I had an amazing experience from start to finish! (Minus the part where any of this was necessary ). Brendan was super responsive and came right over to our place to check things out and give us a plan. Very knowledgeable and provided a lot of education. Throughout the mitigation process, both Terry and Nathan were on time, explained every step to me, and made sure my home was taken care of. While I can't say I was 'excited' to have Restoration 1 of Cary come to my home to inspect the attics for possible mold growth, I am glad I called them. Brendan was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable! He arrived during the allotted time window provided and called when he was on his way with an ETA. Brendan walked me through his process of what he looks for and how and kept me updated as he was inspecting the attics. He even helped me take off a covering on the wall to access an attic cause I was a little scared to do so (LOL). Brendan completed a thorough inspection of both of my attic spaces and within 24 hours provided me with multiple detailed bids for different scopes of work to mitigate the issue at hand. 10/10!

I received estimates from four highly rated firms and requested ChatGPT to compare the proposals, highlighting differences in remediation approaches and providing a cost-benefit recommendation. ChatGPT recommended Restoration 1 of Cary. After reviewing the estimates myself and reaching the same conclusion, I scheduled the work on Thursday, May 15 for a May 20 start.

The team began work the morning of May 20 and completed the project by noon on May 21. Excellent overall service at a fair cost—highly satisfied with the experience. I recommend them without hesitation.

I had the most amazing experience with Restoration 1 for my duct cleaning work.
A little background, my home is a 75+ year old two storey cape cod and I have owned it for 10 years and not had the duct work done, nor do I have any documentation of when the original (former) owners last had it done. So needless to say; it needed to be done! After renovation work on my bathroom knocked dust and particulate around in the vents the whole HVAC system was working overtime to filter everything. I called and spoke to Brendan when he came out, and he was not only hysterical and I had instant rapport with him, but he also worked with the company to accommodate my schedule for the sake of my kids not being present during the work, and I didn’t even consider using another company once Brendan came and did the initial inspection. Yeah folks - he's that good.
When Austin and Terry came out to do the job, they were as awesome as Brendan and made me feel so positive about the progress of the job, updating me at every step. They even pointed out places in my system that had been modified and cleaned them so well you’d hardly know they were the worst parts of the system. They were informative and did the job so efficiently sometimes I forgot they were there. They managed the awkward layout of the house with ease.

I will continue to reach out to Restoration 1 of Cary for any and all needs. My hot water heater located in the ceiling of my commercial space went out and began leaking through the ceiling. After speaking with Carrie, Josh was scheduled to come out within an hour. He took so much time and care to determine where the leak was coming from and ensure it was remedied so as to not cause further damage. The service is top notch!

We had a nice experience with Restoration. Working with Brendan during the assessment and quote process felt very comfortable. I took a little longer to get everything together and Brendan was patient, answered my questions and didn't pressure me. Tristan was also nice to work with when he did the actual remediation work. I always felt confortable with them and I felt they were open and honest.

After I was quoted and they began work, they found there was more concerning areas than originally thought. They communicated everything to me timely and worked out the details if the scope of the contract to make sure it was remedied effectively and I was a happy customer. I noticed water marks on my downstairs bathroom ceiling and found out it was coming from my washer which is on the second floor. My washer caused a lot of water damage to my upstairs subfloor, downstairs ceiling and surrounding walls. I had no idea where to begin. Restoration 1 took care of me 100%!! We had a terrible house fire and the restoration company we were using did not have the ability to repair my live edge desk. I made this myself and was devastated to see the condition. I have been so impressed by this company. Josh (Operations Manager) responded promptly, and showed sincere care and understanding of what it is like to be in the middle of a home disaster. He was quick to arrive and assess the issues, then provide timely and expert service in resolving the situation at hand. As a general contractor I have seen some really sketchy work by other such companies, but it is clear that these folks go the extra mile to keep current on best practices and industry standards--then provide state of the art service. There are confusing choices out there for people needing emergency help, but I personally couldn't recommend them enough. Great people to work with.

I contacted Restoration 1 after a computer battery backup system battery exploded due to power surge, as a planned power shut down by Com Ed began.

The battery explosion caused acid to spray and launched battery pieces under my office desk. As a result hydrogen gas was emitted, requiring the McHenry Fire Department to respond to mitigate any further damage/hazards and to remove the multiple batteries (including the one ruptured) as well as the damaged backup systems.

The Restoration 1 crew arrived and neutralized the acid and cleaned up the wall and underside of my desk.

They did a great professional job working in a very confined area under the desk and completed the work rapidly for reasonable cost.

I had health problems for almost two years. I went through MRI's, PET scans, CT Scans, three biopsies, pulmonary tests, and countless other appointments. No doctor could give me an answer to all my health issues.

I went on a three week vacation, and all of the sudden, I was fine. No issues whatsoever. I came home for two weeks, and all of my health problems started again. I left for another two week vacation. Again, I was fine.

