Our first exposure to Oak Ridge came in 2016 when Nick and his crew repaired years of damage that came with our newly purchased 160 year old farmhouse. Then as now, they aren't the cheapest contractor out there, but they will come out to tackle tough issues and get the job done right. They just finished the reconstruction of our screen porch, turning it into a 4 season sunroom. Nick and Eric were outstanding to work with. They sent out a very capable team of carpenters, Ben and Ian, who worked like beavers for about 2 weeks, making the transition perfect. They were remarkably attentive to our concerns as well as very polite and tidy. Their painter, Tom, also deserves mention for his amazing detail work and patience. He must be a perfectionist. Overall, the sunroom turned out better than expected. I can see why Oak Ridge is a growing company. I hardily recommend them and hope they continue to experience success in their business.

We went through Oak Ridge for a new roof on our house. The entire process was seamless. Nick was great to work with and proactive with communication. Work was excellent and completed quickly. Highly recommend!

I had Oak Ridge out to replace rotten sections of siding. The paint match was spot on! The only way I could tell what was replaced was the new wood has a more live grain from being new timber. Cleaned up well and even addressed the old improperly installed siding along the roof edges. Very Happy.

Thanks to Oakridge, our home was repaired properly. We had a pop-up hailstorm that damaged the siding. Insurance company's offer was to only replace one side of the house with a non-color match siding and then paint to match as close as possible. Nick advised me of future problems that would result with this repair. He not only advised and educated me so I could effectively communicate with my insurance company but was personally on site during the initial adjusters visit as well as the requested independent engineer's inspection. Thanks to owner Nick, right hand man Tyler and project manager Eric and crew our home was completely re-sided with a high-quality James Hardy product and looks AMAZING! Oak Ridge Contracting has done a very significant amount of work in my house 2022, 2024 and 2025. They are amazing. They do quality work with fair pricing. They stepped up on what was supposed to be a small project that turned out needed a lot more work than we expected and did an awesome job. They responded to an insurance claim when ice took out a big chunk of my deck. Most recently, they quickly inspected and replaced a bunch of windows that had damage from rot that was found prior to house sale. I will definitely call them again for any kind of work that needs to be done. Nick Venes (owner) is always on top of things and very responsive. His guys are the best!

One star is given out of fairness to our designer, who had excellent communication and ideas. Beyond that we were very disappointed in the lack of transparency and downright dishonesty. We were provided a budget range to expect at the start of the design process, and when the estimate presented at the end was greater than double the high end, were told there was a mistake in the original budget goal. We were told we should be able to work back down to our ideal budget, and started cutting items. A few days later we were told our estimate had actually started $10,000 higher than what was originally presented, and even cutting our project down to a tiny fraction of the original plan STILL resulted in a projected cost that was double what we'd been told to expect. We were never allowed to see the estimate despite being given a misleading description of their process as including a detailed, line-item estimate. Business is business and we understand they want to demand a certain price for their work. However, they should have been honest about how high that is from the start, as now we've wasted thousands of dollars and many months, and are no closer to our goal.

In June of 2024 we sustained damage from a tornado. Our neighbor recommended Oak Ridge to us and within hours of our call Nick had his team on site to stabilize and tarp our home.
From day one, Nick, Tyler and Hanna were there with us every step of the way. From being on site every time our insurance company appraisers were there to working with their, and the insurance company's, engineers, to taking on the unenviable task of working directly with the insurance company to get a fair appraisal as well as staying well within budget.

Nick and company made our house whole again after a drunk driver drove through my daughter's room last year. I work in construction myself, every stage of construction met residential codes and my value of workmanship. Oak Ridge negotiated with insurance on our behalf for 6 months to cover 100% cost of the damages (double of initial insurance payout offer) My wife and daughter could focus on physical and mental health. I didn't have to take work off at all to deal with insurance or construction. We are thankful to have what I believe is the best outcome out of our situation. My daughter absolutely loves her bedroom again!

