Working with skylights and roofing experts was a very easy Process. During their initial visit, they took the time to understand our lighting situation, how we would use the room and our expectations. They gave us some great options. We have encountered other skylight installation companies that were not as thorough. The information was clear and accurate. They installed the skylight a few days later and the installation team was very efficient and courteous.

I am thrilled with my new skylight. Andres and Christina were a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend.

Cristina and Andres are extremely knowledgeable about Velux Skylight installation. Everyone was professional and very willing to answer all of my questions. For 20 years my family room was dark and now I have light without having to use lamps. Thanks again to the team.

Originally had a skylight replaced by them and that was an okay job. They did fine, nothing to write a review about. My main issue with them was that after giving them our business I thought I'd ask for a quote for some additional work to see what it would cost and was told I should have something back within 2weeks. That was in June, now in August I still have not heard a work back from them. I have left multiple voicemails and emails and not even a response. I understand being busy and not having the bandwidth to take on a job but a simple reply out of respect for a customer who has already paid you and referred you to other people. Would not recommend working with them as them seem to not respect customers.

Tremendous service and quality! The company installed two skylights in my living room and wow - what a difference! The workers were polite and did a good quality job. The owners also asked for feedback and didn't leave until everything was addressed. Finish on the inside is immaculate - you'd never know the skylights weren't original to the house. Definitely recommend and will use again once I find a spot to put more skylights!

I had a suntunnel put in a room in my finished attic which has no windows. It makes a huge difference. The first picture is before and the second is the room with no lights turned on. Just the light coming from the suntunnel.

I recently had my siding roof replaced, including the installation of new skylight on my house. I couldn’t be more impressed with the service I received. The team was incredibly professional and responsive throughout the entire process.

Was excited to work with this company to get a quote on multiple things including the replacement of a few skylights. Unfortunately, they were a no-show for our quote. I tried calling them three times (twice the day of and once the following week) and they have not returned our calls or communicated in any way (despite saying they pride themselves on "great communication"). A simple "we're not able to come out and give you a quote" or "we're not interested in your job" would've sufficed so we didn't lose a full day of work waiting for them only to have to find someone else.

The owners (Andres and Cristina) were a pleasure to work with to replace our kitchen skylight. They were very knowledgable, could answer all my questions when choosing the opening option, perfect for a kitchen! Love it!

Andre and Cristina were great to work with throughout the process of replacing 3 skylights at our house. They had a clear and fair estimate for the replacement, were able to knowledgeably answer questions, and were able to be flexible on scheduling the work around personal commitments that came up and changing weather. Andre and another worker made quick and professional work of the replacements, and I would absolutely recommend them!

Gaithersburg Roofing and Home Improvement, LLC replaced 2 skylights on one of my projects. They came out with sample "mini" skylights of the product "Velux" that they install. They showed my client all of the options for these skylights. We ordered and on the day of install they removed the old skylights and replaced with the new ones exactly as they explained at consultation. They were VERY efficient, tidy, and clean. Their install was smooth and flawless. This is a true professional company that really aims to please their clients.

We talked to three area companies about skylight installation and decided to go with Gaithersburg Roofing based on their obvious experience and expertise. We'd never had skylights installed, and I was looking for someone who could not only give me a quote, but also help us on the design side with size, placement, and lighting impact on the space. I also had a lot of nitty gritty detail questions, and was very thankful that when we first met Andres and Cristina, Andres was able to answer all those questions, given that he was the one that would be leading the install. It was a much more preferred experience to me than speaking with just a sales rep and wondering if all my concerns would properly get communicated to the installation crew. Andres & crew installed our skylights in one day, and they were able to source matching roof shingles. In addition, the drywall installation/painting looks great and there's no evidence that it was a later addition to the room. We're very pleased with the outcome of this project and would recommend. ☺️

I was very impressed with Gaithersburg Roofing! They came out quickly to do an estimate and were extremely professional. They completed the work shortly after and I was equally impressed with the quality of the installation, clean-up, and overall product quality. Would recommend.

I had scheduled a consult and took time off to be at home for the appointment. The company was running late and called to say they'd be at my house in about 20 minutes ( an hour late) but they never showed up. I called but they didn't answer and it just went to voicemail. It's been over a week and I haven't heard from them. If they didn't want my business they could have just told me and not wasted my time.

Andres and Cristina visited our home to develop the plan and provide the estimate. They returned with a team of skilled professionals. Hired them to install a new roof and then again to repair a leak in our chimney. They also repaired the water damage that affected the ceiling. They are organized, clear in what they are doing, and have fair pricing. Recommend.

The Marins and company were excellent to work with from start to finish. They were able to promptly come out to inspect my roof and skylight and determine the issues. They then returned to replace the skylight and repair portions of the roof while also doing some basic paint touch up on some needed areas on the house at a reasonable additional price! Fantastic from start to finish! They worked so quickly and made sure that I had everything that I needed, including hi-resolution before and after photos photos of their work. Even Cristina, their office coordinator, was a dream to work with. Everyone was super friendly and most importantly took pride in their work! Most importantly, the work was really well done. After noticing a leak near one of our skylights, we had Gaithersburg Roofing and Home Improvement (and two other contractors) come out to diagnose the issue and provide a quote for it. Andres was friendly and professional, and quickly identified the skylight as the source of the leak. They were very communicative and pleasant to deal with as we asked questions before deciding to go with them.

Once we decided to go ahead with them, everything went well. They showed up on time, and replaced two skylights and the surrounding shingles quickly, and after that they cleaned up any debris. Unfortunately, we noticed another leak after the new skylights were installed, but Andres quickly agreed to come out and fixed it without any questions. They also kindly came by and fixed some additional issues they identified with our chimney.

Very happy with their service overall, and would definitely recommend and use again in the future.

I had the team from Gaithersburg Roofing install 4 Velux power opening skylights. The salesman came to my home on time and wore a mask as well as took care to social distance. He was able to give detailed answers to my questions and explained the install process thoroughly. The install team arrived on time and again all wearing masks. They covered my floors and furniture with great care. The work was completed on time and the team even repaired a small portion of my roof that was not included in the install price. Once completed the team cleaned the work area and removed all debris. The foreman took time to explain the remote controls to me. In this day and age unfortunately, it is hard to find good quality skilled tradesman, however the team at Gaithersburg roofing did a great job and I will be sure to use them again. After contacting 4 different companies to replace gutters and siding (aluminum to vinyl) at a professional building, we awarded the contract to Gaithersburg Roofing. Andres and his wife worked with me (building manager) to ensure we were satisfied with selection of materials and craftmanship. They were on site almost every day (Saturdays & Sundays included) working or overseeing the project. Called them for a quote on necessary repairs that were pointed out during a home inspection when selling our house. I asked if they did gutter repair, and siding repair... they said yes and scheduled to send someone out the next day to take a look at the house.

Andres arrived to review the items needing repair. He discussed repair items with me, seemed eager to get them done, and said he'd get the completed quote to me that night. That night no quote arrived, so I called the next day to check on it. There was no answer on their phone, so I left a message. Two days later, still nothing, so I left another message. Then two days later again I left one more message. My calls were never returned.

If they're not interested in the work, just tell me, but at least call a customer back. My advice for anyone reading this, find someone else.
