Ed and Joe of Orange County Mechanical are fantastic! We use them for our annual dryer vent duct cleaning, fireplace cleaning, and any furnace issues we've had. They show up when they say they will and are honest, fairly priced, and friendly. I won't go to anyone else.

We had a difficult problem where rain water somehow reached our boiler and ruined the control panel. Orange County Mechanical attacked the problem from several angles: replacing the chimney cap with a superior model; repointing our chimney above the roof line; and adjusting the boiler flue away from the chimney bottom. I was impressed by their careful analysis of the problem which was followed up with fine workmanship.

This company is such a relief to deal with. I have used them twice and have never had an issue. They are punctual and do what they came to do. They did a chimney sweep and a camera investigation of my wood burning stoves flue to remedy the issue. First chimney sweep was a while before and I met Ed who was very straight forward and gave me tips as a new homeowner with a wood burning stove. The most recent was with Joe who was so nice and personal and explained some very beneficial tips as well with how to warm up the flue properly so you don’t get blow back smoke in the house.
Their call team is really good as well. We will definitely use them again in the future.

Ed and his team have been great to work with. They've installed a new air conditioner for me on short notice during the middle of the summer and came out to fix my kitchen sink within a day when I had a leak.

When a previous company made a mess of a central air install Ed came in and had things up and running correctly in less than a day. Also leaves the area cleaner than it was when he arrived. If you are in need of any Hvac services this is definitely the company to call.

I called in the morning because my central air conditioning unit wouldn’t turn on. It was a hot 90+ degree day in July and they were here within a few hours. They were both very knowledgeable and very professional. Ed took the time to explain everything to me in terminology that I would understand (and I know very little). They got everything up and running in an hour and my house immediately began to feel cooler. Would highly recommend!

Ed and his team were professional and provided turnkey service; removing the old equipment, flushing lines, checking remaining equipment was in good standing, installing new system, testing to confirm all operating correctly and disposing of all waste. Our old house boiler and radiant heat system needed maintenance and it was hard to find the right people for the job. Ed was fully engaged, entirely capable, and took on the repairs as if it was his own house. What a relief it is to find someone who knows what they are doing and cares about solving your problem. 5 Stars for the outstanding Job on our new Steam Boiler Friday. The project was finished up at about 5:30, and then we fired it up! The house heated up quicker and much more efficiently than that 41 year old WM could do it. Apparently, the new Boilers work more on pressure than on temperature. I highly recommend Ed O'Hara, and his Son Joe, at Orange County Mechanical, in Warwick, NY for any of your Plumbing and HVAC needs here in Orange County, or in Rockland County as well. Five thousand dollars less than the huge Mega Plumbing House that's in his Business's same town. Bigger isn't always better, it's just more! I'll take the smaller Family Business any day! We had them install mini-split A/C systems throughout the house after moving into an older home with no central air. Ed, Heather, and the crew were amazing. Super friendly, communicative, on-time, and very responsive. The install was extremely smooth and Ed and his team did an amazing job. Extremely neat and professional installation just in time for the summer heat! Ed also gave a recommendation for a great electrician that we used and would use again in a heartbeat.

I highly recommend Orange County Mechanical. We’ve had them out 3 times since we moved here a few months ago. We had our chimneys cleaned and repaired and they installed a new pellet stove insert. Joe and Matt are professional, courteous and all around pleasant guys. Correspondence with Heather and Ed has been easy and straightforward and the prices seem very fair for the work we’ve had done. On top of that they have a broad scope of services so it’s pretty much a one stop shop for most of your home’s maintenance needs.

Ed repaired my chimney’s refractory panels this past weekend. He was extremely responsive, prompt, professional, and respectful of my home while he was working. He is skilled at what he does and is also extraordinarily fair and upfront in his pricing. I would highly recommend him, and plan to continue utilizing his services in the future.

We used Orange County mechanical to troubleshoot our failing water softener. I was able to get a prompt appointment and the office staff were courteous and friendly. Ed performed diagnostic testing and was quickly able to determine that it had reached end of life. We were doing an addition with a GC and had our boiler stop working over the weekend after the GC'd hired guys had hooked up a new gas line. They had come back, fiddled with the boiler, told me it was fine, left again, and then it stopped working again. I called Orange County Mechanical for a second opinion and Ed was at our house within a half hour of calling. It turned out that the previous group's fix was highly unsafe and our boiler was not burning safely and was kicking out extremely high levels of carbon monoxide. Ed physically showed me exactly what was wrong, talked me through all of my options, and was able to get me a replacement boiler installed into a difficult location without damaging any of the surrounding area. Our new, SAFE, boiler works beautifully and has actually lowered our gas bill since it's more efficient. I couldn't be happier with the work and professionalism of Ed and his team. I highly recommend Orange County Mechanical to anyone who wants to work with a skilled, professional who is also ethical, informative, and fairly priced. I would give more stars if Google had that option.