When I came back from my second vacation and all of my health problems started again, I knew it was my house that was causing all of my problems.

Joe Turner and Josh Bidne were vacationing in the town where I live. I sm friends with Joe's family. They came to my house, and within five minutes, they found the issue. My dryer vent was detached, sending all the warm air and lint into my crawlspace, causing mold to be everywhere. Josh came out to examine our basement flood damage. He suggested we replace the carpet rather than attempt to dry out. He also measured dampness in wet walls and made some diy fixes for me to perform to save on repair costs. Our loss wasn’t extensive or worth attempting an insurance claim. They finished the work when they said it would be finished. The final bill came in under estimate. I recommend this company highly!

If you're reading these reviews, you're probably dealing with a very upsetting problem. I know I was extremely frustrated when we discovered toxic mold in our recently purchased home.

Throughout the process, I interacted with numerous team members at Restoration One. Communication was excellent and all services were very professionally executed.

Even though they were more expensive than other services that were quoted, I chose them because I got the impression that their approach was going to permanently solve our problems. They had the integrity to prepare me for having walls removed, sub-flooring removed, roof repair done, among other things. They struck me as the type of company that does not take shortcuts.

Other companies offered a multi-day oxidation process that treats the air in the home and would have killed active spores. But it would not have identified and solved the problems at the source. Untreated mold from inside walls and under sub-floor would just have caused new sprouts eventually. And of course, we had to repair our roof & exterior walls to stop water intrusion. R1 identified all the sources of the problem for us and patiently waited to complete the remediation until after we had all our structural repairs done.

We independently tested the mold levels before and after R1's work and I feel very confident that the problem is gone.

On top of being great communicators and very professional, everyone at R1 is just really friendly and easy to work with. I would highly recommend them to help you through difficult experience.

I used this service to clean our businesses ceiling's after a remodel, During quote phase, They seemed like a professional company, that I was told uses professional equipment and people. I was concerned about the safety as the ceilings are 20' high. This is not what I received, day one I literally got 2 young dudes and a ladder with Zep cleaner (this is a 5000 sq ft restaurant) After 3 hours of watching these guys, (I dont blame the guys they were in way over their heads) I called the rep and said this isn't gonna work and I shut down the work down. He did apologies, and stated they were short handed. (had I known that, I would had just rescheduled a different date) I really did not want to continue, but after he asked several times to give them a chance, I did give them another chance. To make a long story short, A 2 days job turned into a 2 week job. So if your looking for a professional company, who sends people who know how to operate equipment, and have concerns about the safety of the workers and risks, you may want to consider another vendor, If you have a small job they are probably ok. Be careful.

I used Restoration 1 to repair the water damage in our home. I worked initially with the owner Carrie as well as Josh and Paul who led excellent teams to complete the repair. They showed up early each day and stayed until their work was done - sometimes as late as 6:00 pm. Their workmanship was outstanding. I have truly never worked with a more responsive, competent, fantastic company ever! They care about their clients. I highly recommend them to anyone needing restorative work.

Justin and Jagger were here to clean the air ducts after a fire. They were prompt for the appointment. They worked well together. They were efficient and courteous as they told me what they were doing and freely answered my questions.

It was great meeting and interacting with Brendan. He was very personable and did a great job checking both attics for any potential problems. Our home inspector found two bathrooms vented to the attic instead of out the roof and was concerned about the possibility of mold. Brendan checked the area and to our relief there were no issues. He also suggested questions to ask our roofer regarding attic ventilation. We were very happy with the service. Restoration 1 responded quickly and we would use their service again should the need arise.

I can’t say enough good things about this company. In our water emergency, they were extremely prompt, very good at communicating, and thorough in their work. I highly recommend this company.

I can't articulate how amazed I was of all of their work ethic. I've always been burdened with the thought that no job gets done better than what I could do myself. So when my basement flooded twice in 3 weeks due to faulty plumbing from a water softener company install I was a bit worried on the Proformance of who was going to come to clean this mess up. Brandon came out and reassured me his team would handle the mess and clean up. That they did and surpassed my expectations. Great group of workers! Incredible hardwork from Justin & Austin. They were kind and totally invested in getting my home back to a clean safe environment. I can not brag about these guys more. Absolutely recommend them. They are #1!

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Restoration 1! The owner, Carrie, was available to take my calls and answer any questions (of which there were many) during all hours of the day. She was kind and helpful! Also, all the gentlemen that came to do the water damage work were very profession and timely. This is the place you'd want to go for all your water/fire restoration needs!

Justin and Brendan were extremely friendly when they came out to inquire about a possible mold issue during bathroom renovations. They were very patient while I had to make phone calls with the repairman to find out where the mold was. I appreciate their honestly in letting me know there wasn’t a mold issue.
