Mark and his crews are very easy to work with and they stay on top of their projects. Their ability to work with the insurance companies are amazing on restorations! We are very pleased with all the work that has been done! We highly recommend this company! We would rate at 10 stars if we could! You can’t go wrong with this company! They take the worry out of large projects!

Matthew Hanvey came out to our property to assess after I had some questions regarding mold remediation. He was professional and courteous while also reassuring me that our problems were not as large as I had initially thought. He was very helpful and pointed me in the right direction during our free consultation even though we didn't end up needing any paid services from North Alabama Restorations. Great experience!

Very unprofessional. They knew upfront that insurance was handling payments. They harassed me daily wanting payments knowing that their work had to be inspected. They spilled paint in my driveway, left screws on my roof that I still find in my driveway, and they bought hundreds of dollars of unnecessary supplies. Will never use them again.

I recommend this professional company for all of your restoration needs . They did an awesome job ! The project manager Gary was awesome.

The 1st restoration manager was a poor communicator and seemed very inexperienced. His replacement was much better but limited since he was getting "caught up". The flooring contractor left gouges and exposed nailheads that they attempted to cover with putty. These have not been addressed after numerous requests. Think 3 or 4 times before hiring North Alabama Restorations - and then DON'T.

North Alabama Restorations were excellent in completing the work on time. They were prompt, reliable, courteous and friendly. The work performed was fantastic and they were always open to any changes to the scope of work. I highly recommend this company for any home repairs be it insurance claim or remodel

Since the May 8th tornado that hit our home Brigadoon, Athens Alabama, this has been the most stressful, no skilled labor workers and we are still not done 4 months later. Nothing has been “restored”. All work was always left incomplete and all on the cheap and left a mess. Tore up all my gardens; now digging a foot deep ditch in my back yard so the “New Fence” gate with close. Also, use hand made hardware (PVC pipe) to attach fence to house/retaining wall. No job has been left complete or correct. Would never recommend this company to even my worst enemy.

UPDATE: It is April 16th, 2025 and North Alabama STILL has not completed our tornado damage from May 9, 2024!!!! We have houses in our neighborhood that have been rebuilt in this amount of time. Insane. I recommend to all, do not use this company! V

UPDATE: It is now May 16th, 2025, over a year since we hired this company to make storm repairs. STILL NOT completed. I continue to be given dates when certain work will be completed and it never happens by the said date. Today, Gary, the “supervisor “ would complete the last piece of work himself today and send photos when the work was completed. DID NOT HAPPEN. This is not the first time GARY made this promise which turned out to be a lie once again! Gary is so unorganized and he makes excuses and lies, lies, lies! All workers are completely unskilled illegals who demolish more than they repair. By far the worst experience ever. We have entire home taken down to the ground and rebuilt BEFORE this incompetent business has made repairs to our home. Please do not use this company. You will be so stressed out and severely disappointed. Vic

This is the second time I have used North Alabama Restorations. They helped me this time when the first company that my insurance recommended completely dropped the ball (I should have called them first...that was my mistake). They came in swiftly and got our repairs done timely. We did have a disagreement during the process, but it was all settled well beyond my expectations and I can honestly say I have never seen a company make things right as much as they did, it absolutely made me even more thankful that I did business with them. Projects and working with people can be difficult but if a company is willing to dialogue it makes a world of difference. I am extremely happy with the results of my project and would highly recommend using North Alabama Restorations to anyone who needs restorations done in their home.

Don’t ever use if you want someone who comes back over a month after your confirmed everything was taken care of expecting a large amount of a payment you were never aware would exist and threatening to sue you within a day because you’re questioning such method of operation. Unprofessional and a complete joke.

North Alabama Restoration did a put-back job for my Mother’s kitchen that had water damage. Everyone on the job was professional and tidy. Even with sanding and finishing hardwood flooring, there was no mess whatsoever. Gary, the superintendent was extremely patient and answered every single text and phone call during the process. We really liked that they had in-house cabinet professionals-there was no wait for cabinet work, and the work is flawless. Her kitchen looks better than ever. They included us on the job software updates which was invaluable to us. Thanks to all the crews and also thanks to Matt, Kiki and Erin for guiding my mother through the insurance process. Much appreciated. We highly recommend them to anyone.

Very happy with our experience. Water damage in 3 rooms. Replaced drywall, baseboards, painted and put things back together. Crew was very conscious about cleaning up afterwards! They all did a great job for us and had lots of different people checking in to make sure we were happy during the process. Would definitely recommend and will call them for any future needs!

North alabama did an amazing work and putting my kitchen back together. I obtained water damage during the winter of 2024. My kitchen was basically destroyed, Water damage on the floor, the cabinets, the walls, the dishwasher was not working and I had some electrical problems. North Alabama did an amazing job in repairing the flooring cabinets and walls everything was put back perfectly. I would definitely recommend this company.

These guys done great work on my home on the exterior and interior. Had to fix some drywall patches and reinstall my gutters that were coming off the house. Everything they touch was done correctly and i couldn’t tell where they had patch my drywall.. we’ll be using these guys again in the future !

