Many thanks to the folks at Pristine Painting & Coatings for the excellent job cleaning and painting our home in June 2025.

It all started with responsiveness and great customer service. We first met Henry, the project estimator, who spent time with us learning about what we wanted done to the house. He took lots of photos and measurements for the estimate. Within a day or so we received a thorough proposal with a personalized video of Henry explaining it all in detail to us.

Once scheduled, the job proceeded on time. Work was very professional, and the house was cleaned, prepped, and then painted. The project manager, Ryan, and owners, Lauren & Kaipo, provided awesome communication throughout the job. There were four workers/painters – Jayson, DaJohn, Kaimana and Travis, who were friendly and accommodating, especially having to work around our valley rains to get the job done right. A big shoutout to Travis who made sure we were satisfied with all the painting and provided a few touch ups.

Big thanks to Pristine Painting! After taking 3 bids I decided to go with Pristine. They were the mid bid so I now know the price field. After the initial walk around and estimate I ok’d the project. The repairs were way more than the estimator and I saw. To their credit the price stayed the same! They were 15 mins early almost everyday, never late. The house looks fab and my neighbors complimented my house and the painting crew thoughtfulness. I was lucky I got Jessie’s crew, W/ Jayson, Blaze and Travis. Very personable and knowledgeable. Gavin and Mana painted the outside of our shop and they were extremely professional and kind. At one point it started raining so they had to stop but picked right back up the next day and knocked it out. Definitely will hire again.

I was very pleased. They were professional and prompt with good follow through during the bid process. It seemed to be a well run business. The two man paint crew was excellent. The were polite and careful, responsive to our requests, and they did a fine job of the drywall repair and the painting. I worked as a painter for several years in my youth, and can tell when someone knows what they were doing. They prepped carefully and had a steady hand when “cutting in” . We were extremely pleased with all of our dealings with Pristine Painting from the initial contact with Kaipo, the owner, through completion of the job. We were especially impressed with the thorough quotation that provided a comprehensive list of all areas to be painted and prepared, and it even indicated the areas that would not be painted (at our request). The painting team worked on a Saturday and Sunday to take advantage of a lull in rainy weather. We highly recommend Pristine for exterior painting, and we plan to use them again for our interior work. We have already recommended them to a friend.

Pristine did a great job at a good price. Painting and staining my house was complicated by rainy weather and difficult access. Their crew paid attention to the details and met all my expectations. The job took much longer than the original estimate in part because of rain-outs and also because only 2 or 3 people were working on it every day. But they stuck to it and got the job done and were easy to work with.

Our initial meeting with the owner, Kaipo, left a great impression. We were pleasantly surprised that Pristine Painting could do additional work such as dry wall installation and wood repair/replacement prior to the actual painting of our home. The estimate we received was very reasonable.

Jesse, Ray, Ryan and other staff members were prompt and very professional. We enjoyed their positive attitude and energy while they worked on our home.

After the staff painted the front of our 3 story home, we realized we didn’t like the trim color! We hesitantly contacted the owner, Kaipo to tell him about the change. He responded very positively and said they would gladly repaint the trim with the new color. His main concern was that we were satisfied customers! Of course, we were happy to pay for all the necessary costs involved with the additional work.

Trying to find a company to paint our almost 30+ year old house was very daunting. From the beginning Kaipo was very professional and answered any questions we had. I was pretty skeptical on how our house would turn out but when they finished…all I can say is WOW. I never thought our house was going to look as good as it did when they finished! It took a little longer than anticipated because of the weather, but Kaipo came out regularly to check on the progress and addressed any issues we may have spotted. They did so good on our house we ended up adding on a waterproofing job for our second story lanai! I highly recommend Pristine for your painting projects. Will definitely be using them again for our house projects!

My entire Pristine experience was amazing. From the consultation, to the pre visit to gathering samples of existing paint colors through to the final product, I have nothing but praise for the team. When they took the gutters off, they noticed that some the roof rafters and facia needed to be replaced and completed the woodwork in a day before painting. After the job was completed, Kaipo thoroughly inspected the house a final time and repainted a few areas that I didn’t notice. We love the fresh new look of our home, and I would recommend Pristine to anyone looking for a fair-priced, honest, professional team.

Epoxy Flooring (gray, white, and black flakes) - They filled the cracks in the ground before finishing our floor and we are just blown away by the quickness, quality and care that went into completing this project.

