Working with RoofTec and Joel was a pleasure from beginning to end. Joel was prompt, professional, and thorough during the initial estimate, taking the time to explain everything clearly and honestly. Throughout the project, his attention to detail and commitment to quality were evident in every step. The craftsmanship was top-notch, and the materials used were clearly high-grade—no shortcuts, just solid, reliable work. Joel clearly takes pride in what he does, and it shows in the final result. I’m extremely happy with the outcome and highly recommend RoofTec to anyone in need of expert roofing services.

Buyer beware. Unfortunately they actually live up to the negative stereotype that roofing companies already have.

Without getting into a long rant about my experience, I'll offer a few tips:

- Took half a year to get everything completed including the multiple times they had to come back to fix their own mistakes and improper installation, but then they'll have the nerve to chase invoices and threaten litigation in a hostile manner if invoices are not paid in a matter of days. They'll switch from friendly to hostile at the drop of a hat.

- Make sure everything is in writing, including your deductible amount (common sense obviously, but a lesson I need to re-learn I guess), and in my opinion do not allow them to write "+ Additional Supplements" anywhere that indicates total cost, as it will force them to bring each invoice change to you before tacking it on your invoice. In my case it was made very clear from the beginning that my out of pocket deductible was a certain amount, only to increase 2.5x by the end of the job, and I still didn't even get all the appraised damages repaired. They're own staff get confused with their invoices and how complicated they have made them, and had I not protested as much as I did, they would have never realized they were charging me for items that should have been charged to insurance, worth thousands of dollars, then they will tell you it's your responsibility to make sure their invoices are accurate (yes, they actually told me this).

Find a different roofing company, unfortunately these guys don't care about your experience, your needs, or you. Unbeknownst to them, I was planning to refer multiple family members and friends if they conducted professional and honest business, but they proved otherwise. Good riddance!

My apologies to RoofTec for this delayed review. Life just got in the way.

Every summer for several years, now, life just got in the way of my vacation, energy, patience and bank account with some home repair/replacement/remodel or project that couldn’t wait. When I thought things finally were winding down, when I was going to get some peace, the shock of needing a new roof nearly crushed me. (Um, really?) Really!! Not sure where to start, I left messages at three roofing companies. Only one called back, RoofTec. Of course, I’d never heard of them. But after scanning their reviews and 20 minutes on the phone with Travis S, I could breathe and stand up straight again. The buzz in my head was gone, and I swore I could hear the angels sing.

Yes, sometimes I am given to theatrics, but my anxiety had been normal for someone who knew zero about roofs and roofing and who to trust. But Travis was my new best roofing friend. He knew all the things. He immediately had a plan and a timeline and answers (which I would have expected), but his calm, confident manner just…put a spell on me. Within a few days he had schematics, an estimate and solid, assertive suggestions for minimizing costs while maximizing quality. He took over all insurance claim communications. He respected my input and kept me in the loop each step of the process; followed through on every detail. Never missed a beat. Extremely efficient. I felt like every time he contacted me, the entire company was standing right behind him.

Travis set the tone for my entire roofing experience with his very first call. That knowledgeable, reassuring tone continued throughout the project as RoofTec delivered - in a single day, hassle-free, and guaranteed (for 50 years!) - what they do best: state-of-the-art armor on the outside, for safe, dry, loved ones inside. That thing will outlive me, and I have peace. That’s a company legacy, right?

RoofTec provides awesome service. Travis walked me through the entire process after our roof was destroyed from hail damage. Couldn't have been any easier as he handled most of the insurance process after I filed the claim.

Rooftec did a great job replacing my roof and gutters after hail damage. They even worked with my insurance company, which nobody wants to do. They were able to find HOA approved shingles quickly even though there was a long back order. Joel was especially nice to work with and was incredibly kind and attentive.

Rooftec is a superior company. They actually believe in customer service and they follow through on what they say they will do!

The Rooftec team was really helpful in repairing/replacing some damaged roofing tiles from a recent windstorm. Couldn’t recommend them more.

Avoid this company! I had a roof leak and hired RoofTec to fix it. In about 6 months it started to leak again, from the same location. I had to pay them $300 to come out for a warranty visit, Ive never had anyone charge for a warranty visit. Their patch work started deteriorating in less than a year (see pictures). They did not attempt to correct their work, instead I had to hire someone else to correct their poor work.

The rook looks great! The communication was timely with the expectations set. I would refer RoofTec to anyone looking for a roof.

