Phoenix Renovation and Restoration of Kansas City

Pheonix Renovation and Restoration provided phenomenal service for a water line break in my home. They were there fast on the day of the incident, getting fans, mats and dehumidifiers set up that limited damage to my hardwood floors. The staff were kind and very helpful. Later, the restoration team, led by Emily Schmidt, took over. All of the teams that Emily brought in including drywall, millwork, painting, flooring were excellent teams, all very skilled in their craft. Emily made this all very easy for me with both very timely communication as well as handling all of the paperwork with my insurance company. If I had any issues like this again, I would certainly call Phoenix, but I certainly hope I don’t have to!

We worked with Emily on the renovation of our lower level which had an extensive water heater leak, ruining carpet throughout. She took measurements, worked with our insurance company, recommended a carpet company & representative, and she went the extra mile to accommodate our needs. Emily was conscientious, prompt, and experienced, plus thoroughly delightful as a professional person.

We called Phoenix for water remediation and they were here in a couple of hours. The staff were great from the reception desk to the technicians that came to our house. Excellent service.

Phoenix Restoration was outstanding at helping us through a ceiling collapse as a result of a tub leak. Shout out to Emily Schmidt! She patiently walked us through the process and helped us deal with the insurance company. She was magnificent. Couldn't speak more highly of her. Phoenix did a great job - the house looks as good as new now.

They did a wonderful job on my water damaged basement. Although one minor issue occurred during the work, it was resolved with no headache to me. The morals and quality of work is a breath of fresh air in today's world! I would highly recommend this company.

We were really impressed with Lucas the project manager. He was super helpful. Giving 4 stars because the work was not great. Sloppy painting and trim work. I need to go over and repaint the trim. Also when they laid the floor there are gaps by one of the toilets which is super annoying. Another floor board is loose. Lucas asked me if I wanted them to come back out and touch up but it’s not worth the headache, better to fix it yourself or hire someone new. Thought I would share an honest review. Only went with them bc that’s what our insurance recommended.

Great service from start to finish! We had water damage after being out of town. They were out the next day and started mitigation right away. Communication has been great as well as follow through on doing what they say they’ll do. Would recommend this company 100%!

Mold sucks. About 6-months ago, my wife purchased a mold test and found that we had abnormal counts in our son’s room & our bathrooms. After calling multiple different agencies, we got connected with Ben over there and we started the remediation process. Devan was the one working on our house, and he was phenomenal. The whole process was fairly stressful and Devan shot us straight every step of the way. Obviously it’s a little weird having people be at your house for long stretches, without you there but I definitely trusted Devan to get everything taken care of. Mold certainly sucks, but Phoenix got it cleared out, and I would recommend them to anyone.

We were in the midst of trying to do a lot of home repairs ourselves in order to save some money, but we were in WAY over our heads. Emily swooped in and took over and we couldn’t be more grateful! Her attention to detail and excellent communication made the whole process an excellent one. We had Phoenix help us with electrical, plumbing, and carpentry. We are so pleased, not only with the end product, but also the process in how we got there. Everyone was really great to work with. Thank you!

Overall responsiveness, quality of workmanship and communication excellent. The few minor issues that cropped up were immediately resolved which in our opinion is the best indicator of quality service.

Did an insurance claim for siding in Kansas a while back, 2020. They replaced all my siding, and ever since we have constant problems with the siding. Found out today it's because this company cut corners and did a poor job on my home, did not install proper securing pieces. They definitely work with other companies to do the actual labor, so it might be more on those workers, but I'm just stating facts. They also replaced my gutters and I also just found out they did that wrong too. Had to get about half my gutters replaced less than 3 years later... So sad to me people cannot take pride in their work and do things correctly. The leaking gutters caused no less than 6k-10k in water damage too.

Our insurance provider recommended Phoenix and we are so lucky they did! Professional from the start. On-time, thorough, caring, and hard workers. Highly recommend this company.

They were incredibly prompt and set up service size fans and dehumidifiers. It took awhile but soaked areas are now completely dry and ready for repairs and new flooring. I have been very impressed with how professional the workman have been. They keep in touch every step of the way. I highly recommend them.

We had water damage from a leaky pipe in our ceiling and Phoenix R&R was recommended to me. We worked with Emily Schmidt and she was wonderful and super easy to work with. She was very communicative, always on time, and explained step by step the whole renovation process. All of the contractors were great to work with as well. For any future projects I would use them again, hands down.

The employees that worked in our house on mold mitigation were professional and informative. The Lead supervisor kept us in the loop as to what to expect and educated us on their process. They were respectful of our property and cleaned up at the end of the day.

Phoenix did a great job on our bathrooms! They made a very overwhelming situation into a great one. Emily and the rest of the team were so easy to work with, provided constant updates, and completed the work on time. Could not be happier we decided to use them to update our bathrooms.

They did a great job with the work. Very professional. Never knew what time to expect them until the phone call stating be there in 35-40 minutes. A few times didn't get the call until afternoon. Cost seems extremely high for water removal, drying of carpet we wanted removed & removal of carpet pad.

Over two years have passed and there was a problem with the shower. Emily with Phoenix came to the house with the original subcontractor and promptly made it right. These people and their subs stand behind their work!