They did an awesome job and although she felt the inevitable inconvenience of a large flooring project, she is loving the new floors. This company did some repair work in my bathroom, living room and kitchen. I was super on edge being my first claim but they reassured me through out the entire process. They were fast and I cannot brag enough about the work they did. I would not recommend any other company.

My main problem with this company was getting them to repair the mistakes. I would call, text, email, fuss, cuss and hound them for months until they would finally do their job. I still have floor panels popping up, and they will not return my calls. I'm wondering if the stalling was on purpose to run out the warranty. I lost a lot of money on this company. I will be posting a complaint in a few weeks on the BBB website. I hate doing this, but they gave me no choice.

The company work was not acceptable to me. I had water damage in my laundry room. They did the work quickly but, they did not clean up and the plumber didn’t put the hot water in correctly, they damaged one heater and had to return it. I finally had to call another plumber to correct what he did. Now I have had to call someone to reinstall washer and dryer because since their work the dryer vent fell out. They said they would come back and take the trash away but they didn’t and I had to remove it. Although some parts of the work they did was ok. There were other major parts that was not, so I would not use them again.

The inspector came out and said I needed to have shingles and flashing replaced. He recommended a patch "job".
I received an initial call from the business letting me know when to expect the roofer. Roofer showed up, but couldn't work because of rain. He came back a couple of days later and installed shingles, replaced the flashing, and damaged the siding on the dormer while replacing the flashing. Roofer informed me he would return to repair the damage at his expense.
Didn't receive any call from business on when the roofer would be back, but roofer showed up unexpectedly and repaired the siding. Roofer left, but the siding was still not correct. I had to call and request an inspection because the business wanted payment.
Inspector returned and agreed the job was not done correctly. He notated issues, but never provided me with the list, and said he would schedule the roofer's return. I was expecting a call to coordinate the roofer's return, but no one called.
Roofer comes out again, without any notification from business, fixes the damage to the siding, and says everything looks good. Business calls and wants payment. I asked if anyone was going to come and inspect the roof and siding again. Was told that no one had been scheduled to come out and inspect the final repair. But, the business would send someone out if I was not satisfied with the final product. This was even more frustrating since the roofer had already been out multiple times and not completely repaired the damage to the siding.
This is so unprofessional. There were no prior calls for coordinate the roofer to come out; no list detailing what was going to be fixed/repaired from the damage the roofer caused, and now payment was being requested for work completed.
I will not be using this company again.

We had some growing pains in the beginning, but they did a good job and I was satisfied with their work. With any contractors, you are in charge. I have a new kitchen.

Oh my, where to begin. My project was extensive, with many issues. My home was torn apart inside and out from a firework mishap gone horribly wrong. Total repairs were $56K. Mark and his team were beyond caring, responsive, patient, on time, hard working, dedicated, and so much more. They have an app that they use to communicate with the whole team assigned to a project, office staff, construction crew, everyone. The process was the most professional and responsive that we have ever experienced. We had things out of the ordinary like when they deconstructed our back deck to replace metal and such, they took down our gutters in some areas and we had water begin to come in the house from rain. They came out on a weekend TWICE and worked to correct this issue whilst our repairs were taking place, at no charge to us, basically costing themselves a lot of money. We were not able to be home when the concrete guys came, Mark willingly paid the concrete guys and added it to our bill (WOW! just WOW!), again showing sincere dedication and superior customer care and service. They stayed late more than once trying to get our deck reassembled in time for a family wedding function we were trying to host. These are just the big things that can be named to show how much this business cares about its customers. They kept in touch every day with us to keep us posted on the many different areas of our project. When we need a contractor, we know who to call.

This company is very unprofessional and rude. Bunch of Jackhats. The owner allows it’s employees to be rude and demeaning to potential customers. I initially invited them to send me a quote to install a new roof on my home. I asked them to send me a quote and SOW and never received one. When they were rude to me I told them I wouldn’t hire them to install a new roof. I wouldn’t hire them to build a dog house and put a roof on it,

North Alabama Restoration took my home, that was very old, but we wanted to keep it, and redone the entire house. It’s beautiful and they kept a family heirloom alive for us. For the staff, from top to bottom, they were professional, on time, and courteous. I would use them for all my needs. Terrific job!! I have been dealing with this company since late December 2020/January 2021. I had a septic overflow and had to have my floors redone and my shower replaced. In almost a year of dealing with them (yes, it's taken that long and it's still not done), I have not had a good experience at all!!! They make promises they don't keep. They don't communicate at all. They do poor work. There is little oversight. They are extremely slow. They are nice people, but it's only to attempt to cover for how inadequate they are in every other area. I can't wait til they FINALLY finish the work in my home so I NEVER have to deal with them again.

So let me start off by saying the crew is still here in my home as I type this. I could be wrong but maybe it's my awesome personality but the crew and I work well together. They are all very nice and respectful. I joke around a lot and they went right along with it. I like to keep the environment light when people come to work in my home. I think it allows everyone to be comfortable with each other which allows for a better work environment.