Let’s begin by saying that our journey did start off a little bumpy because our point of contact was originally slow to get us the bid to start work. That said, our repair job was a small strip of gutter during a season where lots of people were getting entire roofs replaced due to hail, so we were definitely small fish in comparison. Nonetheless, it was frustrating to follow up a few times and still not receive a bid. Once it came to the attention of the main office that the project manager was overwhelmed and not able to get back to us in a timely manner, the main office took on being the main contact and ensured the work got done shortly thereafter.

I’m a firm believer that making the experience right is way more important than always having *perfect* customer service because we’re all just doing our best. I come away thinking very positively about Rooftec from their ownership of the situation.

That said, gutters are installed and look great and we’re thrilled!

Roof Tec and Joel Thomas are really professional and precise! Joel did work on my roof and I was very pleased with the quality of the work and the pricing!

The new roof looks great! Very professional and safety conscious. Responsive and easy to work with. Our roof took a day and a half, and they completely cleaned up the yard for overnight. They put protective tents over shrubbery that was close to the house. We definitely recommend them.

He did an excellent job of answering our questions and keeping us informed. His extensive knowledge of the process, including the insurance piece and his exceptional communication skills were key to the project’s success. October 2024 - RoofTec just completed replacing our shake roof with Class 4 GAF asphalt type shingles. We have a ranch house and they completed all the work in one day. Joel was great to work with planning the project and Jorge the project manager on-site did a fantastic job explaining the procedures, answering all our questions, and doing all in his power to make this a pleasant experience for all of us, and it was. The whole team was very friendly and professional. They covered the yard and did an amazing job on clean-up. From what I have been told by experienced roofers, RoofTec uses the highest quality products and provides the best installation practices. If you need a roof, I would highly recommend RoofTec.

We have a tile roof and had some hail damage from the last few storms. There are not many roofing companies that will repair tile roofs. We contacted RoofTec and they were out the next day to fix not only the tiles that were pointed out to us from drone photos as being damaged, but also found 10 more tiles that needed to be replaced. I highly recommend this company and will use them for future care of my roof. Joel Thomas and the whole team at Rooftec have gone above and beyond everyone else to help me. Our roof is wonderful and when I had a leak, they checked the roof and found a pipe leaking on the inside of the house that a plumber missed. Shortly after we contracted Rooftec to install a new roof, my husband was admitted to the hospital followed by rehabilitation. They are by and far the best roofers I've ever worked with. I'm in property maintenance and I met them on a new 98 unit build and any issues we had we handled rapidly and professionally. I chose to use them without getting further bids on a roof patio for my A-frame house with expansive flat surface area and they knocked it out of the park with perfectly supported railings and a great roof material that was designed to walk on regularly and enjoy the surrounding scenery. I live in Manitou Springs so it's beautiful all around me with deer walking through and thanks to them I get to enjoy that with a drink up on my new rooftop deck. Well done guys :)

We did not end-up using RoofTec to replace our roof but they were a strong competitor, and I will certainly re-engage with them when we look at getting solar panels. Travis S was a huge support to us in critically evaluating different options for this project, including *solar shingles* which could have been a great option but just didn't work out in our situation. So much roofing sales seems to be about trying to exploit information imbalances and create panic with the customer, but Travis uses the opposite approach... be genuinely helpful and educate the customer. Thanks Travis!

Joel and company did a fine job.
A person can tell a lot about a company about responding to issues after full payment.
We had two issues that needed to be addressed and Joel came same or next day to take care of them.
I'd use him again for sure.

Man I can't say enough good things about Joel and Rooftec, I am in the process of selling my house and I needed a certification for a roof that was discontinued and hard to find, to make things worse, I needed this done before my closing!

Joel came to my home and with in 7 days, located the shingles, acquired them, used them to repair my roof and issued my certificate, transferable to the new homeowners man!!!

Tyler came out to Broomfield and inspected my roof and gutters. He was able to easily explain to me what was needed for me to get my home back to 100%. It was a quick and easy process and the roof and gutters now look awesome! I will definitely use him and RoofTec again in the future!

LOVE us some RoofTec! We are never going to use anyone else. Here's the story: Had another crew (not RoofTec) install a fairly tricky EPDM flat roof on a new build at our house that started leaking less two years in. I called those jokers and they ghosted us. We were headed out of town in 2 days, middle of winter, we live at 8,000ft . . . we were slightly panicked. So we call RoofTec and Brady is up here the next day. Brady finds the source of the leak and fixes it super fast. We get hammered up here with weather and roof is perfect now. Brady is an unbelievable source of knowledge and took the time to explain everything and give us tips on what to look for and how to properly maintain this weird, custom roof we have. I'll say it again: We are NEVER going to use anyone else for exteriors. My wife and I highly recommend RoofTec

We had our roof fixed by RoofTec recently. I contacted several roofers but RoofTec won my business for their professionalism and friendliness in their presentation, and they got the job done with my total satisfaction. Though I don't wish I need roof repair again, but if it happens I will use them again.