After calling two other plumbers on Tuesday and Wednesday and receiving no response I called Orange County Mechanical on Thursday morning and had a call back within a half hour. They were terrific to deal with and did a wonderful job in replacing my heating system. I would absolutely, and will recommend them to everyone I know. I will be having them back in the spring to service my AC systems.

Ed Installed a new 2 zone Central Air System in my home. New Duct work and everything else. They we very prompt and professional and explained everything. The job was completed on time and his price was reasonable compared to other installers. I am very satisfied with the work and would definitely recommend Orange County Mechanical.

Ed and his crew just replaced my 19 year old air conditioning system and we are very happy with it. After giving me an estimate (promptly on the date and time he said he would be there), we set up an install date and he showed up right on time and did a great job removing my old unit and installing the new one in an extremely hot attic, on a 96 degree day. Never once did they complain about the heat or being uncomfortable. When they finished, they cleaned up the house and removed all the debris and left it as clean as before they started. Ed and his guys are very professional and very good guys to work with. Most importantly, the Trane system is great and he didn’t try upselling us a very expensive system like the larger companies did. Don’t waste your time with getting a bunch of estimates with the huge companies that have a ton of overhead and operating expenses, get an estimate with Orange County Mechanical first.

Ed and his helpers worked with us this Fall to help get a new refrigerator installed. Then last week they did a difficult installation of two new toilets in our home. He is reliable, hard working, and pleasant. We will continue to call on him in the future.

You can't go wrong hiring Ed to fix or install any HVAC systems or plumbing issues. This past summer Ed sold me a 3 ton Trane unit that fit my needs.He didn't try to up sell me on unnecessary bells and whistles. He stressed energy efficiency and a Trane unit with a 10 year warranty on parts that fit my needs and wallet.
He is super neat with his install and will not leave until everything is running perfectly. Who wants a call back?Not the customer or the installer.He even filed all the paper work for the Trane warranty,which was a nice touch.
I have also used Ed for any plumbing issues that I can't tackle on my own,and He always answers the phone personally, which I like.No answering service,which can be a hassle in a emergency.
To sum it up,I am very happy with his work,and He will always try to save me money by doing the job the right way the first time.

I called Orange County Mechanical after seeing great reviews on Angie’s List. I needed to have 2 central air systems replaced. The owner Ed O’Hara, responded to my email right away and set up an appointment to give me a free estimate. When he came over, he gave me a very fair price for the replacement of the 2 a/c systems, compared to other estimates that I got and he did not try to sell me anything that I didn’t need. He was so nice to work with and started the work when he said he would and completed the job expeditiously. He put tarps down over all of my carpets and cleaned everything up when he finished. I would highly recommend Orange County Mechanical and would definitely use them again!

At the end of July during the hottest days of the year, I lost BOTH A/C zones at the same time in my home. Needless to say, it was very hot in the house. I called Orange County Mechanical for an estimate after seeing exceptionally high reviews from both Angie's List and Google reviews. The owner, Ed O'Hara, came over the next day, gave me an estimate and literally "walked me through" everything that was needed to do to get the two zones back up, answered all questions, and the complete cost. Since I had a "builders" A/C system over 15 years old, it used freon which is no longer available along with two very inefficient condensers. I needed to replace the whole A/C system. He didn't try to sell things that were not needed, just what was needed to have a practical high efficiency two zone A/C system at an excellent price. Before he had left, he took the time to check the A/C condensers to see if he could get them up and running, at least until he could install the new system. Fortunately, he was able to get one of them running just enough to cool some of the house and he didn't want anything for it. It two days to remove the old equipment from the attic and outside and replace it with a new higher efficient two zone Trane A/C system. He put down floor protectors everywhere, left everything clean upon completion, removed all the old equipment and debris and swept the driveway clean when they were finished. Ed and his workers were very professional and polite throughout the whole time they were installing and removing equipment. Obviously he takes pride in his work and I highly recommend this company to all my friends and family and will be using him again. A job well done!

Ed O'Hara/Orange County Mechanical just finished installing a split AC system in 2 rooms in my house, and I couldn't be more pleased. His prices are fair; he answered all my questions; the quality of the workmanship is top-notch; the equipment is impressive (Mitsubishi); the people who work with him are very good & well supervised; and the job sites were left in very clean condition.
