Daisy came to my house for an on-site evaluation regarding re-roofing and solar installation. She was professional and knowledgeable. She took time to walk me through the process. Estimates were provided the next day, and she was responsive to follow-up questions. She even returned a second time for additional questions. Great experience.

NRG came recommended to us for our roof and gutter installation, as well as solar. To start, they damaged our property by running over mature cacti plants and breaking off parts of our cement driveway. We received a complaint from our neighbor that the guys installing our roof were staring at her and made her very uncomfortable. The guy who dropped off our solar panels came alone, then asked my partner to help him unload the pallet, which is both wildly unprofessional and also incredibly dangerous. My partner ended up injuring himself and the company has done nothing about these claims we already filed with them. We approved a layout of the solar panels and they went against what we approved, without mentioning a word before or after installation. They offered no real catalog or color swatches for our gutters.This is just the tip of the iceberg, and we'll be submitting another review shortly to further explain our horrific experience with these totally incompetent people. PLEASE STAY AWAY.

I am grateful that I found Asaf and his team at NRG to work on my renovation needs: roof build, solar panels and batteries installation. Their team have walked me through each and every step of the process, (finally) making this easy/accessible for me and my family to understand how to navigate which batteries and panels to select, which materials for the roof, etc... All my previous experiences dealing with other construction companies have always confusing making things complicated and not transparent for me. The key things I liked the most about working with Asaf and team are: transparency, speed and reliability. These are all the main reasons why I would recommend NRGUpgrade, so don’t think twice and go with them. The best part of all this...thanks to NRG I had access to great financing options which are making this effort almost free for me considering all the $$ I’ll be saving in energy bills.

Just sharing my experience with the company. Ended up cancelling the contract so I can't speak for the quality of end product. The reason for the cancellation is that the company wanted to add extra amount ($ 5300 to be exact) to the original amount $40k, which is 13+ % extra, after the contract was signed. To their credit, I was notified of that before the project starts.
That is my experience. Yours might be different from mine.
The reason for this review is I checked online reviews regarding the businesses to help me make my decision.

Daisy was not pushy when she met with me and my husband. She made sure to ask lots of questions to make sure we got a quote for exactly what we needed. Some people try to talk you into more than you need and this was not the case here. Good experience overall.

I requested a quote on Yelp. Levi showed up on time with a briefcase, and wearing a mask. He climbed up on a ladder and checked out both the roof and attic. The consultation went thoroughly. He explained the materials, working process, and answered any question we had. The quote was reasonable.

My city had a delay in processing permit due to COVID-19. Levi and Myra are patient and kept us posted. Once we got the permit, NRG upgrade started the project immediately. All crews work in a timely manner as they promised. We noticed one rafter didn't touch the fascia board. Levi worked his best to remedy it. We had all rotted wood, facia boards, and a rafter replaced with no extra charge.

Although there are some minor issues about cleaning and damaged items, overall we are very pleased with the new roof. Levi is professional, reliable, and up front. I would definitely recommend working with him.

NRG pulled off what seemed to be impossible. I was so impressed with the determination these guys had. The completed job on time speaks for itself. From the sales team to the inspection these guys were on time and on budget. Skylight’s are not easy business but NRG made it painless. The friendly staff was always there to help with questions during the job. Estimate was spot on. They were safe and respected our home. I don’t look forward to any roofing stuff but when it does happen I call NRG. Good luck !

Our experience with NRG was not a customer and salesman relationship, it was more like a friendly communication and everything was easily done. We recently installed solar panels on our house roof and we are very satisfied with their work that has been done. Of course I was shopping around with other solar companies, but NRG had the most affordable pricing plan and quality solar panels that I could get. I chose NRG Upgrade for my solar installation because of the quality of the components being used. A lot of the other vendors were using cheap foreign made panels. They were able to explain how this would affect us in the long run and made a lot of sense. The technician that came out to check out our roof was able to make a seemingly complicated subject very simple to understand. The crew was very very professional and showed me exactly how things were installed onto the roof before they even started anything! Not only was the system installed quickly, but there was minimal interruption to my day to day life. The installation only took a couple of days and then we were up and running. The biggest plus for NRG was that I would say is how easy to get a hold of them was. Since this was an investment I really appreciated how I could get a hold of the office or the technician whenever I had a question. That really made me feel good about my choice. Very impressed!

I cannot express enough appreciation for the team/staff members at NRG UPGRADE. They came highly recommended by a very close friend.  The tech was extremely professional, knowledgeable, patient and dedicated to his work and his customer's best.

The consultants explained the process in detail and answered even my most obtuse questions. The tech that came out took pictures from the back house, got on the roof - took more picture from the roof and we had our permit within three weeks and the job was complete in two days!! The solar panels and arrays are beautifully designed on our roof and the wire run and conduit are very professionally installed without being an eyesore which was my main concern because I see some homes with panels where you can see everything and I did not want my roof looking nappy.

NRG Upgrade is the gold standard for solar energy design and installation in Los Angeles. They explained all aspects of the solar installation thoroughly from - rebate information, installation procedure, warranty or pricing. The entire quote was sent to us with all information included, including the equipment datasheet. The installation went very well and exceeded all expectations. They went above and beyond as they cleaned up after themselves including making sure the area they worked at was in a better condition than when they first started. Their installation is professional and made sure it was also cosmetically beautiful.

