Alex and his crew of one were at our house everyday they said they'd be there. Alex responds 100% of the time to questions texted or e-mailed to him. He is extremely polite, clean, and reliable. We had a window rebuilt and two rooms painted. The window looks great (we'll have to wait for rain to see if the leak's fixed, but looks like it should be), and the repainted rooms also look great. Everything was covered when the rooms were painted, and there's no trace of paint anywhere in the rooms where it shouldn't be. Alex is a terrific person who is responsive and reliable; something that's hard to find in contractors these days.

We hired Alex to redo the hallway in our condo. He got deposit check from HOA for $9000 and for a month after was saying the HOA check did not clear so he is not working.
I paid workers myself and after I and HOA confronted Alex about either the work or the money he just disappeared.

Alex did a fantastic job breaking up and leveling out a concrete slab and installing artificial grass in my back yard. It was a simple job that became very complicated due to live electrical wires that were discovered under the concrete. Alex was able to make the wires safe by doing work at the circuit so the job could continue without delay and followed up after I had an electrician re-wire. I highly recommend Modern General Contractor! They were fast, friendly and efficient at a very reasonable price.