We had a great experience with oak ridge contracting doing our roof this summer. They were able to complete our roof in a little over a day with no issues. Oak Ridge performed a complete roof replacement on our farmhouse. Previously, we had a mix of old 3-tab and dimensional shingles that were worn and beginning to leak. They did an excellent job installing a new Lankmark system at a fair price. The Oak Ridge team was responsive to all our questions and concerns, providing exceptional customer service. Nick and Tyler from Oak Ridge Contracting have been perfect with their communication. We had some hail damage that my insurance company was denying. They worked with them and obtain an engineer to come out and look. It did not go in our favor, but what I was surprised about was Oak Ridge communication. In modern times I feel like "old school" communication is a lost art for many companies but not with Nick. When you call they answer or will call you back if they can not talk. Sometimes followed back up with a next message. They certainly have my business when we are ready to replace our roof, siding, soffit and fascia board. Looking to replace this Fall or next Spring.

Our renovations are starting to happen. Everything leading up to this point has been great. Nick and the team have been open and honest with the process, cost, and timing. They also have been good with our dogs and cats every time they’ve been to the house. We are excited to start demo and see the craftsmanship they offer.

I had a tree fall on my house in June 2023. The man who removed the tree recommended Nick at Oak Ridge. I have never been through a claim like this, and I was unsure of where to start or what to do. Nick negotiated with my insurance company on my behalf and got me new roof, gutters, and siding. I am very happy with the completed work and the contractors who did the work had high quality craftsmanship and were professional while at my home. Nick has come over to do a final inspection to reassure me that everything met his standards. Countless neighbors have stopped to tell me how great the exterior of my home looks and I agree! Since Oak Ridge was putting a roof on my new construction in Franklin WI, I thought I'd give them a shot at replacing the storm damaged roof on my existing home in Waterford WI. Bought a new home knowing it would need a new roof. Nick, Hannah, and Abbey were amazing to work with from bid to finish. Nick recommended new gutters as it would allow a better finished product and I was hesitant as they looked "fine", but oh man those were rusty where you couldn't see it and I'm glad I listened. They really care about you getting a quality finished product that will truly last. The installers were fast and still did a quality job. I've never seen straighter roof lines. I am in the process of using them for my flooring and carpeting and Hannah took the time to bring plenty of samples and help my wife coordinate colors and I cannot wait to see the finished product.

We have worked with Oakridge on a few different projects over the years (interior and exterior work). We recently had Oakridge do a full room remodel and bathroom. It was a room that just wasn’t working: weird carpet, no shelving, windows on every wall. We felt lost in how to arrange the room and use it. Their team came in and looked at our house as a whole to get the vibe and design down. We talked about what we wanted and needed, shared things we saw and liked. Working with their design team was fantastic! We felt heard and understood. Everyone asked really great questions to make sure that we were all on the same page. I also really appreciated that while they listened to what we thought we wanted, they also offered up other ideas that we never would’ve thought of on our own. We were able to see a few different versions of the room and the bathroom, change some things to see how different things would look, and then choose from these mock-ups that were amazing! At each step, we got to see the plans for the room and OK all of the different details related to it. The materials and products they use are of incredible quality! It’s one of those situations where I know that they have done all the research to figure out what the best materials are, which means I don’t have to do any of that, but if I have any questions about why they are using something, they have an answer as to why they’ve chosen what they’ve chosen. I can’t say enough about the design team. Abbey has been wonderful to work with! They are so easy to work with, and the attention to detail is incredible.
Working with everyone at Oakridge is incredibly easy and comfortable. They take such good care of your space while they’re working in it. I have felt very comfortable with everyone that has been in my home. My garage and driveway were so well swept and cleaned up at the end of the day. My floors were covered to keep them in good shape, etc. They go above and beyond to keep your home protected. Any materials that were being used and left each day in the bathroom or the room they were remodeling were well organized. Everyone is incredibly kind and helpful and thorough with the work that they do. Communication with everyone is so easy. Hannah, Eric, and Nick are great at being in contact with you about what is happening currently and what the next steps are. If I had a question, I never felt like I was bothering anyone and they always managed to find an answer quickly if they didn’t already have one. I also found things that I would think of related to the project where things that were already on their radar and they knew when it was going to be completed. We very quickly fell into a daily routine of who was showing up each day, what time they were showing up, etc. Everyone is incredibly respectful of your space and how to insert themselves into your home in a way that helps them get their work done, efficiently and effectively, and allow you to live your life. Everyone that Oakridge works with is also fantastic!
As for the room and the bathroom, they are absolutely gorgeous! We could not be happier with how they look and feel. Anytime we have someone over, the amount of compliments we get about these two spaces is incredible. While these two rooms are brand new, they blend seamlessly with the rest of my house, but also elevate the design of my home at the same time. The room and bathroom both feel so welcoming and usable and just perfect for our family. They rearranged how the space is used in our bathroom to make it so much more functional. The room that once had no direction is now this beautiful space filled with amazing bookshelves. The design team even helped us pick out the furniture in the room to make sure that the end product works for us in every way! The quality of the fixtures and the woodwork is amazing, and all of it will stand the test of time. Oakridge took two spaces in my home that felt hard to use and like they didn’t work for my family and turned them into two spaces that we love so much!

