Water in the basement is such a scary thing, but Tiki and Jesus, along with manager Clemson, did a fantastic job getting the cleanup part of my job accomplished. They didn’t waste any time and yet still answered my questions and clearly laid out for me what they were doing. When they finished, the standing water was gone, and the damaged flooring and baseboard had been removed. The big fans were running, and I feel great about the work!

I was feeling a bit overwhelmed seeing i had just funeralized my husband days ago but JPs warm words of assurance and encouragement helped to bring my mind to a state of peace that all would be well. I may have posted before, but we had work completed several years ago that was done well. My rating today, though, was I needed documentation on extremely short notice, and Rebecca handled it quickly and got what I needed over to me. The truth is that it was a great experience, the effort in every detail was amazing, what I liked most was the love and care they put into the JROTC area, the trophies and planes were like new. I really appreciate Rose's group for the dedication they put into their work.

Run far away from this company! Unless you want to be ripped off, lied to, berated, yelled at, laughed at, and job canceled in the middle of the project, then run as far away from ServPro as possible. This review is for both their Mitigation and Construction teams, but mainly their construction team. For context, we were told for both mitigation and construction it would be a 7-10 job.
The mitigation team said it was a 1-2 day job ended up being 4 1/2 days (started 4/14/25, finished 4/18/25). They made a simple 7-10 day bathroom project a living nightmare, that lasted weeks, that they ended up canceling mid-project. This is the readers digest version, trust me you do not want to use this company. You will regret it. Please see Yelp to see full review with details. Does not fit here. Will N, Darrin D and their boss Blake E are as incompetent as can be.

Donnie and his team of professionals did a great job repairing my home from the damage that occurred from an AC unit that leaked water onto my ceiling. I would highly recommend Donnie and his team again work on my home without any invitation.

After having waited from Jan 25 til May 29 they have shown me that the Servpro pack out team was indeed worth the wait, only this team. The remaining teams I will respond upon the completion of their jobs. The highest score I would reward April’s team of four. This team has been the brightest star of Servpro of Birmingham.

it needs be known that i usually do NOT leave reviews unless they need be left. usually a 5 star or a 1 star. impeccable or embarrassing.

Brandon Fennell and his water team are IMPECCABLE. they jumped right on our issue that we came back to from a week long vacation. First, Derek Randolph came out and assessed our situation and his response time was FAST. then the remediation team came in within the hour. Matt, Eddie, Pablo and Jobani(aka Noe or No-Way and aka Junior) were incredibly KIND and INFORMATIVE. they worked hard and never complained. they worked for hours and did extensive work to ensure they did their best to absolve the water damage and begin drying things out.

Based on my experience i wish i could work with them the rest of the whole process.

First, it’s important to note that the remediation and reconstruction sides of the business are operated independently of each other.

TL;dr: The remediation process was amazing from the first call to the final cleanup. However, reconstruction has not been the same level of service and I will not use them again for recon in the future.

For the remediation side I have nothing but praise. From the moment we discovered that our water heater had flooded the basement while on vacation and called Servepro, everyone was super helpful. The first call taker, then the on call guy, to the team that removed all of the wet trim and carpet pad, and the subsequent daily check ups and calls from the supervisor. Everything was done in a timely manner and much more affordable than I imagined.

The next step was reconstruction. We didn’t have a contractor, so we went with Servepro since the previous experience was so great. This time however, it has not been as seamless. The estimator came out and was prompt, friendly, and worked well with our insurance, getting things covered that we weren’t expecting. So far so good.

However, our recon supervisor did not show up at the agreed upon time for the initial walk through. I wasn’t pleased because I left work for it. So, I had to leave work again the next day. The supervisor said that he would drop off the carpet sample book, and never did. So we went to Lowe’s to look at carpet to get ideas and sent him some pictures. He responded with pictures of samples that were nothing like what we wanted. Finally, I told him to take pictures of all the samples he had. We finally agreed on one, even though it’s not what we were after.

Communication was a little spotty, but the workers did a decent job with trim and paint, and we received fairly regular updates. Wasn’t a fan of the supervisor’s excuses for why we hadn’t heard from him, or his lack of showing up sometimes, or how the office where the carpet samples was a wreck and he couldn’t find them all.

