Nathan was extremely thorough in his inspection and the report he generates is really well done and easy to follow with great comments next to every pic. Also both he and his wife are super responsive to questions in a timely fashion. Very impressed to see such great work ethic! I would highly recommend him.

Nathan and his wife Janelle appear to be running a small business that they really care about.

For us, they shifted an existing schedule to accommodate us, and did an incredibly thorough job inspecting the house we are going to buy, at very competitive prices.

We know they were thorough because we had a seller's inspection report and we compared the two, and Nathan's report caught everything the seller's vendor had caught, but with more detail (as well as entirely new issues not in the prior inspection).

We can't recommend them enough.

Nathan was our inspector. He was on time and got right to work. Our realtor said he did a very thorough inspection. My husband who used to inspect high rises, agreed. Nathan, answered any questions we had during his inspection, then explained all of his findings to us before answering any other questions we had. The report he sent us had every area broken down, with each issue noted as hazard, should fix soon, and do as you have time. There were pictures for each issue with his concerns marked. Had we decided to buy the house, we would have had everything we needed to show anyone we hired, where and what to fix. In the end there was just to many big ticket issues, so we are still looking. We will be using Nathan again,(I hope soon) and would recommend him to anyone needing an inspection.

Sound Mind Home Inspections has inspected 4 homes for us in Snohomish and King Counties. We could not be any more impressed than we are with Nathan and his team. Nathan was very professional, and beyond thorough. His inspections revealed items that were not shown on a seller's professional pre-inspection report completed less than 3 months prior. Nathan also found issues that a different seller was trying to deny and possibly conceal. I am forever grateful that he has saved us from buying a money pit. When safely possible, Nathan methodically walked the roofs and crawled through crawl spaces, versus only using a drone or other devices that other inspectors soley rely on; how can a drone feel soft spots on a roof? He also does use state of the art devices to enhance his work, such as moisture radar thingies. He took the time discussing and explaining concerns during, after, and even several days after our inspection. Janelle was such a pleasure to speak with when arranging our appointments and with follow-up questions. I definitely will not hesitate to contact Sound Mind Home Inspections again and am truly confident when I recommend him to others.

Nathan was recommended to me by a selling agent when a home I put an offer on off Hwy 2 stipulated the inspection had to be completed within 5 days of going mutual. He and Janelle were both SO responsive and were able to accommodate our appointment on relatively short notice. I totally screwed up how long it would take me to get to the property, arriving 40 mins late, but both Janelle and Nathan were so friendly about it and began the exterior inspection while we finished the drive.
