Moved to Cape Charles in early 2025. Hired Ron Harlow to complete my kitchen. Complete disaster and poor craftsmanship. Have to hire someone else to go back and complete his mistakes. Go somewhere else
UPDATE....you know exactly who I am and you say that about every bad review when you do bad work. Not legitimate excuse. Caused me 1000s of dollars to replace cabinets. Speaking the truth. People should stay faaaaaarrrrr away from your services!!!

Hired Ron Harlow in June 2024 to install a bunch of interior and exterior doors, build a front porch, install a sliding glass window, install 2 exhaust fans and fix a bathroom ceiling. It took 3 weeks to semi complete after he gave a 1 week finishing time frame. Did complete crap work and going to have to spend 2k-3k to fix his mistakes. He installed the steps on the porch very poor quality and now they're not flesh with concrete (see picture). The railing is not even screwed the whole way down since it didn't install the baluster correctly (see picture). Also a few other minor time-consuming fixes on the porch. Next, he installed a sliding glass door and half assed finished it. Didn't do the trim outside or inside and looks awful (see pictures). All he was wanting was more money to actually complete the job correctly when it took him 3 weeks to get to this point after saying it would take a week.
At the end I just wanted him to leave and would have someone else complete it CORRECTLY. His guy Henry was caught sitting on couch during the day when my tenants were at work. The couch would have a lot of drywall dust on it after coming home from work. Was wondering why barely any work was getting done. Ron said he was putting 6 to 8 hours a day into the house, but my neighbor has a camera directly on my house from across the street and he was there consistently 5 hours a day. Also, the deal we had was for me to buy supplies and pay him for the skilled labor he provided. I come to find out he took the 2nd soffit vent for the exhaust fan he was supposed to install. Drywall screws I bought that I know he didn't use them all. 2000 trim nails I bought which he might have used 500.
I could keep going on and on about things he either didn't do or did at a very poor quality. I just wanted him gone. All and all this were an awful experience and hope nobody else makes the same mistake!
*****UPDATE*****....see pictures building my porch and putting posts directly on ground and not a slab of concrete. Post will rot out in less then 5 years if i am lucky. I am npt even a contractor and i know this. Have to hire a comentent person to fix this if it can even be fixed.
No dispute between me and my renters. Please come up with a better story to justify this awful experience and crappy work. They were watching my back when it came to you. Dont make stuff up to make stuff up. You were sending you grandson out with Henry( employee got caught sitting on couch all day when no work was getting done) to complete work. Was never there more thwn 5 hours and have pictures to prove that. I was out of town but would come down every weekend to check it out. By week 3 i wanted you gone no matter the case. Almost everything you touched needs to be fixed properly and it should not be like that.
Nobody was trying to buy my house and whatever youre trying to say. Just cause you say they're lies doesnt mean that is true. The material just disapeared i guess then. Did crap work and are an unethical contractor. People need to stay away from you.

Ron Harlow did an outstanding job on our home. He and his team installed additional pilings under our deck for extra support and replaced water-damaged flooring with great care and precision. Ron is dependable, meticulous, and truly committed to doing the job right—even if it requires extra effort on his part. His craftsmanship and attention to detail are evident in every aspect of his work. We couldn't be happier with the results and highly recommend him.

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.
The cost to replace the roof of a commercial building typically ranges from $5 to $12 per square foot, depending on several factors such as roof size, material, labor rates, building type, and local code requirements.
Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.
Roof leak repair cost generally ranges from $300 to $800, depending on the size and location of the leak, the materials required, and labor intensity. Complex leaks involving structural repairs or interior damage will cost more.
Flat roof repair cost for commercial properties usually ranges from $500 to $3,000, depending on the roofing material (TPO, EPDM, PVC), the extent of the damage, and roof accessibility.
Mobile home roof replacement cost typically ranges from $3,000 to $8,000, making it generally more affordable than traditional home roof replacements, due to smaller size and simpler structure.
It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.
The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.
To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