We dealt with a June 2022 hail storm . We contacted Nick at OakRidge the next day. He came the same day to walk us thru the process and then again with our insurance adjuster. He was very professional and sensitive to our circumstances. We had a new roof on within two weeks of the storm and we were pleased with the roof and crew. A friend recommended Oak Ridge Contracting to me and I reached out to them for quote. They came in a timely manner and agreed to work with me on scheduling sometime in the summer before September. Their price was right in the middle of all my quotes and the integrated system they use convinced me to go with them. They contacted me with an opening and within a week I had a brand new roof on my house. Work was done and cleanup completed in two days.

We hired Oak Ridge to do our soffit, fascia, and new gutters. They were very timely and the project got done way faster than I expected. They made sure we were 100% satisfied with all aspects of the work and didn’t hesitate to make sure everything was perfect. Everything turned out beautiful and it completely changed the look of our house. We are very happy with our experience!

In June of 2022 we had a hailstorm that came through our subdivision and did significant damage to our property. Nick at Oak Ridge Contracting was recommended by a neighbor, and we have been very pleased with the time and effort he has put into helping us get our roof, gutters and siding replaced. For the roof and gutters, the insurance adjuster and Nick agreed about replacement. The siding however, the adjuster deemed that it just needed to be cleaned. Oak Ridge took care of replacing the roof and gutters and did the power washing of the siding. Power washing did not resolve the hash marks that covered our home. Nick came out multiple times over the course of a year taking pics that the insurance company kept asking for and they continued to deny replacement of our siding. Another adjuster was sent out to look and now they stated they are only going to replace part of the siding. This would look ridiculous as the siding would be two different colors due to fading over time. Once again Nick helped with pictures, and we were finally able to get the insurance company to pay for replacement of all our siding. Nick at Oak Ridge Contracting has been an incredible advocate in working with the insurance company and us to get our siding replaced. I highly recommend Oak Ridge Contracting.

I had come to learn that we had water leaking into our attic due to a poor roof install DIY job done by the previous home owners. The decking under the roof shingles was starting to mold! So I started to look into getting estimates for having our roof replaced. I literally went through 7 different vendors and listened to their sales pitches, which were all closely the same, but with different twists around covereage and pricing based on the shingle distributor they used. Certainteed shingles seemed to be a higher quality manufacturer that was common among several of the vendors I researched.

