how appreciative I am for his work well done. I have to say that I’m a bit stunned at how easy and well and without fuss or excuse this project went. When we found we needed a new boiler the HVAC company advised us to have the chimney inspected and cleaned before a new appliance installation. Dustin, the owner of SW Painting and Chimney Pros answered the phone (he actually answered, no voicemail) and got us on his schedule for three days later. Once his sweep and inspection were complete he worked with us on a new chimney liner quote many thousands of dollars less than a competitors bid AND he could begin a month and a half earlier. Dustin was always punctual, always answered every text message, and communicated clearly with us through the completion of the work. Chimneys tend to be neglected, and chimney work is never cheap, but it is necessary, and Southwest Painting and Chimney Pros made a frustrating situation a lot easier to deal with. Dustin told me his skills are not limited only to paint and chimney work, so we will definitely call him in the future for other home needs.

He repaired the top of the Chimmney.He took pictures of before,during and after his work. I gave him the specs for the stove insert. When the company came that installed the stove, he stated that it was the easiest one he had installed. Everything matched up perfect.

Had a roof trim repair that he took care of in one day! He even fixed a couple of missing shingles for the same price. We would definitely recommend and use again.

Dustin came to sweep my mother in law’s chimney today and not only did he do a great job, he made some other recommendations to make things better and safer for her home. Very professional and very reasonable prices for services.

I had my chimney inspected about a year ago by another service. They told me everything way okay with both of my chimneys/flues. I wanted to have a pellet stove installed in my basement fireplace. The previous company told me they no longer service my area and recommended that I contact Southwest Painting and Chimney. Dustin said he would not rely on the previous inspection and had to make his own inspection before installing a pellet stove. He found that the chimney cap/crown was basically non-exsistent and that there were rodent nests in the upper flue. (The crown/cap deterioration would explain why rain water would pour into the fireplaces.) Either the first service had no idea what they were doing or just lied to me. Dustin cleaned out the rodent nests and repaired the chimney crown/cap. It's rare to find an honest, up-front craftsmen like Dustin and I would do business with him anytime and would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone.

Had Dustin do some Chimney work for us. He inspected and did the work that same day! Cleaned both flues, cleaned exterior water damage, coated the exterior with a waterproof sealant, and repaired some crown cracking. He was very efficient, and did a good job. He cleaned everything up and left no mess, couldn't even tell he had been in the house. Pricing was pretty good. Would recommend!
