Customer feedback is mixed regarding Northern Neck Fence Company. While many reviews praise the company's communication, professionalism, and timely delivery of services, some customers have reported serious issues with communication and execution. Positive reviews highlight the team's attentiveness during the installation process and the quality of the work. However, negative experiences indicate that some customers faced delays and poor installation practices, leading to dissatisfaction. Overall, the company demonstrates strong capabilities but has room for improvement in consistency and follow-up.
- Frederick and his team did a fantastic job.
- They communicated with us throughout the process, from planning to design and installation.
- The installation was completed in just one day, and we love our new fence.
- I was extremely pleased with how quickly the owner provided an estimate.
- The crew and foreman completed the backyard fencing, including cleaning up.
- I submitted an online request for a call to schedule an appointment for a quote on fencing and gutter work but never received a response.
- No one showed up, and I didn't receive follow-up or explanation.
- I was told the job would take 2-3 days. What I ended up getting was a fence that was installed in 1 day.
- The posts had no time to set in the tiny amount of concrete that was used.
- Nothing was leveled.

I don't typically write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience based on communication- or lack thereof. I submitted an online request for a call to schedule an appointment for a quote on fencing and gutter work but never received a response.
I've since called three times. While the owner did eventually reach out and set up an appointment, no one showed up, and I didnt receive follow-up or explanation. I've left multiple messages with different staff members and have only received one return call.
As a business owner myself, I find this level of communication unprofessional. If getting a basic call back is this difficult. It makes me question how the installation process would go. I completely understand that things come up and businesses get busy, but a simple courtesy call to reschedule or inform me of a delay would go a long way.
I'm still open to updating this review based on future service--if and when it's performed. I truly want to support local companies, but reliability and communication are key.

Frederick and his team did a fantastic job. They communicated with us throughout the process, from planning to design and installation. The installation was completed in just one day, and we love our new fence. We recommend them for all your fencing needs.

We were new to town and i asked a neighbor a couple blocks away who installed his fence. He said Northern Neck Fence Co. I stopped by the store to talk to them. That day Mark came out to measure and check the site. I learned they had installed the existing wood fence when our house was built. We are very pleased with the experience and the care in which they made sure we were satisfied. Highly recommend if you are in need of Fence work.

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.

Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.
Roof leak repair cost generally ranges from $300 to $800, depending on the size and location of the leak, the materials required, and labor intensity. Complex leaks involving structural repairs or interior damage will cost more.

Mobile home roof replacement cost typically ranges from $3,000 to $8,000, making it generally more affordable than traditional home roof replacements, due to smaller size and simpler structure.
It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.
The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.
To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
