We are very happy with our new kitchen. The process to remodel our old kitchen was daunting but we soon realized that with the Murphy's Bro team we were in good hands.Jonah, Brittney, Tom, Mark and Patrick were all extremely nice to work with. They made the experience personal and we felt taken care of. We LOVE our new kitchen. The best compliment: my sister who lives in Italy and who's an interior decorator freak commented upon seeing the pictures "you guys got yourself a Chip and Joanna's kitchen". Indeed Murphy's Bros Fixed and Upped our kitchen!!!!!

Murphy Bros. recently completed a major home reconstruction project for us after the combination of a failed water heater/furnace and frigid temps last winter resulted in numerous frozen pipes, compromised pipe fittings, damage to plumbing fixtures and appliances throughout our house, and limited water damage to ceilings and walls. Cabinetry had to be removed, walls and ceilings had to be opened up to access piping, and all of the piping had to be replaced. Then they had to restore the walls and ceilings to original state, rebuild/install cabinetry and install new fixtures and appliances. We couldn't have been more pleased with the Murphy Bros. team that managed and executed the project, and the end result. Jeff R. and David B. both kept us well informed throughout the project, were very responsive, and most importantly kept the project moving along. In fact, they finished two weeks ahead of schedule. As project manager, David never ceased to exceed our expectations. Just a couple examples where we'd say he went above and beyond expectations, include his personal efforts to remove rust stains left by the waste dumpster on the driveway, and his initiative to go out and purchase a new broom for us when it was brought to his attention the broom we previously had in our garage was missing. Other employees and subcontractors we met were likewise also very personable, helpful and professional. Shoutouts specifically to Earl, Carson and Tyler. Bottom line is we have no reservation highly recommending Murphy Bros to others who may be looking for a home restoration/remodeling contractor you can trust!

We used Murphy Brothers for a large porch addition to our home. We started with an old open deck, and had a vision for our dream three-season porch. It was a large project. The porch is 18x20', needed to be raised three feet to match our main floor level, includes completely new French door opening, a vaulted ceiling, full surround Sunspace 4-panel windows, and an outside deck area for the grill. We told them we wanted it to look like it was always there as a part of the original home, and they delivered - inside, outside and the roof line all look great. We also wanted the feel of being in a tree house when enjoying the porch, and that's exactly what we got. A couple other things we really appreciated were the clear constant communication, and how well they cleaned up the site during the entire duration of the project. Even the neighbors commented how impressed they were with their hard work and respect for the tight cul-de-sac neighborhood. A great team all around, but key were Jeff, our Design Consultant, David, our Project Manager, and Earl, our Lead Carpenter (a true craftsman). We are very happy with the end result, and highly recommend Murphy Brothers.

Murphy Bros. remodeled our master bathroom. The end result was stunning. Every worker who entered our home was professional and an expert in their field of work. Earl and his assistant, Tyler, began the job with demolition, arriving during the worst of snowstorms this past winter. Earl was present throughout the project, a master of all trades.
Jeff the plumber, his brother did an excellent job.
Lance, the tile engineer, had an extraordinary feat working with glass tiles.
The painters, Jim and Alfredo, made sure the job was perfect.
Dennis, the wallpaper technician, was a true artist.
And, of course, Courtney Cartee, Allied ASID, designed the whole project, transforming the outdated room into a beautiful yet functional bathroom.

This company does not prioritize safe driving; one of their trucks nearly ran my kids over in the crosswalk today in Snelling and Randolph. He didn't even look for pedestrians, just rolled right through the light despite the fact that there was a boatload of school children there and the WALK SIGN WAS ON.

There are so many great companies around, choose one that respects the community that they're working in.

I have been working with Murphy Bros for the past year and a half and am in the final stages of the project now. The bathroom took about three weeks to complete and the kitchen was done over a total time of about a week. A long wait for about a month of work, but that doesn't include the time that they took to help pick fixtures and design, work with the insurance company or secure permits... While I didn't expect things to take this long, the work completed has been quick once it commenced and the carpenters, tiler, plumbers, and painters have all been top notch and very professional. The people at murphy bros that i have worked with have had integrity and are quick to pick up the phone or reply to an email. I would work with them again.

I worked with Scott Loso this year. He went to bat for us against an insurance company that was trying to take advantage of us. Without Scott the insurance company offered us nothing, but after a few negotiations and an arbitration he got us enough to get our kitchen completely renovated and back in order. Without him we wouldn't have gotten much if anything. He is in constant contact at very quick to respond to messages. I had a very positive experience working with Scott and Murphy Bros.

Working with Murphy Bros was great! They listened to our ideas, came up with a few of their own and gave us a remodel that we are very proud of.