Anyway, I've worked with this company 3 years ago when I had a leak in the wall. With the help of USAA, they came in and fixed everything and replaced all the flooring in my home. I was so impressed that now, three years later, I asked that they come back for a remodel on my new home. The team is great, Mark is awesome and I like that communication is what they do best so everyone is on the same page. Next project I have, I'm definitely gonna call this company again.

My insurance company referred us to North Alabama Restorations for a water damage claim, where we had damage in three different rooms. From the beginning, with Brandon coming in for to look at the house for an estimate, to the end, where Nathan and another gentleman were making the finishing touches on the house, there was consistent professionalism & assurance that everything was going to turn out just fine.
Being that this was our first home insurance claim, we were very relieved on how easy they made everything for us.
Thank you to their project manager as well, Taylor, for keeping everything on track and making sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. We will definitely consider using you all again in the future.

I had a water leak. My insurance agent recommended NARR. I was worried because I have never gone through an event like this before. He assured me they would take great care of me. THEY DID!! Jenard showed up to prepare an estimate and talked me through what would happen. He took his time and made sure that I understood the process. He also explained the time frame to me.

When the crew showed up they had a Project Manager with them. His name was Mark. This manager was there every day to make sure they did the work right. He talked with me each day. He also made sure I knew who was coming and what time. Being a young female- I appreciated knowing who to look for each day.

They completed all work as agreed. IT LOOKED GREAT. I could not tell a difference where the damage happened. Everyone one I dealt with there was super friendly. I would highly recommend them.

Please DO Not Use this company. The roof that was put on my house has dips in it, which was explained to me that with the new decking the dips would be not more. However the owner, Mark Jewel, said that they put new decking over old decking, did they not know any better. Later to find out that the new decking will conform to the old decking. The shingles are still lifted up on my roof after I was told several times that they would flatten down after the sun hit them. I've call the owner a few times asking him to correct it, he became very angry and stated that I was harassing him and he would call the police if I call him again. Well Mark Jewell get ready to call the police because you will be receiving more than a phone call from me. The guys who wanted my business was very nice to me but Mark is another story. Mark says it's the structure of the house, that's a lie. My house is the only one in my neighborhood my dips in the roof. Mark is very unprofessional, he even hung the phone up on me. I can promise him that his day is coming. Again DO NOT.... I REPEAT DO NOT USE NORTH ALABAMA ROOFING & RESTORATION. If you have any problems Mark is not the best person to work with.

I was very pleased with the work done. My roof looks great ! I had some questions about certain sections of the roof while work was being done about the underlying plywood; they fixed areas that needed it and assured me of an area I was concerned about was okay. The crew was friendly and were attentive to clean up. The office staff and all personnel were very professional and polite. I would recommend them to my friends and family

North Alabama Roofing was very responsive to requests and kept me informed of the progress. They provided pictures after finishing the work. I really appreciated that they cleaned up after their work!

Randall and his team, as well as Molly, the project coordinator, did an excellent job with the necessary repairs. They completed them in a timely manner, everything was done correctly, and they went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied. Jenard, the estimator, and Chris, the supply coordinator, also did a great job. Highly recommend North Alabama Roofing and Restoration, especially Randall and his crew.

We contacted the company about a large amount work we wanted to have completed in order to put our house on the market. The estimator came out fairly quickly so we were excited to get a contract & get things started. However, after contacting the company multiple times, it took nearly THREE WEEKS to get a contract. Once we signed the contract, we were told we would hear from a contractor who would get us on the schedule. Once again, we didn't hear from anyone for another TWO WEEKS & once again, I had to contact the company in order to get someone to call me back. When the young lady called, I explained what we had experienced. I was shocked that the apology was so shallow & only came when I told her we had moved on to someone else. We have about $8500 worth of work we want to have completed, but we WILL NOT be using North Alabama Roofing & Restoration now or in the future. We were so disappointed.

North Alabama Roofing and Restoration was sent to do an estimate from our insurance company the last week of February. After almost a week, the insurance company received the quote, which according to our agent, was "unusually slow". The repairs in question were two exterior doors that needed replacing and a small section of wall (about 1 square foot) that needed patching. We were told that NARR would call us and set up a time to do the repairs. We never heard from them.
I called them myself and was informed we needed to fill out a some documentation in order to begin work. I did not receive that documentation and had to call back a few days later for it be sent via email. We promptly filled it out and returned it, only to again not hear a return call.
Finally, we called again and they sent someone out to the house. He was over an hour late, while I left work early to be there. I don't fault him, he's a nice guy and is just trying to work. The company is to blame in this.
They were not able to find a replacement door in a timely manner. The other contractors we have been in contact with knew instantly where to get the door and are ready to go.
On top of it all, their estimate included painting our kitchen, which we didn't ask for or need, and painting the entire living room area, which again we did not ask for or need. None of those areas were in need of repair.
We have wasted a month with this company and still have broken exterior doors to our house. We are using another company and should have the repairs done within the week.

I have supporting documentation for all of this. DO NOT use this company.

Today is August 28th 2014 and it was a year today you fixed my ceiling. A piece just cracked again two or three days ago :(

2018....this company still hasn't fixed my roof or my ceilings :(
