Motel 6 Hillsville, VA

Staff was not accommodating at all. My Semi Truck is broken down in the shop and was politely minding my business in the lobby waiting for check in. Was told I needed to leave or they would call the Police as I'd rather politely wait for check in time rather than pay an early check in fee as my company was covering the hotel. If you are a stranded truck driver DO NOT COME HERE, go to one of the nicer hotels nearby who are friendly and more willing to accommodate you.

The most awful chairs to "relax " in. Hotels should be cozy and want you to stay, the bed sleeps ok but is so soft you slide off the edge, with these uncomfortable and very small fragile chairs there's no place to sit to even put your shoes on. The ac doesnt ho fown enough to cool the room and the curtains dont cover enough window to keep out the street,city or motel lights.

The room was clean, modern and reasonably priced. Patel, the front desk attendant is super. So helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this motel!

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Deposit for a dog. Room with king bed, basic room layout, spacious except bathroom was tiny, and the room was very very clean.

This motel had clean affordable rooms. If you have a larger vehicle or trailer keep in mind parking is limited and may be too tight for your vehicle.

Definitely one of the cleanest motel 6 we have stayed at. Our stay was great I would recommend this motel to all my families and friends as we all come for our next trip.

I had little hope when I chose this place. We just needed to rest. There was hair in the tub. The sheets were dirty there was ketchup or blood on the ice bucket tray. There was crud stuck on the walls. It smelled so bad. Spiderwebs with spider and bugs along door. One thing I did like was the lady in the office she was the sweetest

Inexpensive and super clean with good amenities. Very clean. Management is conscientious. Only local Inn that allowed our two border collie dogs. Would recommend for budget conscious folks. Parks, stores, restaurants, and even jobs are within walking distance.

Don’t do it! It’s scary, noisy, disgusting. We ordered DoorDash and asked it be handed to me. It was dropped at the door and my boy friend saw him run off. The walls had boot marks. The bathroom had stuff on the wall the was gross. Don’t stay here. The toilet was clean and the at least but the seat was broke. Don’t stay here!

Very clean everything worked clean bathtub clean sink clean floors comfortable bed. I had two small dogs and they did just fine. I did not use the refrigerator or microwave. The towels were not like sandpaper there was a nice big TV lots of light and lots of electrical plug-ins. The hot water was hot and I guess the shower head did dribble a little bit.

I was in Hillsville the other day and needed a place to sleep for about 7 hours. The Motel 6 is a great choice. Room was super clean, front desk clerk was friendly, and the prices were very reasonable ($73 including tax). Will definitely stay here again!

For the price this hotel was so clean, and pretty. It was extremely nice for the cheapness of it, we were all shocked. The service was great and helped us out a lot. We would definitely go back if we are ever in the area again!

The room was clean. Price was very good, especially since there was no pet fee. Grounds were well maintained and there is a large grassy area to walk the dog. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms have hard flooring, no carpet, which I like.

Clean room, comfortable bed, helpful & friendly night staff, and amazing shower. Would definitely stay again. We stayed for one night to take a break from driving and it went above our expectations!

My stay at [Motel 6, 57 Airport, Hillsville, VA] was comfortable and met my expectations for a budget-friendly accommodation. It's a decent option for travelers looking for a simple place to stay without frills. The price was reasonable for the area and what was provided. The staff at the front desk were friendly and check-in was smooth. The room was clean upon arrival, and housekeeping did a good job during my stay.

Nice clean hotel , tv was okay had netflix but about average for a hotel. The shower pressure was really nice and hot. Overall, it was a very nice clean hotel for a quick stop to rest. I would ask for extra towels if u have kids.. would come again when traveling this way again..

Oh please for nd this review and save yourself from booking here. New booked at midnight on a road trip south not expecting anything wonderful just a safe clean place to sleep for 6 hrs. Imaging getting room 117 and upon entering finding live and dead roaches in the corner, numerous beetles on the walls and a true swarm of ants across the floor , on the cabinets and quickly In-N-Out bags we had just set down. The door to the room did not latch completely leaving a space for the hundreds of insects to come on in. We brushed everything off and went back to the office and was given room 206 which did not have any noticeable live bugs but two dead ones upside down and a filthy fridge. |We noticed the front desk gentleman go into our first room armed with a can of RAID and a broom and he entered and sprayed the bugs . All I could think of besides the horror of the ants etc was how some child or pet was going to touch those chemicals with bare skin. Such a safety concern for some uninformed innocent traveler.|In the morning I turned in my room key and brought that up but the front desk young lady now was unpleasant. I asked Hotwire to consider not listing them as a “very good “ property as it was disgusting. They phoned the hotel and told me they were hung up on by the staff of motel 6 so they refunded 90|Dollars to my card. Since Hotwire said they seemed unreasonable and rude. Beware do NOT head here for simple and clean. Spend the extra and stay somewhere reputable and be safe.

We checked in at 5:00pm, after driving for 14hrs.The room was nice, but they put a family above our room with kids. The kids were running on the floor until 9:40 pm, and we needed to be up by 4am.

However my room smelled like smoke, and only had two sad pillows. Turning the air conditioner on made the smell almost comely go away.

Newly renovated, the room was spacious and clean. Love that they are one of the few cat friendly hotels. Check-in and check-out were easy and fast. Convenient location. Safe and felt comfortable staying here as a solo traveler.

The motel is located off the highway and the staff is very accommodating. The room is clean and reasonably priced.

