They put 7 guys to work on my 120 squares roof and finished it in two days. Workmanship was high quality, and the cleanup was excellent. I highly recommend.

Southern Construction installed our new roof a few years ago and also installed our sons new roof. After the recent hail storm it only took one call and Southern Construction was out to check our roof. The job they did when they installed the roof was outstanding quick and clean up after was outstanding . We are all very pleased with our roofs and the service we received. You cant go wrong with Southern Construction and highly recommend.

We just had our roof done and I have never seen a harder working group of guys! They got our roof completed, beginning to end, in one day. The yard was cleaned up, and all the trash thrown away, believe me there was a bunch! There was even a misunderstanding, with the language barrier, they picked up my yard after my dog! My son and I had a good laugh on that one! Thanks Southern Construction on a job well done! The roof looks great !

Just had our roof done and I was very impressed! Home office is pleasant to work with and actually answers a phone call and returns calls when messages are left, a rare oddity in Mountain Home! Workers were friendly and cleaned up every piece if scrap and were FAST! You'll miss out if you don't hire these guys.

Jared came out the same day we called to give an estimate. The next week the supplies were delivered and his crew came and the job was done in one day! They put coverings over bushes and near doors so as not to damage them…which they didn’t. They cleaned everything up just the way it was before they came. Job well done!! When bad weather recently came through our area this company called to let me know they couldn't start right away. I would not expect them to as safety is the # 1 concern...What other professional company does this ??? When they were able to begin my roof...the tear off and reroof was done in a day. Kudos to this entire crew. Great clean up also.

Our roof needed replacement after a recent storm. After the adjuster inspected, I called Southern Construction because they were fixing a number of roofs in the neighborhood. Everybody seemed to be pleased, and I definately wanted a local roofer. Jared came out right away and gave me an estimate, and as busy as they were, they started the next week. His crew was a very professionable group of hard working men.They removed the house and garage roof in a day, and replaced them the next. The roof looks wonderful, and they spent a long time cleaning up nails and leaving no trace. Jared was very nice and knowlegeable, and even took care of most of the insurance work for me.I can't tell you how much I appreciated his patience while waiting for the insurance check. Remember that scene in "ET" where the government comes in to wrap the house for containment? At the beginning phase of our new roof repair, I looked out our back window and saw our house was literally wrapped in blue plastic sheeting to catch debris - even the back porch was blocked and encased in plastic! Greatly appreciated the care taken to protect our landscaping. The crew was fantastic! In 4 hrs, the roof was completely stripped, repaired, and prepped for the shingles. In another 4 hrs, the roof was completed. Every bit of scrap disappeared upon cleanup. (Even the neighbors took notice of the precise teamwork and great job performed.) Throughout the entire process, Jared provided clear, prompt communication and assisted with the insurance claim. Praise to all involved.

Super happy with Jared and his team! We recently bought a house that had a roof replacement done about 5 years ago by another local roofer. Our home inspector noted some concerns about it during the his inspection prior to our purchase. We knew there were some potential issues, but didn’t realize the extent of those until Jared performed an inspection. We ended up having our entire roof replaced, including a large section of rafters, that was necessary to address some support and slope issues. Jared was very honest, transparent, and straight forward with his assessment and quote. He was personally involved in overseeing the corrections, and ensuring the job was done right by his crew. We were very impressed by the professionalism and work product! Our new roof looks great, and the structural and cosmetic concerns were addressed in their entirety. Can’t recommend them highly enough!

So far we have been told 2 times the crew would be out to replace our roof " NEXT WEEK" Make that 3 times! After calling for an explanation, Jared called back & said he would return our deposit. We have wasted all this time trusting this guy to do the job. NOW we have to try & find another contractor to fix our tornado damaged roof!!! Incredibly unreliable!!!!

I'm very impressed with not only the excellent craftsmanship but also the personal from the owner through the installers to the receptionist. I had an air conditioning company in Florida for 20 years and only wish I could of had an installation crew that was as effective as Southern Construction's. Great work, 2800 Sq foot house completed in 1 days time.

We had damage due to the recent tornado so you can imagine we were stressed. Southern Construction was one of the companies our insurance recommended. Jared was out within 3 days of the tornado to assess our roof. He patched an area of concern at no charge while we waited for roof shingles to be ordered and delivered. Within a week, we had a new roof on the house and shop. The Southern Construction roofing crew was knowledgeable and very organized. Barbara in the office kept us up to date and was always available to answer questions. We are extremely pleased and would recommend these guys without hesitation.

