We were able to schedule the work within a couple of weeks. During the remediation process Russ again took pictures and showed us what they found once tiles were removed. We had several remediation companies inspect our house to quote mold remediation, and basically all they did was measure everything and provide a quote based on surface footage of
every room in the house.
Only Russ from Reliable Remediation provided a practical and sensible approach to resolve our mold problem. Russ recommended a very professional and personable mold testing company (Kathy from Applied Microbiology Services) who performed an extremely thorough inspection and testing protocol (several air samples and surface swabs) with a prompt report of the extent of the problem and recommended remediation plan.
Russ then provided a very reasonable quote and clean-up plan based on actual findings. In addition to a reasonable quote, Russ took all the time we needed to answer any and all questions and provide extrememly helpfuul advice. We can't express how helpful it was to have his voice of reason to keep us calm and help us make the best decisons for us.
And in the end, Russ and his son did an amazing job of cleaning up our basement and purlins/ceiling area. He was on time, very efficient, and thorough. We can't recommend Reliable Remediaiton highly enough, they are just the best.

Russ is truly the embodiment of the Patriarch of what the small specialized family business model. I too am a small business owner for now 35 years (Atty, Weiss, Weiss & Stamper of Danielson) and I understand that a man’s word is his bond and his company’s entire reputation rests upon the fulfillment of that promise. We contracted with Russ in the early fall as my wife had undertaken an entire master bathroom remodel. We anticipated that the project would only take a few months and because of all of the sawdust, drywall, dust, etc., we thought it would be a good time to have all of the ducts and air handlers cleaned throughout the house. Our General Contractor agreed. However, the project took six months longer than we thought! But Russ still held to his original bid even though the cost of everything had gone up. Reliable Remediation was on the list, it was local to my family, and they had great reviews; naturally we called them and spoke with Russ, the owner, directly. He was very professional and asked a lot of questions to gauge our concerns and why we wanted to get our house inspected in the first place. After talking on the phone Russ said he availability the same day so we booked an appointment. Russ came to inspect the house and talked us through some different options if it came down to needing remediation or other testing. The biggest selling point for me was his attitude the entire time - he wasn’t trying to sell us on something we didn’t need! The inspection resulted in a small area that had mold from a previous leak that we already knew about and nothing else was found; he told us we’d be able to take care of that area ourselves and suggested getting our roof looked at. Two days later he and his crew came in, finished the major work in one day, and followed up twice to monitor moisture levels. Thorough, efficient, and professional at a reasonable price.

I obtained a mold removal estimate from a popular remediation company in Rhode Island. The estimate was so high that my husband and I decided to delay the work. After three years, I started looking for a company and found Reliable Remediation. The reviews impressed me so I called and left a message. Russ returned my call within a day, on a Sunday afternoon. He set up an appointment, and was at my house within a week. His evaluation indicated that we did not have mold to the extent the previous company reported, but it was staining, which was much easier to clean. The estimate we received was 1/3 the amount the previous company had provided. We set up the date to complete the work, but had to delay for a few weeks due to the extreme heat. Russ was very apologetic and wanted to assure me that he would get the work done as soon as the weather cooperated. He completed the work and we moved on with our insulation project. I prefer to hire a small business owner over a large company, whenever possible. We were certainly not disappointed with Russ at Reliable Remediation. His honesty, integrity, professionalism and responsiveness made hiring his company a very easy decision for me.

I could NOT ask for a better experience. My husband left for a deployment and the same day, I discovered what looked to be mold in my entire unfinished portion of my basement, which compromises my home business as well next to this room. I was scared and filed an insurance claim. I didn't sleep for a solid 2 days while I waited for another remediation company to come check it out, but they were going to be almost 10 days out. To say Russ is a life-saver is without an exaggeration. I had become sick with mold toxicity but yet my house appeared to be fine. I had hired another company who did “sprayed” the hidden mold with a solution and said it was fine. I had a feeling that was off so I tried to find someone new and was very nervous to do so since I had trusted another company who clearly did the job wrong. Russ, the owner is extremely knowledgeable in his field and accommodating to your needs as a customer. Thankfully I did some research prior to hiring Reliable Remediation as the other "cookie cutter" corporate businesses did not have these kind of ratings or customer service, and now I know why after experiencing first hand. Reliable Remediation is a family owned business that actually cares about the work they perform and the needs and concerns of their clientele.