We had a complete kitchen remodel. Murphy Bros was professional and communicative. The designer Kaycee has a great eye and helped make our vision a reality. Drew our project manager was wonderful! He did everything to make us happy. He responded promptly and calmly handled any glitches in the project with absolute professionalism. Ryan the lead carpenter went above and beyond. Not only is he a great carpenter, he took on extra projects that helped us stay on track. We are extremely happy with our experience with Murphy Bros and would highly recommend them. We absolutely LOVE our kitchen!

Murphy Bros replaced our roof after storm damage. The did a great job of working with us and the insurance company. They kept us informed throughout the process and and did high quality work.

This was our first Design Build. Normally I would manage my own projects however my normal position of a PM/SME took precedence. The Designer did great with assisting us on design and decision making. The master bathroom turned out great. We decided to save money and do the demo, plumbing, and cabinets ourselves. The reason for only 4 stars is the designer should have known the maintenance factor on marble floors in shower. Looks awesome but we need to be very careful on cleaning products and even types of soaps we use. We originally asked for a floor to ceiling glass, the glass company suggested to use a door because of difficulty with installation. I mentioned if there were no thresholds then I would be fine with it. When it came time to install, they almost drilled for a threshold. Project was stalled and we got the wall to ceiling glass. Prior to agreement we were informed that a team of carpenters for the 4-6 week project was assigned. The reality was one carpenter. Adrian was outstanding. I would have just hired him. The negative was that the project took more than 8 weeks. So the lessons learned: Understand the materials you use and maintenance involved. Stick with your decisions and don't let sub-contractors (glass) talk you out of something without your designer knowing.

Murphy Bros. worked with us to redesign our kitchen within our budget to maximize the use of existing space, to brighten (and lighten up) said space. The granite countertops are wonderful and the undercabinet lighting helps our aging eyes. The drawers were reworked so they operate better. The project was done on time and with minimal inconvenience.

I love Murphy Brothers. Their attention to detail is excellent and so is there follow through. I have had several things done by them and they get their estimates done in an extremely timely manner and they also get to work scheduled and completed in a timely manner. Besides the workmanship is just excellent and the prices have always beat other competitors. I would strongly recommend Murphy Brothers for your needs

Murphy Brothers has been a great company to work for the last 5 years. There scheduling has been very on point and given us enough time to schedule. All of there designers, job supervisors, carpenters have been great to work with. Payments are on time. I work for 6 other remodelers and i would hire Murphy Brothers to do my own remodel. Great company a cut above the rest.

I have been calling on Murphy Bros Design as a Tile Sales Representative for the past two and half years and thoroughly enjoy working with them. It's easy to see that they are a close team; working together to achieve beautiful and functional spaces. Not to mention that John Murphy, President, always has a warm handshake and genuine smile that immediately puts you at ease. During new product showings not only the Designers attend but the entire team is there to see what’s new; that is not common in my experience. It’s refreshing to have the project managers asking technical questions along with the design aspects of tile. I feel this shows how important it is to the company that everyone is on the same page.

Our family has had two exceptional experiences with Murphy Bros. Construction over the past nearly 20 years. We first met John Murphy at the Minneapolis Home Show when we were looking to add onto our home, rather than move from our great neighborhood. We were put in contact with a home owner who had used Murphy Bros. for a project similar to the one we were considering. This home owner and the other references that John had put us in contact with, all sang high praises for Murphy Bros., their construction crew and the quality of craftsmanship they had provided.
Our first project that we embarked on with Murphy Bros.was a master bedroom suite above our garage.The 1000 sq. ft. addition included a large bedroom with vaulted ceiling, large walk-in closet, master bathroom that included double sink/vanity, walk-in shower and oversized soaking tub. The plans for the project were originally drawn up to include a very tall foyer to update the exterior of our 1960’s home. Halfway through the construction process, the crew lead, Rick, suggested that instead of making this massive foyer, that we might consider a more reasonably sized foyer and convert some of that extra space to include a nursery/office just a couple of steps up from the bedroom area. The insight and veteran experience of their crew leader was quickly realized and within a day, our great project turned into an amazing project! I can’t tell you how many times my husband and I have retreated to our master bedroom and said, the addition we had made with Murphy Bros., was one of the best decisions we have ever made!
Our second project with John Murphy and his crew, was a total basement reconstruction. In 2007 we discovered our original basement slab had collapsed due to an undiscovered rupture of our kitchen drain line leading to our homes main line. Years of water seeping into the ground supporting the concrete foundation led to the jackhammering and removal of the concrete slab, all of the walls and ceilings in our finished basement. The catastrophic and unexpected project was complicated and required skill and experience, again John and his crew came to the rescue. The restoration and update of our basement living area went smoothly, cleanly and without stress, again a testament to a construction company who have the experience and understanding of many years of great customer care.
Our two projects with Murphy Bros. have been very positive ones. They have been great taking care of warranty issues and really strive to make sure their customers are completely happy when the job is completed. From the front desk to the designers, to the onsite craftsman, the staff of Murphy Bros. Home Remodelers take pride in creating a home that their clients can live more comfortably in and will be proud to share with family and friends for years to come!!
