The guys got here early, were friendly, & worked hard to get the job done. The roof looked great when they were finished. I’d recommend Royal Construction if you find yourself in need of a contractor. We never had to use one before and I’m glad a friend recommended them. I will use them for any future repairs!
Royal Construction was hired for an insurance roof replacement on a property we were purchasing. We paid Eric, the owner, half of the deductible in cash and selected the shingle color. The company promptly came out to replace the roof.
After the installation, we had other contractors (including Eric's foreman) come over to work on various projects, and they commented on the roof looking like it was poorly installed. This prompted us to hire an inspector to look at it, and the roof failed inspection with numerous problems. After several exchanges, Eric came out to look at the roof. He admitted he was not present when the roof was installed, and the only oversight he provided was through pictures provided by his laborers. He defended the shoddy work done on the roof saying he didn't think the seller would be able to fund all the repairs, and he stated it was acceptable to not comply with all the code requirements if it was too expensive. After we pressed, he finally offered to come fix part of it in a few weeks.
Many months later, after repeatedly asking him, he finally sent someone out to fix the problems on the roof. The job he agreed to do was only partially completed, and the roof was left damaged and needing further repairs. He never provided direct oversight on the repair, and we never heard from him again. Several code violations remain to be fixed.
Avoid doing business with this company.
