Small visitor center, but really enjoy how the NASA team worked hard to make the best of the available space. Also really cool from the observation deck to see the actual facility.

NASA Wallops Flight Facility offers an interesting, albeit dated, visitor experience that provides a valuable look into the important work done here.

The visitor center and its small museum are quite informative, detailing the various projects and missions undertaken at Wallops. While some of the exhibits show their age, the content itself is engaging and sheds light on the significant contributions this facility makes to space exploration and scientific research. It's clear a lot of fascinating work happens behind the scenes here.

The undeniable highlight, which we unfortunately didn't get to experience, is the opportunity to witness a rocket launch. I can only imagine the thrill of seeing one of these events firsthand, and it's certainly a compelling reason to plan a visit around a launch schedule if possible.

My main hope for the future is to see some investment in updating the museum's facilities. A refresh of the exhibits would undoubtedly enhance the visitor experience and better showcase the incredible advancements happening at Wallops.

Despite the dated aesthetic, NASA Wallops is well worth a visit for anyone interested in space, aviation, and the vital role this facility plays. Keep an eye on their launch schedule – that's where the real magic happens!

I'd rate this a 3 for repeat visitors due to limited hours, a small space, a somewhat remote location, and limited options for smaller children (compared to my last visit in 2020). If you haven't been and you're able to time a visit with a trip to or from Chincoteague, it's definitely worth a visit! I didn't see any space food in the gift shop... and that felt strange.

Not a huge place, but it was enough. If you are looking for a quick visit where you dont have to spend hours reading all the displays, then this is a good stop for you. Also...FREE admission! The displays were informative and up-to-date. Clean restrooms and a nice little gift shop whose merchandise wasn't overpriced. The outside of the building and grounds as you enter could use some sprucing up...maybe a pressure wash.

Had a great time visiting this location. It’s not huge so an hour visit is plenty enough and totally worth it. Free admission. Even saw some turtles laying eggs outside.

This is an interesting museum/visitors center for its history in our space program from the very early days of rockets. It serves as a watch point for rockets taking off to this day. There is also interesting information on the stratospheric balloon missions.
It is a great first stop on a trip to Chincoteague and Assateague islands. Ell worth the time.
Better go soon it might not survive the DOGE budget cuts.

Every time we go to Chincoteague with our Camper, we ALWAYS go here! Our daughter (and us) LOVE it. She especially loves the astronaut Ice Creams! Not only is it free, but the displays and information is pretty dang cool! If you are in this area, trust us, its worth the stop! I had an enjoyable experience at NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility Visitor Center! The exhibits are fascinating, showcasing the history of space exploration and the important work done at Wallops. There are plenty of interactive displays and educational materials, making it an engaging visit for both adults and kids. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, eager to share insights about the facility and space science.

The highlight for me was seeing the rocket models and learning about the launches that take place here—it’s incredible to think about the real-world impact of the research and missions. The outdoor area has great views of the surrounding landscape and is perfect for taking photos.

The only downside was that the visitor center is a bit small, so it didn’t take long to go through everything. Still, it’s worth the visit, especially if you’re interested in space or the history of NASA’s programs. A solid 4-star experience overall!

Fantastic experience. The facility looks small, but when you enter inside, it is big, with different allocated areas for wealth of information and interactive areas for different activities. Fascinating, I could spent an entire day there. NASA should get more funding for the kind of work the agency does, Amazing!! It's free admission, open Saturdays.

Fantastic place to check out our Virginian part of the national space industry! It has a relatively small, but modern-looking and informative exposition about space exploration and the Wallops island NASA Flight facility. You can see a collection of sounding rockets outside the building. People here are very nice and friendly, they're ready to help you with all the questions you have regarding this place, as well as the spaceport launching site.

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