Storms, hail, wind, & tornado damages to homes in the Mountain Home & surrounding areas. I have my home up for sale at the time & I wanted someone to look at my rooftop in case there had been any damage the might have effect on the sale. I called Southern Construction & was told someone would be in touch with me & there was no cost inspection offered. Within a few hours I received a call from Jared Forbis the company owner asking if he could come look at the roof. He arrived minutes later and went up for a look. I was fortunate there was little damage. Jared was obviously a young but consummate professional. I assured him I had no intention of wasting him time but I sure did appreciate it. I suggest you give Jared a call for Construction or roofing needs. I’d be willing to bet you will be glad you did.

Couldn't ask for better, prompt service and awesome work. No call backs on this one. One and done. They did our son's house and he was equally impressed.

Had a few rounds with hail during bad weather last week. A little concerned there might be serious roof damage. A friend recommended Southern Construction Roofing. He said they had put a roof on his house and did an excellent job. Got an appt. The owner, Jared Forbus came over and did the inspection. He was open, honest, and gave good recommendations. Have had folks before that were not quite so open and honest. Will not hesitate to hire him when the roof does need to be replaced. A refreshing encounter with a great, hard working young man.

Needed some materials to finish a small job at the shop and they helped us in acquiring them. Prompt service and courteous as well. Highly recommended.

Great experience. Jared responded to my cry for help promptly came out the first time I called. I have an older metal roof and needed someone to listen to my questions and address them clearly and honestly. He did both. He has given me hope not a runaround. Being an "older" person I want to stay in my home a few more years and keep it maintained, and a good roof is high priority. Beware of Southern Construction LLC, roofing contractor.
They did NOT give me a choice of shingles on my house.
They dropped a bundle of shingles on the roof vent from my over the stove microwave crushing the vent and cause my microwave to make terrible noise when I use the microwave vent. I complained but did no good. They did not clean up carefully so I got 2 flat tires from roofing nails left in my driveway.
one comment they made was: "some labor from Mexico was cheep but there were HUNGRY people from other countries that were cheeper"

Our roof was at its end of life. We had a complete tear off, new decking, chimney flashing, removal of turbine vents ,etc. They covered shrubs ,flower beds, removed items away from house to keep from damaging and put everything back once job was done. Cleaned up all debris and went around entire house picked up nails and left the property as clean as it was before they started. The crew started working on arrival and didnt stop until job completed. I'm very satisfied with their service & Colby's estimate is what we paid no unexpected price changes. Roof looks amazing. I highly recommend anyone that needs a roof to contact them. Thank you Colby and the crew.

I've had many roof replaced over the years and multiple addresses using Southern Construction and they can't be beat. There quality of work is amazing, they clean up after job is complete and you never knew they we're there. The guys we're very nice and answered any questions I had. I would recommend Southern for any roofing job and will continue to use them on all my future roofing jobs.

Employees were great, owner not so much. His employee recommended that we have the fascia done as well. Verified prices and paid at the same time that we made the final payment for the roof. After 3 months of no contact, the owner now says that we never paid for the fascia and refuses to refund the money

They did a thorough and fast job. The bulk was done in one day and they cleaned up as they went. Everything was done as promised. I would highly recommend them.

It.has been a couple of weeks now since our roof was completed. We're very happy with the way everything was handled. At first I thought there was no way they could finish the whole job in one day but they did and they also cleaned the whole area after.

I kinda started down a list of “roofers” recommended by friends and neighbors. Not so much as a return call from any of them….so another friend suggested Southern Construction. I called, they came immediately, and now a week later they’re done. They cleaned up the area very well.

Jared & his team did an amazing job. We had a roof installed by an individual that thought they knew what they were doing, who was a subcontractor of the now defunct Willow Homes. Needless to say when Southern Construction tore shingles off, they found a portion of the roof that had existing shingles never torn off, various places of rotten wood. In addition , the subcontractor short stacked the shingles which led to leaks and the 2yr old shingles to curl up and to cup, not to mention no new flashing installed. We are thankful for Jared and his crew, the roof looks amazing and no leaks which is an added bonus!!! Highly recommend Southern Construction, well worth it.

