Shylee's Construction and Roofing

I was scrolling through the "West Hills" page on Facebook and came across someone who was asking for recommendations on a Roofing company. I noticed that multiple people were recommending Shylee's Roofing as well as complimenting on what a positive experience they all had with this company. Multiple people stated that Tiffany was a pleasure to work with and she went above and beyond for them.
I was a little skeptical at first but I decided to give them a call. It was around 9am on a weekday. I called Shylee's Roofing and Tiffany answered the phone. I could tell from the background noise that she was on a job site. I let her know that my wife and I were interested in getting a bid for a new roof. Tiffany stated that she could have someone out at my house between 1 and 3pm. I asked her if she meant today and she said yes! I provided her my contact info and we hung up. Exactly at 1pm sharp, Dave, a representative from Shylee's Roofing was at my door, knee pads on, tape measure, ladder and note pad in hand. I was very impressed by the fact that he was on time and not a minute late.
Dave climbed up our roof, took some measurements and within 15 minutes, he was done. He physically showed me that I had a 2 layer roof and let me know that I would have a bid via email shortly.
The next day, I woke up, checked my emails and what do I see? An email from Tiffany which arrived at 11:35pm of the prior day. In other words, they got me a representative out the same day and provide me a bid on the same day as well.
This estimate was VERY detailed and beyond informative and professional.
It stated that they use Owens Corning shingles with a 50 year warranty and that they provide a 5 year warranty on their labor. Incase of any leaks or issues, they would come out at no charge for up to 5 years.
I was impressed.
But before pulling the trigger, I decided to get two other estimates from two other company's to ensure that Shylee's was within reason.
Let me tell you, the second company came out, the whole experience was like night and day. The gentleman from the second company's told me that he would come out on Saturday between 3pm and 6pm. He never showed up, he didn't return my texts and left me hanging on Saturday. He called back on Monday and let me know he would come out the following day on Tuesday.
He showed up on Tuesday and long story short, he offered me a non-brand shingles material which I've never heard of with only a 30 year warranty. The whole experience of him flaking on me really upset me. First impressions are important to me and always have been.
My gut feeling told me to go with Shylee's.
My sixth sense has yet to fail me and let me tell you, I'm glad I went with my sixth sense.
I called Tiffany from Shylee's Roofing and asked her to please provide me a bid for removing my existing insulation and to replace it with new insulation.
Guess what, later that same day, I received the bid for the insulation replacement.
I spoke to my wife and we agreed to go with Shylee's Roofing.
Tiffany, the owner of this company runs a very tight ship! She does what she promises and works very hard to maintain their solid reputation. There is a reason why so many random people speak so highly of Tiffany and Shylee's Roofing. The crew came out on a Friday, within one day, they completely removed my old roof down to the wood.
They worked from 8am till the job was done. They worked their butt's off!
Every single nail and all of the trash was completely cleaned up and they air blew everything away to perfection.
The next day, the new Roofing materials were dropped off.
The following Monday, the same crew of three guys completed my roof.
Not a single shingle is misplaced or off. Everything is so uniform that it all met my OCD standards.
I forgot to mention that we passed inspection as Shylees pulled the permit with the city and did everything by the book.
The city inspector even complimented their work as I was washing my car the day of inspection. These guys know what they are doing and have been doing it a very long time.

So grateful to have found Shylee Roofing and Construction! I was looking for a good roofer for my neighbor and they did amazing work. They are everything you would want in a construction company - honest, reliable, thorough, knowledgeable. When it's time for our roof we know who to call! Thanks again!

I have had a horrible experience, especially with Tiffany who pretended to be a previous client on LA Mommies, and basically referred her own company. She also had a bunch of friends immediately reccomend her. I should have known better, but I had them give me a quote, which was lower than the rest, but somehow once the work started, that price soared far beyond any other estimate. Please stop with the harrassment or I will go to the BBB Tiffany and give me the money you owe me for work that was not completed. :(

I call to Shylee’s construction and Roofing to do a new roof to my home they are really professional and they have a fast service, from the phone call to complete the roof it take 4 days to complete the project. I am so glad that I called them and I highly recommend it.

The best decision I recently made was to use Shylee Construction and Roofing to replace my roof. Tiffany, the owner who I dealt with from start to finish made herself immediately available if I had any questions at all. She was very clear and accurate with her explanation of the process, options and status of the project. They started the project on a Monday with the expectation that there wouldn’t be any rain for two weeks. On Tuesday when the forecast changed and there was a chance it was going to rain later in the week she added workers and completed the roof in only 3 days to avoid any potential issues with the rain. If you need any roof repairs or replacement, make sure to give Tiffany a call, you will also agree it was a great decision.