Then out of the blue, a couple days after I last heard from the supervisor I got a call from a new supervisor who said the previous one is no longer with the company. Okay. I told him what we were waiting on and he was quick to locate our carpet and schedule a time for it to be installed.

They wanted to do Saturday, and that was fine. Issue is they didn’t order enough carpet, so the job is only half done and they worked for half a day. So now the stairs from the garage to the main level is half padded, half carpeted but not secured, and all the tack strips are exposed. So can’t really let the little kids use the stairs.

Also, they left a pile of old carpet and padding in the driveway. It’s taking up space, getting rained on, and the dogs keep trying to eat the padding. Plastic and padding is blowing around.

The workers left on Saturday and we didn’t hear anything from them about the job status. Figured I would hear something Monday, but didn’t so I called the new supervisor. He said he had to order more carpet. I advised him of the stairs and the pile of old carpet and pad and the issue with it. He said he would contact the crew and take care of it. It’s Tuesday evening and nothing has been taken care of.

I have no doubt the job will be completed eventually, and probably well. But don’t expect the same level of excellence in recon as you receive in remediation.

Update 6/2/25: Two days after requesting the trash in my driveway to be cleaned it and they finally did. Glad I insisted on that because if they were going to wait to cleanup for when they finished the job it would still be there two weeks later. Been waiting two weeks for the rest of the carpet to arrive and be installed. This has been a two month process from start to finish.

Arthur, Elias, and Clemson are the nicest, and most knowledgeable team members of Servpro ever. They are very hard working, and regardless of the task, will see it through the end. They came fully prepared for the task, and worked well past dinner time. They never complained about the time. Their focus was on the task at hand. I only wish I could give them more than five stars. They are deserving
of at least 100+. Thanks guys for being the best representatives Servpro can ever employ .

Our pack out crew that helped us consisted of Destiny, Emma, Aniyah, Jaylen and Sam. All of them were so helpful and kind. It was a very quick turnaround, needing the whole pack out to be completed in one day on Friday. I am so appreciative of Destiny and her initiative to get a crew together and make it happen. On Friday, Emma and Aniyah were so friendly, kind, and worked all day Friday to ensure everything was inventoried for the pack out in detail. Sam and Jaylen did an awesome job getting everything moved downstairs and were very flexible with us to ensure everything was situated in the most advantageous way. The team as a whole did a fantastic job and I absolutely would request this crew for any future needs.

As I sit here amazed at the devastation from a crack in my upstairs toilet, that flooded the first and second floor of my home, I am compelled to
express my sincere appreciation and gratitude for the outstanding service provided by your late-night crew that consisted of Tiki, DK, Decorean, Jalen, Arthur, Rose, Jessica, Angelica, all Managed by Mark on Friday, May 16 in response to an emergency flooding situation at my property.

From the moment they arrived, the team demonstrated professionalism, dedication, and a genuine concern for my situation. Despite the late hour and the extent of the damage, they remained courteous, focused, and extremely thorough in their work. They worked tirelessly until midnight, well beyond normal hours to ensure that my home was safe and stable for the next phase of my restoration.

I was especially impressed with the care they took while removing the ceilings and addressing the water damage. They explained the process clearly, answered all of my questions, which were many and treated my home with the utmost respect. Cannot say enough good things about this company. No one ever wants to need to use ServPro, but they have been so kind, helpful, and understanding through the whole process that it has been a breeze. Kevin Naler came out the night of the water damage and walked me through everything and then I have had constant communication with multiple departments since. The remediation team came out a day later composed of Juan, Noe, Isaiath, and Eiddie and they were in and out. They made sure the house stayed cleaned, tore out what they needed to, set up the equipment, and went over next steps. I would have never expected this process to be so easy and smooth. 10/10!!

Called them 4 times before I got someone late Friday who said they would just come out, and look at a dryer vent cleaning the following Monday! No thanks its not rocket science. He advised, updated, and answered every call I made to him. Donnie was professional and showed compassion towards us through our disaster. Each person was professional, on time, communicated with me politely and respectfully and was the same with my home. They worked quietly and were not disruptive. The crews cleaned up after they finished the job. The job was beautiful the sheetrock repair you could not see where a large amount was replaced, the color match for the paint was spot on and the same with the baseboards. Darrin Douglas is still working with me to finish the final piece. His professional perspective has been very helpful. Christina Duke was professional and polite reaching out on a regular basis.