An exceptional experience from beginning to end. They called back quickly, came out 2 hours later, had done their homework already to know the size of our roof on the house and separate shop. Gave us a quote while there and we hired them. Professional, friendly crew that installed the roof and completed in one and a half days. The quality of work was excellent, the tear off and installation was done in one day, and the clean-up was way better than I ever expected. Insurance suggested southern construction , Jared came out and gave me an estimate . It sounded like a great price until I got 2 more estimates from reputable contractors and found out Jared was 2,700 dollars higher for the same shingles and proposed work . So do your homework people ,get multiple estimates.

had my roof replaced in 2019 by a different company and they completely destroyed my roof. after 3 years loosing money due to crooks coming out to try and " fix it " I heard about southern construction. BEST MONEY I HAVE EVER SPENT. not only did they come out and look at the roof, they gave us a big discount due to amount of money lost in 3 years. they got roof done very quick and even added couple more vents to roof without extra charge. they are very knowledgeable and very kind and VERY reasonable priced. if you need anything roof related contact them because I don't want to see anyone going through what I went through

When we needed a couple new shingles due to some tree damage, he was able to look up the type and color as I couldn’t remember it, then gave us the extra shingles all this time later! Great experience. Shingle roof needed replaced. Jared was quick to respond and gave an evaluation and showed us all the problem areas and issues. We decided to hire southern construction and they were beyond prompt and professional. They showed up in the morning and were done that day. After the tear off, there was way more damage than anticipated and decking needed replaced. Jared was fair with the adjustment for the additional materials required and barely went over the quote of the shingle replacement even though they had to do more work and buy decking (not cheap). I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Crew was professional. They cleaned up afterwards to a point you’d hardly know they had been there except the new beautiful roof. I Couldn’t recommend them more.

Jared and his crew are amazing. Jared was very prompt in returning my phone call. He was quick to come to place a bid. The bid was given one week and I had a new roof the next week.
The crew were amazingly fast, did good work and were courteous. They did a super cleanup. Unbelievably, it only took one hour beyond one day (they ran out of daylight) to take off the old roof, effect necessary repairs and install a new roof.

I was out of town the two days they worked on the roof and the photo of the actual house is what I came home to. I was horrified! It looked nothing like the sample that we looked at and chose(see sample and an online photo of it on a roof). On the up side the job is well done and the cleanup immaculate and efficient and guaranteed for 30 years. Unfortunately, every time I look up at the roof I want to cry. It actually looks more dark brown when the sun gets brighter, the one color I was very specific about that I wanted to avoid. So for professional workmanship I give them a 5 star, just be real sure that what is being laid on your roof looks like the sample you saw because you will be looking at it a long time..

I’m jumping on here after trying to be civil and reasonable for 2.5 years. Yes 2.5 years, I have been dealing with a leaking roof on my home. 2022 my wife and I moved to this area and after buying our home we found it needed a roof. After a few bids we went with southern Construction. What a terrible mistake. Almost 20,000 dollars for the new roof but Jared the owner convinced me they would get it done right. Well for anyone who doesn’t know, Jared the owner doesn’t go to job sites or check quality afterwards. Three years my roof still leaks and they can’t answer the phone. All in all you’d be better off asking Helen Keller and Stevie wonder for help.

Jared came to my house and gave a thorough estimate that was lower than the other estimates I had received from other local contractors, and his estimate included much higher quality materials than the other contractors had quoted in their estimates. His thoroughly professional and very pleasant manner were what really tipped the scales in his favor, though. Anyone can give a good price, but when it comes to customer service and the quality of a company's work and the materials used, it really makes picking a contractor for replacing your roof stress-free because you realize you can count on Jarod to be as good as his word.

I will highly recommend him and his company to anyone who needs a roof repaired or replaced, or any home remodeling and repair work done in the Mountain Home area. He's licensed and bonded, and he and his workers do a fine job, and were very thorough with the cleanup after the job was done, too. They ran magnets over my entire lawn - front and back, and my driveway, too in order to make sure no errant nails were left behind for someone to step on or get stuck in my vehicle's tires. That kind of conscientiousness is a rare thing these days. You can trust Southern Construction to do the job right, at a fair price, and on time. I can't recommend them more highly.