Interior Paint (gray, white, and black paint) - They retextured our walls before priming and painting to make sure everything looked perfect. Ultimately, they were patient and receptive to our color ideas and we appreciate their guidance throughout this process. I tend to be a perfectionist and let me just say, their cuts are so damn clean, it’s almost unbelievable! The end result was absolutely amazing and matches our new epoxy floor perfectly!

Ask them for their epoxy floor and paint packages! I promise you, you will not regret it!

Kaipo visited the property so he could do an estimate. Upon our approval, he worked with the association to assure that the color and type of paint was approved prior to painting. When I inherited my parents' house, I needed some interior painting done before moving in. I decided to contact Pristine Painting because of the many positive Yelp reviews they have. Owner Kaipo Rodrigues was very pleasant and gave a reasonable quote for the work that needed to be done. Special shout-out to worker Ray who wound up completing almost all the work by himself because his partner had a death in the family. Despite having to move furniture by himself, Ray always had a smile on his face and never complained! I am very pleased with the work done and highly recommend Pristine Painting to everyone!

They painted inside and outside very well. Their prices were very fair for the work done. They excelled in a quality job.

I recently bought an apartment on Oahu and had a lot of reno work that needed to be done. Among them was to have my ceiling floated and painted throughout my whole 2 bed, 2 bath unit (except the bathrooms and 1 closet). I vetted several painting companies and decided to go with PP&C based on their Yelp reviews and also their competitive pricing. Kaipo was very responsive and extremely professional while doing the free estimate. He made me feel very comfortable. A lot of the other contractors felt somewhat rushed or purely business or transactional in personality. I could tell that he knew what he was doing and felt confident in moving forward with him. The proposal was completed and sent to me promptly, and we slated for PP&C to finish the work in 5 days time. On the last day of work, Kaipo informed me that he had to call in extra help to finish the work on time. We showed up at the end of business to move back into our apartment. Upon initially stepping back into our place, we were extremely satisfied. Kaipo even suggested to wait until we got our furniture delivered before we had him come back for any possible touch-up work. Now that we've had time to closely inspect everything that was done, we've noticed a few things that appear to have been a little rushed or perhaps could've been done a little better. However, this is the first time we've ever owned a place and had to do a paint job like this. I am aware that no paint job can be perfect. That being said in retrospect, PP&C did a great job and any shortcomings that I discovered are pretty minor in the grand scheme of things. He sent someone over to do the touch-up work once our furniture was delivered. I didn't want to be knit-picky over all the things I found, and I just had him do some of the obvious touch-ups. I will mention that Kaipo did go above and beyond by filling in a major gap between my cabinet and ceiling, which really isn't even something that most painters are obligated to do.

They did skimcoating of bare ceiling and painted walls. Very pleased with the professionalism and quality work. Quote and timing was good. It got done as promised...maybe a day later but it happens. Thanks Kaipo!

We recently bought a home in Kaneohe with thick popcorn ceilings, various paint colors throughout the house, and dark floors. We wanted to scrape the ceiling and get the house painted white to brighten it up. I called up Pristine Painters due to their good reviews on Yelp, and met with Kaipo, who offered a fair estimate for the work. He was very flexible on the start date, which was a relief because we had issues with our closing date, but that wasn't a problem for him. Kaipo and his team did an absolutely phenomenal job with our ceiling - it went from crunchy to smooth and buttery (look at the photos)! Our walls are also now nice and bright and really lighten up and enlarge the house. We could not be happier with Kaipo and his team. Finally, Kaipo is just the best: he is responsive, reliable, and just an all-around nice, honest guy.

Based on the reviews here about Pristine Painting, I decided to give them a call. We set up a time to meet and Kaipo was right on time. He went through all options and answered my questions in great detail. We went through other quotes, but we eventually decided to go with Kaipo and Pristine Painting and I am glad that we did.

Kaipo is very genuine and cares about the customer. Kaipo and his crew treated us respectfully and made sure we were happy throughout the process. They also recommended that we paint the stairs and walkway a darker color which looked great! At the same time, we are also replacing our rain gutters and they actually replaced one of the wood pieces that was broken. Keep in mind this was not in the original quote and its these extra things that show how customer oriented a company is.

At the end of the job, everything was cleaned up. They also took me around the house for a final walkthrough to make sure i was satisfied and if I had any concerns. This is what i call service. I cannot say enough great things about Kaipo and crew. I have some interior painting project coming up and will not hesitate to call him again.

If i had to say something bad about the job, it did take longer, but it was due to some bad weather and taking the extra care to making sure the job was done right.