The best thing I've ever heard a GC say is, "I'd love to have your business, but I won't take the job, because I know someone who can give you a better deal."

That's what Tiffany Swisa told us and she referred Roberto, one of her trusted contractors , who took care of a small chimney/roof/ceiling repair for us. He did such a great job, both structurally and cosmetically, that we expanded the scope of work and had him do crown molding for us, too.

When we have a big job, we're calling Shylee first. Thanks, Tiffany!

I needed my roof redone (leaks), but I have solar and I had a hard time finding a company that would remove/reinstall my solar equipment. Luckily I found Shylee Construction & Roofing and Tiffany handled it all.

Tiffany coordinated between the electrical team and the roofing team to have the solar removed, the roof done, then the solar reinstalled. She was readily available to answer questions, and proactively provided updates throughout the project.

The friendly team came on time each morning, worked a solid day, and cleaned up each evening. Materials were on hand, so no delays waiting for deliveries. The city inspections were uneventful; never any corrections required. They even fixed the fascia boards that were installed incorrectly by the original builder. When the roof was done, the solar was reinstalled and fired up without a hitch.

The end result looks great and the final cost matched the estimate. Conveniently, there was heavy rain a week after the job completed, and all my leaks were gone.

I highly recommend Tiffany and Shylee Roofing and Construction. We had our roof redone and I have to say Tiffany was incredible. Let me say, for our project things didn’t go exactly as planned, to no fault of Tiffany, but she handled things with confidence and professionalism. Whenever I called or texted she was always there to keep the project moving. I am pleased with the way the roof turned out. Dave’s team also came in and cleaned our attic and installed a whole home house fan, which I would recommend to all my friends. I would definitely call them back for other jobs in the future. We called 5 different roofing companies that had good reviews on Yelp and Tiffany from Shylee Roofing was one of the 2 companies that picked up the phone.

When we called, Tiffany picked up the call herself! We scheduled for her to come check out our roof in a few days. Dave, their technician, showed up on time at the door. To keep everyone safe, he entered through the back and the whole appointment was done outdoors. He was efficient and gave us a good quotation.

From when we decided to go with Shylee Roofing to when his crew completed the project, it was less than a week. The crew was efficient and they cleaned up well every day before they left. We really appreciated that. They did a deeper clean on the very last day before taking off. Tiffany came the next day to pick up the check and schedule for the inspection.

Inspection was also super easy. The guy who came was super respectful because of Covid. He walked into our place and saw that the smoke detectors were intact, gave some advice and politely walked out. He was in our house for maybe 5 minutes tops and when he approached the door, he actually took a step back and let us open the door (contactless yay!) - which we really appreciate.

We had been considering installing solar panels after the roof and Tiffany reminded us of the tax credits we will be able to get if we do it by the end of the year, but he wasn't pushing for us to have it done asap. In fact, she even told us to go back and check our bills to see if it actually makes sense to do it. After review of our utility bills we did see we would benefit and contracted Shylee Roofing to do our solar system. The process was so easy, Tiffany kept us up to date on the plans/permit process. The system was permitted and installed in less than 1 month!!

Tiffany is the kind of business owner who really cares for her customers, she literally responds to texts and emails at all hours!

Would definitely recommend her for any energy efficient upgrades!

Literally my roof was falling apart - pre COVID damage and the fix was long long overdue. I went through various companies that had absolutely no idea what they were talking about. Until Shylee Construction came through when I thought I’d end up getting stuck with one of their competitors. There was a lot of previous damage and when my husband and I split up, I was left to dealing with this insane project all by myself, barely working because of Covid and inquiring with every last possible company on what my options were. Not only does this company make sure that you’re kept informed every step of the way, they meet timelines, they answer all your questions no matter how annoying they tend to be, and they make sure that you know exactly what you’re paying for, and are honest. They don’t gauge or take advantage of you. And their price was the best of all my bids. Literally got a quote over the phone! Do you think that’s not a lot to ask most people. They literally finished a week ahead of schedule and right before the first leaves started falling off the trees. I cannot thank you guys enough. I couldn't be happier with Shylee Roofing and Construction. Tiffany and crew did a fantastic job tearing down and replacing our roof. I got bids from a half dozen other contractors and Tiffany’s bid was competitive and well priced, Tiffany explained on our initial consult that their pricing is aggressive because they DO NOT HAVE sales people so no commission is needed to be paid. Shylee construction’s warranty, price and friendly service put me over the edge. To my surprise, they completed the job in record time--much faster than anticipated and quoted. I would definitely recommend Shylee roofing and construction and I would go to them again for any roofing needs. Its nice to find a contractor you can trust. You can't go wrong with them. 10/10.