No one seemed to really care about the mold or decking concern I had until Colt came into the picture from Oak Ridge Contracting. He was only 1 of 2 companies that actually went up to take a look to see how bad it was. He helped us determine the best way to address the problem in additionto giving us a new roof to prevent it from happening in the future. I felt that Colt was honestly concerned about the issue and the impact having mold in the attic could have on my family. Colt was easy to relate to and didn't come off as a pushy sales person at all, which I very much appreciated. They were very comparable with other roofing companies in pricing, plus had access to expertise in other areas should we have needed it since they are a full fledged contracting company and not just a roofing company. Long story short, once I signed the contract with them, they were able to get a crew out to complete the job within a few days. Colt stayed on site as the Project Manager and ensured the crew addressed and replaced all the moldy decking. He kept me informed throughout the day on what was happening and the status of the job, as well as any other findings they happened upon. The job was completed in 2 days and now I have a quality new roof that I can feel confident in protecting our home for the next 50 years :). I highly recommend Oak Ridge Contracting, Inc. They are honest and ensure quality workmanship is done and that the customer is pleased with the outcome.

We hired Oak Ridge Contracting to finish our basement, as well as helping us with several main level renovations and upgrades. Since we decided to tackle this all at once, our home was open to the Oak Ridge team for many months. At the end of every work day, spaces were left clean & tidy. Communication happened daily. We never felt that they lacked transparency, honesty or integrity. Even amidst a few supply chain issues, every singe day we could see visual progress. Every Oak Ridge person we worked with was kind, genuine, and took pride in their work or role in our projects. They are a fabulous group, that delivers QUALITY home renovations. We could not be happier with the outcome and are proud to recommend them.

Our home was heavily damaged in a hailstorm and within a day or two we were beset upon by multiple contractors cold calling and knocking on our door offering their services. I really didn’t want to hire a storm chaser so I did a little research on local contractors and eventually contacted Oak Ridge Contracting. Nick came out promptly to assess the damage and walk us through the process since we had never had work done under a large insurance claim. He gave us advice on what to watch out for and patiently answered all of our questions. We selected Oak Ridge and over the next few weeks ended up having multiple revisions to our claim with no less than seven different adjusters. Nick stayed in close contact with us and made certain that he was present for multiple different inspections by the insurance company. This was invaluable. He was able to speak their language and build a good rapport while advocating on our behalf. During the time that all this was being settled, Nick also made several visits with roofing, siding, and flashing/gutter metal samples for us to choose from. He gave us loads of information on the different grades of materials, the costs and benefits of each, which materials would have longer lead times due to ongoing shortages, and what would likely be covered by insurance. He also gave suggestions on some relatively small stylistic changes on our exterior that would really end up updating the look of our home. When the work began it was obvious that we had made a great choice. The roofing and siding crews were very efficient, focused on keeping the site clean, and were extremely courteous. With many different contractors working in our neighborhood it was easy to see just how much better the Oak Ridge crews were. Further, the project managers/supervisors from Oak Ridge were present multiple times every day helping to resolve challenges and ensure that everything was running smoothly. When the work was done I spent considerable time inspecting it but I did not find anything that was incomplete or needed to be corrected. The quality of the work is excellent and our home looks beautiful! Nick clearly cares about his customers and that shows through in the quality of work and customer service that the people of Oak Ridge Contracting provide. We wholeheartedly recommend them.

In a world where contractors are devaluing the importance of communication, or where they "ghost" their customers when things go wrong with a job, Nick is a refreshing change! Nick took care of replacing our roof the week of Christmas after a wind storm blew through. Even though he was sick, he still rallied a team to get it done. And when we had a couple questions about some parts of the job and process, he was very responsive and communicative in helping us get those questions answered, and making sure we were comfortable with the end result. Oak Ridge Contracting will remain on my list of contacts to call again for future home improvement projects.

We have had a few jobs with Oakridge Contracting this past year and we could not be more pleased with the expertise and craftsmanship. We have worked with other contractors in the past and it was so refreshing to have someone who was honest with us through out. They did an excellent repair on our roof of our last house along with fixing the drywall inside our home. Once we moved into our new home we had a big leak in our ceiling from a plumbing issue. Nick was able to get us in quickly for the repair! We also had tile placed and turned out great! I can’t say enough about how clean they kept their work space at all times. We have two little kids and I felt like they couldn’t get into anything because they taped off with a drape where they were working. They also vacuumed at the end of each day. They are efficient, take pride in their work, and don’t take any shortcuts. We highly recommend!!