This is one of the nicest Motel 6 rooms I’ve ever stayed in. The check-in was quick and the woman at the front desk was welcoming and efficient. I was impressed with how clean and obviously renovated the room was. I was traveling with a cat and a chihuahua, so I asked for a pet friendly room. This room is so clean. The air conditioner window unit is new and clean, as are the microwave and mini fridge. Plenty of clean fluffy towels and a firm mattress with clean bedding.
The room I stayed in is first floor on the back side, and it felt very secluded and safe and not in the middle of an intersection. Parking was easy.
The welcome note with the TV menu and pet policy really impressed me. Also, great Direct TV and channels (HBO is included).
The water pressure and bathtub are in great shape.
The room had a hairdryer and conditioner and soap. Very nice clean floors. Sometimes I feel like pet friendly motels give people with pets the worst rooms, but this was not the case.
Nice area and near stores and basic food joints with downtown Hillsville only minutes away.
The people I encountered while running errands were very friendly and I was not concerned for my safety in this town.
Would for sure stay here again. The price is reasonable & it’s one of the nicest roadside budget motel I’ve ever come across.
Ohh.. the lobby room has a vending machine and there is more than one ice machine on site.

Only $10 more than Motel 6 but soooo much better! Cleaner larger and newer rooms, nice bathroom, free breakfast and I just feel much safer here. It is also pet friendly!

We arrived around midnight and got right into our room quickly. The gentleman working the front was very friendly and efficient (which I appreciated after being in the car for hours!). Upon entering the room, first took note that the light was not left on. Once we found the switch we noticed the well lit room was clean and perfect for a quick overnight stop. 10/10 would stay here again! From aesthetic perspective, rooms could use a little art work, perhaps photos of dogs that have visited the hotel would be fitting.

To add, there were several gas stations & fast food stops nearby...not sure what more you could expect from a highway stop.

Don't. Like the fact the charged my card an extra $100 dollars saying room smell of smoke which there wasn't any smoking at all....and received call day's later after check out..

Parking was difficult. The sanitation was not up to my standards. It was quiet. No breakfast was available but is close to restaurants. The bed was hard and the heat/air unit was extremely loud and took some work to get adjusted properly. There was no in room coffee or coffee in the lobby that I saw. This is a convenient location if you're traveling the interstate.

Check in was simple. The room was clean, you can tell the hotel was old but recently renovated. For the price it was an excellent value. I would stay there again.

Definitely will stay here again on my way to West Virginia. The lady who checked us in on Saturday night offered good customer service. The room was very clean, and the motel was well taken care of and clean. Close to highway.

For a Motel 6, this is nice. The person who checked me in was pleasant. The problem was the lighting. The main light in the room was a super-bright spotlight by the door -- so bright that looking toward the door left spots in my eyes. There was a single switch underneath the two lights at bedside, but it didn't work... I asked at the front desk and she showed me the hidden switches under the lights themselves. The lamp on the desk area was so dim that it was useless... it also was loose and leaned over. At least the lights in the bathroom area were normal!

Rooms are very nice and clean. Very affordable for the quality. Nice TV, fridge, shower etc. Beds are very clean, room smells good coming in. The gentleman at the front desk was very kind, and had no issue at all with our dog being with us. This will be our new go to when we're passing through!

Tho the rooms feel cold because there is no carpet, they were 100% better the the Best Western wr stayed at!!

Definitely one of the nicest motel 6’s we’ve stayed at. The only issue we had with our room was a little mold on the shower curtain. Besides that our stay was great. I recommend this motel to a couple of my colleagues as we all make our way to our next job site.

We were extremely pleased with our stay. This was our first stay at a Motel 6 and we couldn’t have been happier. The room was very clean and the AC was cold. The location was great and we will definitely stay here again

I always have low expectations at Motel 6, but this one was clean and quiet, staff was friendly and they had lots of cameras for security. I enjoyed my stays.

This motel was appealing to me as it was less expensive than others in the area and was located right off I-77 near some fast food restaurants and gas stations. I took a chance after reading some of the reviews about it being dirty.

I arrived after a long day of driving (like probably most visitors who stay here). I enter the main office was pretty bland, dirty, and not inviting at all. You can tell that they were trying to do some renovations.

The room itself was very mismatched and also uninviting. The moulding and doors had grime on them and either needed to be cleaned or painted. The bathroom was very dated with the light switch being from 1975 and one of the lights missing and having exposed wires. I wasn’t here long enough to kick and scream about it but someone should look into it. The air conditioner was smelly and kept on going on-and-off all night waking up (we set it to stay on). There were not pictures or decor in the room just blank walls. The accent chair was stained with some nasty stuff. I could probably fix this room up in a day for $200 after going to Home Depot. I’m not completely sure they owners haven’t.

I had another night booked here on may way back through town but cancelled and decided to go a different route.

The bigger issue isn’t really the Motel 6 but the overall town. It’s pretty run down town and it seems like no one really cares to take care of it. Most of the hotels look like they are after thoughts from the big chains. It’s just a stop over for travelers and nothing really else. My honest opinion is to stay in another town.

Had no issues here, room was clean, bed was comfortable, ice and washer & dryer available. Desk staff was very nice.

We stopped on our way home. We read reviews that it was clean, and I really don’t understand how that is b/c the rooms (we had to switch from the 1st one b/c it had ants crawling everywhere, crumbs under a pillow along with clipped fingernails, ick!) are dirty! The second room had old food splattered all inside the microwave, etc. My skin felt like it was crawling all night. If we hadn’t been so exhausted, we wouldn’t have stayed. I hate to write a bad review because the staff is very friendly, but the cleaning needs to improve. I don’t care about frills, just wanted to rest.

I was basically homeless, waiting for my house to go through, and they said they'd help when nobody else wanted to.

Have stayed here several times, always spotlessly clean quiet and comfy, plus no extra charge for my doggie. Great value for your money.

Very clean and great staff. This location has been completely updated. Also great rates. The only thing not updated is the heating/air conditioner units. They are so loud that you can't sleep if you need to run. Wifi worked very good