Just started working with NRG Upgrade in an attempt to save money by installing solar panels. When I first reached out to the business, the office explained everything involving the price, the process of work, contract, different options and had a choice of what was in our favor. This company made it really quick and easy for me. I read the reviews online, I liked what I saw, so I gave them a try and called the office. The office was so polite and seemed like they knew what they were doing in terms of work, so I got a good impression right away.

I got excellent service from these guys, they went above and beyond to answer all of my questions and get my mother's home installed with solar. Thanks to NRG I can now save money every month because I got the team to install the solar panels in my house. Moving into a brand new home causes you to have many different and high expenses. I needed to install brand new solar panels in my home, so i could start saving as soon as i possibly could. I decided to consult a professional in the industry once I decided I wanted to know more about solar. I called NRG Upgrade and asked them to do a free consultation for me. NRG Upgrade replaced our windows. The difference in our heat and air bill is definitely enough of a difference that it was well worth it. We also now have nice upgraded looks as an added bonus.

So happy we finally did this! I have to admit I was a little skeptical at first.... We got the solar panels installed and it’s been a few months now and I’m so happy we did it. The crew did a great job and finished within the time frame they promised. I’ve been telling all my friends and family to do it as well because it almost gives you a fixed rate for your electricity. Since it’s only my husband and I, our panels provide more energy than we actually use so I don’t have any additional electricity payment to make. Best decision we’ve made in a long time!

Our Solar System was installed in late June 2017 for our home in Los Angeles. Installers were professional and fast and I was completely satisfied.
The solar system has worked perfectly and is properly sized for our energy needs. Most months we pay the required minimum to cover the base meter fee and the taxes. On an annual basis, we produce more energy for the grid than we consume from the grid.
We also replaced our roof so it will support our new solar system, the process was fast and clean, the price was fair and they kept their word.

II am very impressed with this company.  I researched solar companies and got a couple of estimates.  NRG UPGRADE gave me a great price, but also, importantly, they were terrific to deal with.  My sales person, Ace b, explained everything clearly, and was very patient when I asked him to repeat things.  The process begins with an appraisal of your situation - how many panels will you need, does your roof get sufficient sun, how many panels will fit in the sunny parts of your roof, etc.  After that, you sign the contract.  They then take care of EVERYTHING.  They deal with the city and the utility company through the permitting and inspections.  Their customer service is remarkable.  Ace responded to every question promptly and cheerfully.  He didn't even mind re-sending e-mails that I lost.  I felt completely taken care of.  Once the installation was complete, they got the utility company to get us up and running within a week.  Fantastic!

The cost of our project was just about $30,000.  My wife and I decided to do this now because the tax deductions may go away at the end of this year.  We are very glad that we went with NRG UPGRADE.  They get our highest recommendation.

We went solar a few weeks ago, NRG upgrade installed the panels on our roof and we had a great experience with them. They informed us as they moved along what was happening. They took care of all the permits and authorizations and we only had to deal with them. They were very nice, accommodating and professional. I started looking into solar energy after my father-in-law had a system installed in his house. Although they had another company do the install I was a little picky and sought out someone else for my needs. After an exhausting research on the internet and reading the numerous reviews on Yelp and other websites, I narrowed it down to three companies and scheduled appointments. After receiving quotes I decided to go with Nrg upgrade. I received a lower quote from another company which Nrg upgrade easily matched. Daniel was my consultant and I found him to be very professional at the same time knowledgeable about the product he was presenting. Absolutely no pressure during our meeting and when it was all said and done he shaked my hand and assured me I picked the right company. Before leaving he purchased several raffle tickets from my 12-year daughter who was selling them for her soccer team. Daniel you are a class act ! The crew that came out on the day of installation was equally professional as Daniel and extremely polite when asking them if they could re-route some conduit so it would be out of view. I hate the sight of cables, etc and anything they could do to minimise it would be great in which they did. Overall the process was painless and I wouldn't hesitate for a minute to recommend this company.  In closing I want to thank the entire staff at Nrg upgrade with their customer service and being prompt with returning phone calls, text messages and emails. You made this experience pleasurable and without incident.

NRG UPGRADE delivered! Customer service team is friendly and knowledgable. Installers show up on time and do clean work that easily passes city inspection. Should something go wrong they go above and beyond to correct it.

Highlights from the work done on my house:

When the panels in our contract were out-of-stock by the manufacturer, they offered to install upgraded, more efficient panels at no additional charge to move the project along in the time promised.

They handled everything from A-Z including coordinating with the city to upgrade my electrical service, upgrading and moving my electrical panel and filing for city rebate.

I tracked the project using their online management software that allows you to follow the progress of your project step by step and download any docs you may need.

Since buying a home I've had mostly bad experiences working with contractors, but this whole project was refreshingly smooth. I'm sure I annoyed them with my calls following up with every detail, but there really wasn't any need to. These guys are pros and I would gladly recommend their services to my family and friends.