From the first boot on the roof to the last nail swept up from the driveway- RoofTec completed my reroof in *one day*, including deleting a swamp cooler and replacing some related framing and decking. Brady, our project lead, was courteous and professional. I could tell he and his team were working not only to deliver the technical excellence a roof install demands, but also earning my trust through a personal connection and clear communication.

Joel and his team are awesome. We needed help putting a roof and siding on our mountain cabin. What we really wanted was to wrap the whole cabin in standing seam metal, but we assumed it would be impossible to find someone great that was willing to work in the mountains. Joel was up for the challenge. His team had great attention to detail, a super friendly method of collaborating (and we threw a few curve balls their way), and a "lets get it done right" attitude the whole way. In addition to the roof and the siding, Joel even pitched in when I needed a hand moving some appliances, and personally helped keep the job site tidy. He made a few extra trips just to make sure everything was looking great. I highly recommend RoofTec, you won't find a harder working crew with great attention to detail.

Let me first say that I'm doing this review at the request of my parent who recommends this company. These guys did the roof on that parent's home recently and I will say that they earn the positive reviews they recieve. They were prompt and did what they said they were going to do, when they said they were going to do it. They do written contracts which is essential when dealing with any kind of building contractor. They aid you in communication with your insurance company to help try and get your roof paid for when damaged by a natural disaster such as high winds or hail.

I was around for the process and I would not hesitate to use this company, if I needed a good roofing or siding contractor. As a side note, I would like to say that I no longer give five out of five star reviews for anything unless using that product or service proves to be perfect, which is a rarety. If I were to grade this company with a percentage and 100% was a perfect score, I would give it a 90 to 95%. I would recommend doing your due dilligence when finding a roofing contractor, but I will say that this contractor is exceptional and worth your consideration during your search.

In July 2021, RoofTec replaced our old shake roof with a new GAF Grand Sequoia Armorshield. Joel was very detailed and patient in explaining the different types of shingles and all the options available. His team did tear-off, replacement and clean-up in a couple days. I am giving RoofTec, Joel and his team high marks because of their excellent product and service. I’m confident that they will back up their warranties should there be any problems.

I am so thankful for Joel's quick response to an urgent request, at least it was for me, as a new homeowner, that was only a minor issue to everyone else. He was not only responsive to our call (after making several to other companies); he also exemplified the epitome of customer service, professionalism, and sincerity, all qualities rarely seen anymore.

While this was not a roof and gutter system installed by Rooftec, he was quick to identify easy solutions that would allow better drainage from my ‘new’ roof away from my home.

I am worried that so many positive reviews will make Joel and his team inaccessible due to the craze of this housing market and so many demands for quality craftmanship and professionalism because they’re probably one of the few in the state of Colorado who still care about quality over quantity.

I say that jokingly, of course, because I would recommend Joel and his team to anyone and only wish my sellers had used this company to install my roof and gutters because it would have been done right the first time.

Rooftec did a 5 star job installing my roof and gutters. they gave me an option on my shingles. And i choose class 4 shingles witch protects my home from hail damage, i saved 30% on my home insurance . Easy, hassle-free experience! Having been a real estate broker for several years, I’ve dealt with MANY roofing companies. RoofTec delivered as promised. Quick, professional and Joel gave us daily status updates! Great new roof and an exceptional experience overall!

It is a shame that we've had to get our roof replaced twice in a 5-6 year period. We asked RoofTec to do the work this. Mainly because we needed it done as we are set to sell the house and move to a different part of the state.
Once I saw the completed roof, I'd almost wish I could keep the home to experience how well the roof would withstand the years of weather to come.
I was able to stick around most of day to hear the crew rip off the old roof and work with precision on the new one. It is a bit of a material war zone of debris around the house. I stepped away in the early afternoon and when I returned there was no sign of anything left behind. It was impressive. The next business day the gutters were installed and looked much sturdier than previous ones and the darker brown was a nice complement to the silver/grey of roof.

Update: we had another leak and Joel came out immediately to help us assess the problem. He sealed the area and then called back the next day to check in. We had a small leak still, so he came back right away and helped us get the roof patched. I can't speak highly enough about the customer service and knowledge we've received from Joel and his team at RoofTec.

I highly recommend RoofTec. Joel and his team at RoofTec were great communicators, made sure to explain everything to us thoroughly and didn't get scared away from a flat roof. These roofs are difficult to work on and they went through a process of elimination to get it fixed and our house dry. Transparent and honest, I'll definitely be using RoofTec in the future for all of our roofing needs.