These guys are simply "the best". I can't say it any other way. My mom's house had a fire and our insurance company suggested Phoenix to partner with to repair the damage. We didn't know up from down, but Phoenix (CJ, Kole, Brad) stepped in and took the bull by the horns, explaining things to us so we'd understand, giving us enough information to help us make good and wise decisions, and being genuinely kind and concerned about the road ahead and compassionate about the loss we were experiencing. These guys are in high demand for a reason. The cleaning crew came in and gave us excellent service and they were equally as kind and considerate and truly represented Phoenix in a good light. At the end of the day, we made the decision to sell the house and CJ, and Kole helped us envision why that was a good idea. They never once thought about the money they'd lose in not finishing the job; they were more concerned for our well-being and that's a priceless quality in our world today. For a moment there, CJ and Kole played the "counselor" role rather than the repair and restore role, for which I am grateful. Brad was just amazing with how patient he was with me and kind as I navigated the insurance company and handling the final touches with Phoenix. If I ever need services of the type Phoenix offers, I will definitely be calling up my new friends. This team was responsive, knowledgable, and effective. Within two hours of calling them, I had one dehumidifier and seven fans to dry out the affected area. If I ever need this type of service again they would be the only team I’d call and I would recommend them to anyone!

Nick was a pleasure to work with and made a major home repair seamless and painless. We did a combo insurance claim/"stuff we need to get taken care of while we at it" that equated to pulling down all the popcorn ceiling, taking care of water damage/stains, repairing drywall, putting up knock-down ceiling finish, painting ceilings and walls, removing and replacing our stair bannister, and new carpet throughout the house.

The guys who removed the plaster and lathe and the subsequent mold were efficient and very tidy. Kirk who did the drywall and paint was incredible! Great work! Was very respectful of our home and took every effort not to disrupt our life.

They were well connected with our insurance company at the national claims office and quickly worked to get needed estimates for the claim process. Emily Schmidt did a fantastic job of staying in touch with me throughout the claim approval, material selection, and repair processes. She was clear and timely in giving me updates on when to expect various work crews and on what would happen each day. She was very responsive to any questions I had as well. All the people he scheduled to work in my home painting and installing a new kitchen floor were professional, friendly, and easy to work with. My floor came out gorgeous! The workers were completely respectful of my property, me, and my pet’s safety, and they kept everything constantly clean. Steve is one of the few people that I have dealt with who delivered what they promised and then some. USAA referred this company to me for water restoration work. The project manager was so slow to respond. I wanted to know what type of options I had to replace the flooring so requested the difference in price between materials. In both bids the materials alone were 2 and 3 times the retail listed price. After about a month he tried to tell me that his current delays were due to increased rains. That didn't explain the previous month. His bids weren't clear and I finally just tried to go through someone else. Now, I have to get lead and asbestos testing completed before I can get my floors installed. That testing wasn't included in the bid to my insurance company and wasn't discussed with me. So, my family may have spent the past three months with exposed asbestos/lead.

We used Phoenix for water removal after our main floor bathroom leaked and flooded our main floor and basement. They were at our house within a few hours starting the drying process, were respectful of our time each day when checking on the moisture levels of our floors and offered to help return rugs to their homes after drying in a different area in the house. I would recommend to anyone.

We had water damage from a faulty dishwasher that required removing the sink, cabinets on one side of the kitchen and the flooring. Emily kept our project moving forward. When one job hit a snag, she juggled the schedule to keep from delaying everything. She was truly a project manager doing her job. She communicated well to let us know when workers would come and then made sure they had done what was expected. All workers showed up on time, or even a little early. We are thoroughly satisfied with the process and all the work done by Emily and the tradesmen who contributed to the job.

Called and talked to Victoria the receptionist.seceral.times.ans she was really. Nice. I sad even if not.prefered that I still.ewnted them to come out even if it was not using the contract of usaa . Victoria was very nice and told me that was not a problem. They said that they turned off their contract with USAA cause of demand even though they showed as an option through our insurance It was a referral from our insurance company. I said regardless of whether being contracted with USAA that I'd like to still schedule with them and they sent me on a call back for Wednesday appointment. I called Tuesday to check in and then was transferred to a Drew that told me that they would not keep our appt even though they had us in their schedule already to be seen when they could.for assessment. She ended up hanging up on me. They should have told me Friday even if it was not usaa time lones. They still.would.not.see.us...

This team was so fast, friendly, trustworthy, professional and efficient. Scott, Landon, Alonzo and Daniella came in and got right down to business and made the mess better in minutes! We even laughed a little. This is an awesome company to call when things happen to your house, that are not so great!

Having a bathroom flood three days before Christmas is a bummer. Phoenix R&R of KC came in quickly on the day we had to demo our bathroom to dry it out and over the next few weeks coordinated 4 different contractors who were fast and quality and friendly. We felt we made friends with each. Emily Schmidt our rep with Phoenix, listened to us and met our every request and came with every contractor to ensure communication was clear between us and the work that was done. We were so encouraged and pleased. We will use Phoenix R&R of KC in the future, hopefully not for disaster scenarios like our bathroom before Christmas! ;o)

Emily Schmidt came in a matter of hours just a few days before Christmas to get us a bid and coordinated a team of 4 contractors to repair a dried out water damaged bathroom in a very old home. All the contractors were fast, quality and friendly. Emily listened to all our requests and exceeded our expectations. We will hire her again if the need arises we trust her professionalism.

Had water in the walls from a broken drain pipe that leaked into my HVAC vents. Phoenix restoration brought in fans and dehumidifiers and had all the water and moisture gone between the walls in under 24 hours. Will definitely use them for all my restoration and renovation needs in the future.
